krystalkatzficzSho glanced at his own reflection glad that the bruising around his eye had finally started to fade so that he was able to return to work though in reality he hadn’t been all that much of a hurry to go. He and Masaki had found an easy peace in each other’s company over the last couple of days and Sho was rapidly becoming convinced that his first thoughts and impression of Masaki had been so far off the mark they were in the solar system. Masaki was fun and deeply lovable with his enthusiasm for life and the way that he seemed to make things feel better.
Sho could easily imagine how his grandfather, upset and lost after his diagnosis, would find true comfort and friendship with Masaki. He himself had never felt so at ease with another human being before and he truly felt that he would still want a friendship once it was all said and done. Though, truth be told, friendship had been the last thing on his mind last night when they had been curled up on the sofa watching an old movie. There had been a charge in the air, at least for him, and now he was desperately trying not to think of warmed smooth skin and soft breaths against his neck but it was difficult and more so because he hadn’t been able to get a hold of Nino.
The whore normally answered within a couple of minutes unless he was with somebody and then it was only an hour. So far it had been two hours since calling and there had been no response. At first it had been frustrating but now he was starting to wonder if he was okay. There were no genuine feelings between them, it was a business relationship nothing more, but even he could get attached to business partners and Nino had helped him out through several periods of stress in his life.
Tapping his fingers against the polished wood of his desk, while wishing that he wasn’t quite so efficient with paperwork so that he had something to do, he let his mind wander over the dangerous roads and byways to Masaki. The man was everything that he wasn’t. Light hearted and joyful to the point of near childishness. So far he hadn’t seen much of his smile as it was always forced away by the sadness of his grandfather’s passing but when it was there it was powerful enough to out shine the sun. His eyes were also the kindest that he had ever seen on an actual real person but there was also something else in there…Something that seemed hard as though he was saying that he had already seen the worst that life had to offer but he wasn’t going to allow that to define him. It made him seem so much stronger than Sho ever believed himself to be and he really could see why his grandfather would relate so easily with him.
“Sakurai-sama…” His assistant said through the speaker on his desk jolting him out of his thoughts with a bump “There is a visitor for you…He says that his name is Aiba Masaki…He doesn’t have an appointment…Should I send him away…”
“Send him through…” Sho answered briskly getting up from his desk and nervously scrapping his hands through his hair managing to smile when Masaki came through the double doors looking troubled and thoughtful “Is everything okay?”
“…I want to ask your advice…You…Um…You’re good with money…And…Shu-san left me more than I could possibly use…Can I set up a home? A children’s home? For teens…To help them…?”
“I think that would be wonderful but why so suddenly?” Sho breathed honestly wondering if the other man was an angel living on earth.
“…My friend, Nino…He’s only a kid…He had to leave home and was pretty much living on the street…” Masaki sighed slowly looking troubled as Sho’s heart began to race wondering if his Nino and Masaki’s Nino were the same “He was stabbed…I want to stop that from happening to somebody else…Will you help me?”
“…I…Yes, of course, I will...”
