Jun smiled at his lover as the party came to a natural end and they were able to head home. He was prepared to believe that there had never been a more successful launch for a beer brand and he knew that his company were going to earn a lot more contracts from the guests which Yamato had brought with him. There was no way that anybody could doubt that his lover was good enough for the job now. His eyes moved to his tired looking lover who was using a wooden pillar to prop himself up.

“We’ll be home soon…” He told him and Nino blinked slowly giving him a weak tired smile in return nudging his hand with his before completely righting himself when Ohno and Toma came ambling over to them. The two men were looking a lot more comfortable and relaxed around each other now but he was rather surprised that Ohno was carrying a package wrapped in brown paper. “Ohno-san…”

“Matsumoto…Nino…I have a little gift for you…” Ohno smiled handing Nino the brown paper package and Nino frowned carefully sliding open the paper with trembling fingers. Jun found himself moving around shocked to see a painting coming into view. It was by the same mysterious artist that he favoured, he could tell that by the style of the leaves and petals on the flowers but he was surprised when two heads came into view as, as far as he knew, the artist never painted portraits. It was even more shocking that when the rest of the paper came off and he saw that it was him and Nino, the way that they had been in the smoking room and he looked up at the smiling Ohno “I noticed when I went to your home that you had several of my other paintings so I thought that you…”

“Your paintings?” Jun spluttered in amazement having had no idea that his favourite artist was his boss and Ohno’s face went a bright pink as he seemed to shuffle his feet leaning closer to his lover and nodding.

“…Yes…I dabble in my spare time…I shall see you both on Monday…Please take care of your face before then…” The man nodded his hand resting on his lover’s back as they wandered out of the club leaving them almost alone.

“You didn’t know? About Ohno-san?” Nino asked as he grinned at the painting and Jun shook his head his eyes going to the happy oblivious faces that were completely lost in their own little world. It must have been taken when they were in the smoking room and they were lost in their own little world. It was the first time that he had seen their love from somebody else’s point of view and he was shocked by the expression on his face. He had never been so open and relaxed around anybody before and his eyes were filled with all of the love that he felt and he could see it all reflected back at him by his beautiful lover “Is that how we look to other people? How embarrassing…You’re not exactly good for my reputation…”

“Nor you mine but I think that it’s okay…Just you and me against the rest of the world…” Jun chuckled kissing Nino’s lips as his lover’s hand came up to brush against the bruises and marks on his face. Jun sighed happily unable to believe he had wasted three years. “I love you…”

“I love you too…” Nino breathed resting his head against his chest and Jun allowed him to rest there for a moment or two before deciding that they should be heading home.
