Hope (OhMiya's story) part 6

krystalkatzficzNino huffed, sweat beading on his brow, his arms shaking as he tried hard to lift himself up on the pulley against the bed. Even with the counterweights helping him it was proving a whole lot more challenging than he could have possibly even imagined. His legs were like a dead weight and already his arm muscles were being to ache so much that there were tears that were clinging to his cheeks. After a few attempts he dropped back down into the chair looking guiltily at Ohno who was standing in the corner of the room with a surprisingly proud expression on his face.
“There’s no need for you to look so proud…” He huffed his cheeks flooding a bright red “I can’t do it…”
“No…Not yet but you will…You are incredible, my brat…And I am allowed to be proud of you if I want…” Ohno chuckled coming close and ruffling his hair and Nino sighed slowly nodding as he held up his hands preparing himself to be picked up. Ohno smiled again kissing his nose before picking up into his arms and holding him. Nino laughed pressing kisses to his cheeks unable to believe how happy he was to have him back with him. Just two and a half days had been enough to make him realise just how much he needed and wanted Ohno to be here with him.
“Why did you stay away?” He asked noticing that Ohno hadn’t put him onto the bed yet and seemed to be content enough to hold him and sway him from side to side in a strange kind of dance. Ohno paused his movements his arms tightening around him his lips ghosting over his forehead before he answered;
“…I thought I would let you see what it would be like if I did give in to what you kept saying that you wanted…Thom suggested it…”
“I don’t like him…He’s an idiot…” Nino grumbled as Ohno started to move again swaying back and forth. The teacher gave a laugh his hand moving down to cup under his knees holding him like you would a child. “…Do you really want this to be your life? Having to take care of me…Day in and day out? I can’t even use the toilet by myself…”

“…Do you think I care?” Ohno asked sharply, he knew that that would be the most major thing that would bug Nino. His lover had never had “…I’m not going to pretend that it’s going to be easy, and I will tell you now that there will be days when I think I’m not strong enough and I know that they’ll be arguments...But no matter what I love you…”
“…I love you too, old man…” Nino sighed sounding as though he was already crying and Ohno chuckled squeezing him again before reluctantly lowering him down onto the bed and rearranging the blankets around him knowing that the nurses would come in and sort it out properly later. “Um…You haven’t told me about what happened at school…After…”
“…You don’t have to worry about that…” Ohno answered know wanting to stress him out when he was already attempting to recover. Nino looked at him sceptically for a moment but thankfully didn’t say anything else about it. He motioned to the chair and Ohno brought it closer to the bed taking his hand and linking their fingers. “Do you want me to read from the book?”
“No thanks…I don’t want to go to sleep…” Nino hummed squeezing at his fingers before offering him a weak smile “I just want to look at you…”
“…Weird little brat...But you can look if you’re so keen…”
“I thought that you really had left me…”
“Never…So tomorrow…Are you going to work with Thom so you can come home with me?”
“If you’re with me…”
