krystalkatzficz“I think that we should start with a prayer stretch” Nino whispered when Ohno had come back to him fully dressed. “It will help to increase flexibility in your wrist again…”
“My wrist but it is my hand that is injured…” Ohno countered and Nino gave a nod smiling as he slowly removed the bandages that had been wrapped around his wrist
“Yes but with the way the bandages have been placed it’s likely to have caused you to lose some strength…Also when it wasn’t just the skin and tissue that you almost lost but there was also a fracture in the bones in your hand...By applying light resistance as you stretch your wrist, hand and forearm…All of which would have been likely to lose strength and flexibility as the result of the fracture….” Nino hummed pleased that he could remember so much of what he had watched. People had always said that he was like a sponge soaking up all of the information that he could, ever since he was a child, desperately wanting to impress his parents. Not once had they been impressed it had always been a simple ‘That’s nice’ and ‘Well done’. Ohno on the other hand was looking at him with something very close to impressed in his eyes and it was a very good feeling, more so than his parents being impressed. “Understand?”
“Not completely…But I trust you as my healer…” Ohno announced with a small smile curving his lips causing Nino’s heart to jump against his ribs. Lightly he licked at his lips and forced himself not to blush as he savoured the smile not knowing when he would ever be able to see it again. It wasn’t something that Ohno gave out freely so he was honoured to have been witness to it at all and it took him a great deal of effort to sound professional as he whispered;
“Position your palms together with your fingers fully extended and touching each other, much like the position you would take if you are praying...” He lifted his own hands up and pressed them together slowly watching as Ohno did the same his eyes contorting with some pain as the muscles started to stretch in ways that they hadn’t been allowed for some time. “Are you okay my lord?”
“It is hurting more than I thought…”
“Then maybe you’re not ready yet…”
“No…I am…It was just unexpected…” Ohno’s breathing sounded almost shaky and Nino was truly worried that if he was already feeling like this then it would only get worse the longer the carried on but the lord managed to give another smile saying “I’m fine…Tell me what I have to do next…”
“Okay…If you’re sure my lord…” Nino hummed chewing hard on his lower lip as he once again used his own arms and body to show what he was talking about “I want you to hold your elbows up and slowly push your hands against each other…Like this…You should feel a stretch in your hands and wrists…”
“Yes…I can safely say I feel it…”
“Okay…Hold it like that while I count to five…One…Two…Three…Four…Five…And relax…” Nino breathed watching as Ohno’s hand almost collapsed down onto the tatami mat sweat already beading on his brow “More painful that you were expecting?”
“As I said…A lot more…How many more times…?”
“Ten times…three times each day...Are you sure…?”
“I’m positive…Show me again…”
