Satoshi's eyes almost popped out of his head that the woman's words and Nino’s. It sounded like the little princess was about to cry and he felt something like guilt inside of him he didn’t want to make him cry but he had been so angry and jealous that he had been acting strangely for the last couple of weeks but what he had said now really had sounded like a confession but he was sure that the old woman was wrong there could be no way that Nino could care about him like that. He did though he realised that now, it was why he hadn’t been able to cope with Nino being distant from him and why he had been so angry when he had seen Aiba and Nino had been called his boyfriend.

“What…No…I mean…I…We…I…” Nino spluttered frantically before a serene smile crossed over his face as he looked in his direction and Ohno felt himself stiffening waiting for him to maybe properly deny what the old woman had said but instead he gave a muffled whisper of “I love you…”

“You…Huh?” Satoshi blinked unable to believe what he was hearing. This was probably the last thing that he ever could have expected to hear this morning and he was growing increasingly more sure that this was all a dream and that he would wake up soon back in his bed at the vicarage.

“I love you! That’s why my heart’s been so strange lately and when we were playing on the beach...” Nino was continuing to whisper like he couldn’t believe it while Satoshi thought about the beach and the way that Nino had acted. He had thought that he had hurt him by their fooling around but now that he thought about it clearly Nino had looked more embarrassed than injured with his cheeks a warm pink and his eyes wide and startled almost like a small animal being caught doing something that it shouldn’t be. Nino took a step closer to him his hand outstretched whispering a little more firmly now “…I am in love with you…”

“You…You can’t be! Why would you be?” Satoshi snapped knocking the hand away feeling almost terrified at the words love. How could somebody like Nino love him? It didn’t make any sense, he was nothing but a thief Nino needed and deserved somebody a whole lot better than he was. Somebody that could treasure and support him like he deserved not somebody who had only gotten out of prison because somebody had decided to take pity on him. It was hard thinking that way and staring at Nino like he was nothing when he recognised in his own heart that he did love and care about Nino, probably more than anyone else could but he knew that he could never have him Kenta and Julia wouldn’t like it, even if they didn’t mind him living with them they would never accept him as a partner for Nino. “You don’t love me princess…You just pity me!”

“No! No I don’t! Satoshi…I love…”

“I don’t care I don’t love you…” Satoshi lied grabbing the plant and card that he had paid for and running out of the shop as quickly as he could go not listening to the old woman or Nino shouting after him. There were painful stinging tears in his eyes but he refused to let them fall knowing that he couldn’t love Nino it wasn’t allowed.

So Ohno will be the one to deny it? I wonder what will bring about his change of mind? Will he have to save Nino to feel it? Or will he find out some other way? Great stuff! : )

Etooo but isn't the lady wanted to give Satoshi painting drawing things? Satoshi only take the flower and card.
