Princess part 24

“Wow…Sakurai-sensei was angry ne?” Satoshi whispered against his ear as they ducked back down slowly and Nino nodded surprised and strangely happy by the man’s furious protection of his friend. Nino had always suspected that Akiyama had odd and unsavoury feelings towards Masaki, it wasn’t love like Sho…But it was something deeper and a whole lot more troubling. The man seemed to hate them just for being princesses but at the same time his pig like eyes had followed Masaki’s every movement. Nino had always put it down to his overactive imagination but now it had been almost sort of confirmed and he was angry.

“He…Protected Masaki though, ne?” He murmured in response turning around to look at Satoshi his cheeks burning a fire red when he realised that their lips and noses were almost touching. He moved back as quickly as he could his heel catching on an above ground root causing him to stumble back and cry out in pain and embarrassment as his ankle twisted in an awkward angle and his hand sliced on a sharp branch.

“Nino-chan? Are you okay…?” Satoshi unhooked his foot and helped him to his feet both crying out in surprise when Sho’s voice reached them through the window.

“Ninomiya-kun…Ohno-kun…What…What are you doing out there?” Sho asked sounding panicked and Nino looked through his tears thankful to see that Sho was alone in the classroom. His face was pinched with anger but his eyes were flashing with concern which only grew when Satoshi gasped;

“Nino-chan…He’s hurt his hand and his leg, sensei!”

“What…? Come here…” Sho hurried to the window and opened it even wider scooping him into his arms like he was a real life princess and bringing him in through the window. He held down his skirt with his good hand refusing to even look at Ohno who was scrambling in through the window after him. Sho set him onto his desk and carefully removed the heeled shoe from his foot and touched his ankle causing him to shout out in pain “Sorry, Ninomiya-chan…You’re going to have to go to the nurse…Um… What were you doing out there?”

“…Having lunch…Oh-chan and I have lunch in the bushes sometimes to stay hidden from other students…” Nino explained and Sho paled a little as he pulled out his handkerchief and wrapped it around Nino’s hand to stop the flow of blood. It wouldn’t make for much of a bandage but it would do until they got to the nurse.

“I see…And did you hear…”

“Akiyama-sensei threatening Masaki? Yes, sensei we did…” Nino answered with a smile that he had never given the teacher before “Thank-you for not giving in…Masaki would have given up being a princess if he thought that it would help you…But I don’t get it…If Akiyama likes Masaki wouldn’t he want him to keep doing it…?”

“Not if he was jealous…A lot of people like Masaki-chan…” Satoshi hummed thoughtfully and Nino had to admit that that was true. He hated the amount of people that followed Satoshi around after all. Nino was jolted out of his thoughts by Satoshi continuing with a huff “I only put up with you being a princess because I do it to! If I wasn’t a princess as well I would be too jealous to let you do it…”

“…Jeal…Jealous? Wh-Why would you…Be Jeal-ous…?”

“Cause you’re my boyfriend…” Satoshi shrugged looking like he hadn’t just dropped a bomb shell on him and for the first time ever in his life Nino fainted.
