krystalkatzficzAiba laughed loudly as he rolled down a bank encouraging the low king to do the same his laugh growing even louder when Nino tumbled down the back after him followed by a loudly honking Phoenix who was flapping his wings in a way that caused him to trip and roll down in an undignified way his baby plumage scattering on the bank behind him. It was good to be back in the Highlands again, to listen to the song of the lady on the wind and breathe in the warm sweet air. He was happy to have gone out into the world to find Nino and bring him home but this was where he belonged with his pure partner and it would be a long time before he felt the itch to leave again. Nino was grinning brightly when he reached him seemingly not noticing the twigs and dried leaves that were now clinging to his soft white hair. His beautifully golden eyes were shining with happiness, though they had been since he and the high king had come out of their tent that morning.
“Fun! Tumble! Happy-happy!” Aiba giggled taking the debris from his hair happy when Nino did the same for him. The little low king had seemed to have come alive in the Highlands and Aiba thought that it showed he was more elf than human…Even the others in the camp had noticed that his face was already a ruddier colour and his shoulders had relaxed from the tight ball they had been in. “More fun!”
“You are like a child…Um…Like a youngling…You…” Nino whispered shyly again as he pointed his finger at him and Aiba understood that he was saying that he was like a child. It was something that was said about him a lot but the truth was he saw no reason not to enjoy the good times. He was alive, healthy, home in the highlands and tonight he would be back with his love.
“Happy! No matter age!” Masaki grinned grasping the low kings hands and spinning him around a few times “Sun he shines! Home…See Sho soon! Happy! Small things big happy! Sad things, bad things…They show you happy…Um…If no bad…No good…”
“What I think Masaki is trying to say, low king, that you should try and find the joy in the little things, and that when you’re sad or hurt the happy times will help you through…” Jun hummed coming up behind them on the back of his Shire the lady Arianna sitting with her head resting against his chest. Aiba smiled at her brightly as he gave a nod slipping into elvish;
>Bad times are only there to help you enjoy the good…This is a good time!<
>Only because you will be seeing your pure partner soon…<
>Of course…But also the low king is happy…He is forgetting everything that has happened to him…< Aiba said carefully remembering the conversation that he had accidently overheard when he had been grooming Fee and Swift earlier. Jun’s face closed in on itself again anger flaring in the eyes as he growled;
>You heard us earlier?<
>Sorry…The king is right you know...<
>You and he are just the same…You are too ready to forgive and forget…<
>Wrong…The king will never forgive or forget…< Aiba snapped rather more angrily than he had before wondering how anyone would even think that Ohno would forgive something like that against his lover >but…It happened, nobody can change it…All we can do is make sure nothing like that happens again and make sure that the low king is happy…He’s had enough bad…Let’s help him enjoy the good for your sake as well as his…<

I'm really glad Nino started to look even more Elvish to the other elves cause I have hoped his impression on them would be even more greater!! :D
