You are my tomorrow part 72
Mar. 9th, 2016 11:11 am“I can’t understand how the ice won’t melt…” Sho hummed after Nino had drawn a rather pathetic sketch of the ice house that he remembered from the future. He had never claimed to be an artist and if anyone had any belief that he might have their delusions would have been well and truly over by now. But he hoped that it was good enough to give them an idea of what he wanted to build at the very least. Nino sighed with mild frustration searching through the dusty corners of his brain as he desperately tried to remember what he had been taught.
“It’s the insulation and the fact that it’s colder below the ground…Have you ever been in a cave during a hot day my lord? The air is chilled…” He whispered remembering the one and only time that his parents had taken him on a holiday and forced him into going caving and canyoning with a bunch of other teens. It had actually been an amazing experience but the chill in the caves had been enough that he could still clearly remember it. Jun let out a sound that sounded like a snort before asking;
“Have you spent much time in caves, Take-kun?”
“Some my lord…I spent two weeks in a cave when I was fourteen…” Nino answered truthfully with a roll of his shoulders before turning back to Sho determined not to let the man’s attitude get to him while wishing that Ohno and Masaki hadn’t gone off to find a bunch of hardworking and trustworthy men. “The staying frozen isn’t an issue my lord, at least I don’t think so, the major issue is getting the house finished before the snow starts to thaw…”
“…Then you should leave your…Plans…And scurry back off back to the castle…” Jun snapped grabbing the paper from his hand and pushing him with a hand in the small of his back. Nino wanted to protest but it was Sho that turned to the advisor first shooting him a glare that didn’t seem to faze Jun. The scarred man merely smirked saying “Lord Ohno wishes that Take-san’s involvement in this is kept secret from even the workers…Ohno could return at any moment…”
“I will admit that in that you are right…But from my understanding of our orders Take-kun is not meant to be allowed anywhere alone…Sending him alone through a rather dense forest would not make our lord happy…”
“Then you should take him back to the castle…” Jun hissed looking grumpy that Sho was right. The general shook his head slowly gesturing with his hands as he smirked saying;
“You should…I would be of more use here when the lord and his men return…You aren’t meant for physical…”
“...I am not a babysitter I am Lord Ohno’s most trusted advisor…” Jun growled and Nino curled in on himself honestly not wanting Jun to be the one that marched him through the forest easily able to picture the things that would come out of his mouth if he did though he did want to somehow apologise for the threat that he had given. Now he knew the whole sorry story he had no desire to have it over him in any small way. “But…I suppose you are right…Follow Take…”
“Yes…Sir…”
