Ohno closed his door as quickly as possible without banging it when they reached Lotus Lodge. Dumping the books onto his bed he ran into the bathroom. The alarm rang loudly and Ohno yawned as he pulled himself out of the bed the rest of the house was silent and that was normal for 5am, he was always the first person up making sure that everything was running well and making sure that the staff were in and doing their jobs before for the princess before they made their way downstairs. Sometimes Ohno felt more like a butler than a teacher, but he guessed that that made sense after Aiba had told him that Sakurai had been born into a family of butlers. Ohno hummed thoughtfully as he went into the bathroom wondering if it was really possible for somebody to be born a butler. He showered quickly and then scrambled out into his bedroom pulling on the same clothes that he had worn yesterday before stepping out into the hall.
He paused by Nino’s door pressing his palm to the wood before shaking his head and marching down the corridor and almost running down the stairs stopping in shock when he saw Nino sitting in the games room dressed only in a thin blue nightdress with a yellow bathrobe wrapped around her knees. Her hair was pulled into a ponytail that flopped down one shoulder and under her eyes were shadows causing Ohno to wonder if she had been asleep at all.
“Nino…Is everything okay?” Ohno asked staying by the door trying to make it as safe as he possibly could and Nino nodded slowly her eyes only just flicking up from the game she was playing.
“Fine sensei” She answered giving him a smile before looking back at her game her thumbs working at the controls at a lightning fast pace. Ohno was almost positive that it wasn’t normal for him to get jealous of the intense stare he was giving the characters on the T.V screen. The teacher took a breath coming further into the room and standing behind the chair and watching the game for a few minutes. The character seemed to be some kind of elven warrior prince that was casting magic spells at an ugly goblin like creature. He lent over the chair bringing his face in close to Nino’s and asked
“What game is this?”
“The Ice Prince” The girl answered her voice trembling a little as she tried to shift away from him but was tripped against the arms of the chair but Ohno pretended not to notice
“What’s it about?”
“...It’s an RPG, its about a snow elf that has to save the world…With the aide of eight magic crystals…Stupid really…” She mumbled showing him the cute flush in her cheeks that Ohno had almost become obsessed with.
“If you find it fun it’s not stupid” He said truthfully and was rewarded with a breath taking smile and finally Ohno blinked and moved away quickly forcing the image of the etiquette mistress in a lime green bikini into his mind and giving a cough remembering the books that where still collecting dust in his bedroom. There hadn’t been any time that was appropriate he didn’t want any of the other girls to think that he was favouring Nino even if he was. “I’ve got you something…Wait here, okay?”
“Okay...Sensei” Nino said cocking his head with a frown as the teacher left the room again he did give a sigh of relief though glad, not for the first time that week, that the teacher had left him alone. Being around Ohno was like a sweet torture that he wasn’t sure he knew how to control anymore. So far, just to escape the feelings that were racing through his body, he had begged both Bunni and Shika for their time in the games room. Both girls had agreed without question, Bunni too focused on the manga’s that she had brought and Shika was happy reading or mooning about over the guy that she was dating. Dating that was a surprise and it had sparked images and imaginings of him and Ohno together.
Quickly Nino shrugged away those thoughts and put his focus back on the game sending an Ice crystal in between the goblins shoulder blades satisfied when it died in a heap on the side of the road in though he had used all of his MP points. He saved the game and then settled down into the chair wondering what it was that Ohno had gotten for him. He didn’t have long to wait as Ohno came hurrying back down clutching the same heavy bag from the book store
“Here…I got you these…” The teacher said holding out the bag and Nino raised eyebrow accepting the bag and groaning as the weight hit his arms. “Careful it’s heavy”
“I noticed that Sensei…Did you buy the whole shop?” Nino huffed sitting down on the chair again and resting the bag on his knees.
“No, just a few books, I thought that maybe you might…” Ohno’s words were drowned out by the small happy shout that Nino released as he slowly started pulling out the books. There were about 14 of them, all of the ones that he had wanted to buy last week but hadn’t dared. The paper felt strangely glossy under his fingertips and his heart was thumping against his chest unable to believe that Ohno had done something so nice for him he just stared up at the teacher his mouth parted in shock as he tried to read his expression.
“Sensei…You didn’t have to…” He said after a while, when the silence had become too much to bare and Ohno waved away his words with the flick of one of his graceful hands
“I know I didn’t have to Nino, they are a gift…Use them and let’s make you great on the guitar for your Grandpa, okay?” He said and Nino nodded numbly jumping out of the chair, the books falling around him in a mini cascade, and wrapped his arms around his neck hugging him tightly.
Ohno stood his shock for about half a second before bringing his arms up and returning the hug. The girl felt better in his arms than he could ever have imagined though he did admit that the feel of her breast pressing against him was weird but not a bad weird. He breathed in the soft delicate scent of her skin and hair and then without thinking about tilted her face and pressed his lips to her thin ones and tasting the fresh taste of her lips.
