(MatsuMiya Chapter)

Jun eyed his watch carefully wondering if Nino had already attempted an escape yet. He was hoping that he would have the sense to make his own way back to bed when he realised how painful it would be for him to walk. The doctor that had treated him last night, Ohno Satoshi, had warned him that the stiches may pop open if he was too frantic in his movements and Jun was worried that he was going to get home and find a passed out Nino in the middle of his living room. He wanted to heat home now but there was the matter of Masaki and the arsehole to sort out first. Sho was sitting on the chair with Masaki fawning all over him and Jun was very tempted to roll his eyes hard. He hadn’t meant to attack without thinking but Masaki was his friend more than anything else and when he thought Sho was taking advantage he had seen red his mind fogging over.

“You’re going to have a nasty bruise but there shouldn’t be any lasting damage…” Masaki said hopefully as he finished fussing around over his face and Jun was almost bitter that there wouldn’t be any lasting damage. He picked up the plates of pancakes that he had made and then all but threw them onto the table between them his anger evident in his every action “You’re not having any yourself Jun-san?”

“I already ate and I have to go again soon…” He mumbled pulling out a chair and sitting down his fingers drumming on the wood. Both Masaki and Sho ate and drank in silence with Sho looking stony faced and Masaki looking troubled his eyes red again and his cheeks pale “Is something wrong, Masaki?”

“…We will be sorting out Shu-san’s funeral today…” Masaki whispered in reply and Jun sighed almost uncomfortably knowing just how much the old man had meant to his friend but not really knowing how to comfort him. Feelings had always been a little difficult for him to get a grip on and he didn’t imagine that it would be any easier now. He glanced over at Sho surprised to see a near understanding and gentle look in his eyes and Jun wondered if somehow Masaki’s gentle and obviously good nature had won even him over. It would be surprising if he had but it was Masaki after all and he seemed to thrive on surprises and the ability to make the strangest of people love and adore him.

“I see…I’m truly sorry Masaki…”  He managed and Masaki gave him a smile squeezing his fingers in return “You will let me know when…”

“Of course! Shu-san loved talking to you!” Masaki whispered before flushing again and casting a nervous look at Sho. “Sho-chan…Doesn’t like talking about his grandfather…”

“…It’s fine…I will never be able to forgive my grandfather for the way the he treated me…But the man that you knew…He was obviously different…” Sho told him with a diplomacy that Jun hadn’t been expecting and he supposed that the man had been caught up in the wonder that was Masaki. “I would like to know the man that you knew…”

“I should be going…” Jun announced getting up from the chair “I’ll come by again tomorrow but I was worried when you didn’t call me back…”

“I didn’t know I was meant to…” Masaki gasped looking shocked and surprised causing Jun to narrow his eyes again at Sho who had the decency to look scared.

“Make sure you call me tonight and if you need me…” Jun hummed looking back at Masaki who smiled and nodded “Good…Take care…”

It's not boring!! We have a big change here too!! Sho got to understand Aiba and the man he called grandfather anew! I wonder if Shu told Aiba what made him change or something like that, I'm sure that Sho will believe Aiba's words now x'3
