krystalkatzficzSho sat on his bed with his back resting his back against the headboard and his arms watching Masaki who was writing carefully in his school book. He looked like any other student his age would while doing his homework if it wasn’t for the pained and almost blank looks at the wall and the way he would jump if there was a sudden and loud noise outside. Sho wanted to tell him to stop but he knew that Masaki needed something to distract him and this was it.
“Sho-chan?
“Yes?” Sho hummed creeping down the bed to look at him and Masaki turned with a confused pout and read out the question that he had probably been staring at for the last hour and a half;
“How does Orwell use Boxer and Clover to strengthen his message in Animal Farm? Who are Boxer and Clover?”
“What? Did I give you that question?” Sho frowned reaching over and picking up the paper in front of him before laughing as he realise that his boyfriend was looking over an exam paper that he had been meaning to set for his class of year twos. He wasn’t sure exactly how it had gotten into Masaki’s school work but it wasn’t something that he was expecting Masaki to know. “You wouldn’t know that, Masa, not unless you’ve been reading animal farm without me…”
“What is animal farm? Is it about animals?” Masaki asked looking decidedly relieved that he wasn’t supposed to know that.
“Not quite…I mean…There are animals in it…But mostly it’s an allegorical and dystopian novella written by George Orwell in England in 1945. According to Orwell himself, the book reflects events leading up to the Russian Revolution of 1917 and then on into the Stalin era in the Soviet Union using animals in place of the characters…” Sho answered surprised when Masaki gave a laugh and leaned into him his eyes closing tightly.
“I like it when you’re in teacher mode…” Masaki whispered softly and Sho chuckled his chin resting on the mass of hair for just a fraction of a moment finding himself able to believe that they were just a couple enjoying their time together…Albeit talking about the Russian revolution. “So it’s not a happy book?”
“Not at all really, definitely not something that I would suggest you read anyway…”
“Too hard?”
“No…I think you should only read beautiful things…Like Shakespeare’s sonnet 116…” Sho breathed his lips pressing into his hair as he whispered the sonnet that had been used for almost 400 years to speak of love “Let me not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments. Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds, or bends with the remover to remove: O no! It is an ever-fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken; it is the star to every wand'ring bark, whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken. Love's not time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks Within his bending sickle's compass come; love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, But bears it out even to the edge of doom: If this be error and upon me proved, I never writ, nor no man ever loved…”
“I…Don’t understand…” Masaki hummed and Sho allowed his arms to wrap around the teen holding him as tightly as he dared not wanting him to grow scared as he put on his best teacher voice again and explained the meaning gently.
“It means that real love between two people will never end or change no matter what trails it has to go through…It just gets stronger and deeper…” He hummed with a smile sighing when there was a knock on the door and the head teacher called out;
“Sakurai-sensei…Masaki-kun, your parents are here…”

Confused Masaki is cute. He probably ponder on the question so long.
