Nino was buzzing with excitement even as he was trying to pretend that everything was normal. He was in his music lesson trying to teach 25 teenagers that all were looking up at him with blank expression on their faces. He flicked his eyes to the clock on the wall

“Sensei…Is it true that you and Ohno-sensei are trying to have a baby?” One of the girls at the front, Ai, asked her voice brimming with all the excitement that Nino was trying to hide

“Yes…We are…” He answered handing out the booklet with a bright smile “Actually we’re going to the hospital today to for the scan…”

“Oh really, which one’s carrying it?” A male voice from the back shouted and Nino didn’t even need to look up to know that it would be Masuno Hotaka.

“Do you have some kind of problem?” Nino asked sharply his eyes narrowing at the orange coloured head. Even though they were allowed to get married there were still some dickheads that thought they were freaks.

“Yeah…You’re both men if either one of you can have a baby normally you shouldn’t be able to have one…” Hotaka snapped back his chair scrapping against the floor as he kicked his table

“Yeah because that ones that can have babies ‘Normally’ are doing such a bang up job…” Nino muttered roughly “Get out of my classroom…”

Hotaka stood quickly grabbing his bag he stormed out of the room muttering under his breath muttering about freaks and fags.

“Don’t listen to him sensei, you and Ohno-sensei are going to be cute parents!” Ai gushed and the rest of the class murmured in agreement causing Nino to give them all a happy grin his eyes flicking to the clock again,

“Thanks guys…There’s only 30 minutes left, how about we have ‘free study’?” He asked wondering if maybe he could go and stalk Ohno while he was teaching or something. The class agreed without much argument (no surprises there) and all started pulling out things for free study which, Nino saw, included games machines and manga. Rolling his eyes he left the classroom and walked the short distance to his husbands classroom

Ohno was sat in front of a canvas, his eyes unfocused and his hands unmoving. Today was the first scan, today he was going to see the baby for the first time and it was all going to become real to him and he wasn’t sure how much of that he was going to be able to cope with. He still hadn’t been able to tell his doubts to Nino, not wanting to see the hurt look in his face and even if he had managed to, it was too late now multiple tests had confirmed that Dee was very, 100% pregnant. Over the three months they had known her Ohno had come to realise that Dee was a wonderful person and the best woman to be carrying Nino’s baby.

She had married young, straight out of school to her childhood sweetheart who had succumbed to stomach cancer two years ago, her wife, a half English girl named Emily had always wanted to carry a child and Dee had wanted to be able to do that for her but she had no desire to raise a child so she had decided surrogacy was the best option for her. He had noticed that Dee seemed to have a lot of faith in him being one hell of a father but Ohno wasn’t positive that he could find the courage in himself to be. His father was a good father, patient, accepting, kind and loving all the qualities that he couldn’t find in himself.

The world became a blanket of black as he felt two small hot hands pressing over his eyes and then somebody dropping a kiss onto the top of his head a warm sweet smelling body pressing against his back

“Tai…Is that you?” He said barely able to keep the laugh from his voice before letting out a shout as Nino tugged at his nose.

“Who the hell in Tai?” Nino snapped hotly and Ohno really did laugh as he grabbed his husbands hand and tugged him onto his knee wrapping his arms around him and hugging him tightly “You’d better be joking Oji-chan or I’m going to be arrested for murder and your going to be a single dad…”

“I was joking, of course I was joking…There’s only one brat in my life…” Ohno mumbled pecking at his husband’s lips a few times as his hands trailed up and down his back soothingly “What are you doing here? Is it time already?”

“Nah, I’ve been too buzzed with excitement all day so I let them have a free study and I came to see my husband…” Nino grinned and Ohno smiled and thin lips pressed against the tip of his nose. “You seem to be out of it yourself, ne?” Nino asked seeing the empty canvas

“Yeah…Its just…After today it’s going to be real…”

“I know! I can’t believe it! After today we’re really going to be having a baby!” Nino gasped excitedly causing Ohno to almost flinch with guilt that he wasn’t that excited. Nino seemed to be radiating with it, it flowed from his body like a warm heat, and Ohno was frightened that he was going to be left behind. “Our own baby, Oji-chan…Our family…”

“Yeah…Our family” Ohno agreed kissing him again once more pushing away the disquiet he was feeling for the sake of the man in his arms. Nino’s head came to rest on his shoulder and Ohno hugged him tapping out an unknown beat on his back with his fingers as they both waited for the bell to ring. Nino was on his feet as soon as it did tugging Ohno behind him and they were out of the school and into Nino’s car before any of the students and Ohno was laughing at his enthusiasm all the way to the hospital. 

Dee was sitting on a low wall, wearing a pair of denim dungarees eating a crepe when they arrived, her stomach was still pretty flat but if you looked closer there was a slight bump on her midriff and Ohno couldn’t stop staring at the evidence of the baby.

“Hey guys” She said with a friendly wave as they walked over to her and Nino beamed hugging her tightly.

“Hey Dee, how have you been? Any morning sickness or pains…” The music teacher asked his hand going to her stomach in an overly familiar way as they walked to the paediatric wing but Dee laughed not seeming to care even though Ohno rolled his eyes and shook his head at his husband.

“I was sick a few times this morning but other than that I’ve been okay…” Dee answered and Ohno had to admit that he was glad she wasn’t suffering too much. There were a few raised eyebrows as they sat in the waiting room but non of the three parents seemed to notice, Nino was still busy drilling Dee for all the information that he could even though Ohno knew for a fact that his husband had call her six times that morning at least. The stares continued until they were called and went into a small light yellow room, that housed a mini tv and pristine white equipment. Dee sat on the weird, bed/chair in the middle of the room and unfastened the top of her dungarees as the nurse picked up a bottle of some yellowy gel that was smeared over the tiny bump. Nino reached out for him as a scanning device was placed to the skin and Ohno had to admit that he was staring hard at the fuzzy looking screen.

"Ah…Here we are…Here are your babies..." The nurse said with a laugh pointing at the screen.

"Babies? You mean baby" Ohno said dumbly looking at the nurse and then at the screen again trying to process

"No I mean babies plural... You're having twins" the doctor said softly with a smile obviously getting off on the stunned shock in their faces. Nino recovered first, his mouth snapping closed and his body shaking with excitement

"Twins? We're having twins?" Nino shouted excitedly looking at the monitor holding Ohno's hand tightly. The older man stared at the screen unable to believe what he was seeing there. Two blotchy grey figures in a black and grey background. They were barely humanoid but at the same time you could tell that they were babies their babies, his and Nino's (with help from Dee) "old man...?" Nino said hesitantly his voice draped with uncertainty and fear

"Sorry Kazu... I just...twins... Two babies..." Ohno blinked unable to take in what he was seeing.

"Yep two babies..." Nino nodded brushing his lips over the older man’s hand. "Our babies"

btw: There have been twins in my family as well (like my grandpa). The day my doctor tells me I'm having twins will be the day I'll drop dead from shock :p ---> understand Oh-chan ^^y

My family has twins in it too, my grandma was a twin and she had twin uncle and my mum had twins so there is a chance that I could have them xD
