Nino went to his room with his letter surprised at how desperate he was for information on his first and only real friend. He knew that he should go and see Kimiko but he had a feeling that the lady of the house would completely understand when he explained. He dropped down onto his bed and unfurled the paper noting that the writing was in a very old style but it was still legible and he quickly started reading his lips twitching with a smile.

“My dearest friend. I’m sorry that I am only able to give you a letter…I promise that I have come to the castle, lots of times since you came here, even this letter is being written in Sho’s office, but unfortunately I have always been refused entry…” Nino clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth wondering if Kimiko was right and that he was just being treated like a slave. He wasn’t allowed to do anything unless Ohno approved of it and he was forced to plant those flowers in freezing earth, though he was able to understand that a little more, he also wasn’t allowed to even meet with his friend even though he had been coming to the castle to see him. “Sho tells me that the lord has issued an order that nobody in the castle is allowed to mess with you and I doubt that many would be foolish enough to do that…But I should warn you to be on your guard around Matsumoto Jun…You saw how he was when we came to visit Sho that first time but…There is a story there…He…Was a former lover of mine...”

‘what?’ Nino hissed his eyes widening as his mouth dropped open, trying and failing to imagine the light hearted Aiba and the stony and terrifying Jun. It didn’t fit in his mind and nothing, not even the words printed in Aiba’s strangely beautiful and steady hand, could convince him of that truth. Pushing that thought away though he continued to read the letter hoping that it would give him some clues as to what might have happened

“As you may have guessed we did not part on good terms, he is a good man, Nino Take, no matter what it seems…Please believe me on that…” Nino let out a disbelieving snort his eyes rolling at that knowing that there was no way that he would ever be able to believe that Jun was a good man. His hands had been painful as they had gripped him and he could still feel the spittle on his face. “My only wish was that I had been able to love him as he deserved…But that is not your fault and he should not make you suffer for it…If he grows too cruel in his treatment of you say…Yellow daisies…These two words will have no meaning to you but I ask that you use them only if and when Jun grows too much for you…Please let me know how you are and how our lord is treating you…Send your message with Sho he will make sure that it arrives to me safely…I wish that I could see you but I know that that may not happen for many days yet but I know you and I know that you are here for a reason…Your friend always Aiba Masaki…”

I think Nino should be very careful in what he says. Sho loves Aiba but he is loyal to Ohno and may have orders to find out or show any messages leaving the grounds. They are at war. They know very little about this boy. If he switches his name to Nino that could throw a suspicion on him. Yellow daisies......what a wonderful word to stump him. But he should also realize why Jun hates him there. While he does not trust him he seems to have Ohnos attention and that he hates more. So either he wanted Ohno or he wanted his sister to get closer to him. Not some boy from somewhere. This could be interesting to find the true motives behind Jun Matsumoto. ........but first find a reason for Nino to help Ohno more intimately .....maybe help him to bath or join him in a sauna? That would be fun. : )

Ohhhh Machan. I miss you so much. Absent do makes heart grew fonder ne. When Nino is still living with Masaki I wasn't too bothered by it, but now I really craved for Contact for our Nino.

Now there is a chance The Lord might notice Nino is much more cheerful the past weeks from now, thanks to the exhange letters. Might he be exploding and throwing a fit and forbid Nino to even communicate or write letters to Aiba-chan? I wonder. Cause if that is what will happened, Nino would probably exploded regardless he has been afraid of him or not.
After all the frustration and tension. But Ohno would probably be shocked ne. But originally Nino only came to treat his wound anyway. So Nino can go as he please if he is ok now. After all Nino is a healer as he stated when he brought Nino there. Not a slave. Hpmhh. *pout*

Awww I was so excited for Nino to get a letter from his friend <333 I was very shocked by the revelation about Jun! Very interesting backstory. Still hope Nino gets to see Masaki soon ^^ Thanks for another lovely update!
