Your Grace part 29

It wasn’t until a week later that Jun returned to the camp having caught up with them at the base of the mountain heading for the pass. It had been easier than he had thought to get back to Draven castle but getting his hands of the people that had touched the low king against his will had been more difficult. Though once he had them tied up and placed on the Shire he had been able to hurry through the forests. He had rested only enough to make sure the Shire was healthy allowing the beast to drink and eat while he himself only had the barest of food that he had taken with him.
The camp was in much the same way that it had been when he had left with the only exception being the marked changed in the low king and high king. The low king was still shy but he was smiling with more ease as he and Ohno but up their tent. Phoenix had regained much of the feathers on his back and was sitting easily upon the young half breeds shoulder letting out he smallest hint of honks whenever Ohno’s hands strayed too close to his beloved’s face, but even that was done only in play on the feathered bodyguards part, and Jun smiled happily at the clear signs of happiness that was in both of his Kings’ faces.
>Second…You have returned?< Aiba’s voice said from behind him and Jun turned not surprised to see that the Ru’inwë was accompanied by Fee and Swift though he was surprised to see that the Dune fox had fully recovered from his dealings with the Goblins.
>Yes…With those that harmed the Low King…< Jun growled looking at the three men/boys that were tied up on the back of the Shire. They were looking terrified, bruised, and almost bloody looking with their clothing soaked in the mud that had been flicked up by the Shire’s large hooves. >The high king…He is mad with me?<
>He is very mad with you…< Ohno announced softly and Jun turned around so fast that his head almost spun surprised at the speed in which the king had come from his tent over to him. His face was almost expressionless but there was a warmth in his blue eyes that was quite clearly relief >But he is happier that you have returned to us unharmed…<
>My king I can explain…< Jun murmured but Ohno held up a graceful hand shaking his head slowly saying;
>There is no need…Aiba…<
>Yes, my king?< The Ru’inwë asked softly stepping out from behind Jun the two dune foxes mimicking their master’s movements.
>Take the prisoners to the cage and have Fee or Swift watch them…< Ohno ordered and Jun realised that he must have known where and why he had gone. He hadn’t expected Aiba to keep the secret. The young Ru’inwë would have cracked the moment Ohno had questioned him, he knew that but he was surprised that there was a cage already prepared. He had been expecting to have to argue his case with Ohno or at the very least the Low king but when he looked up at Nino the boy was just sitting on a tree stump lightly running his fingers through Phoenix’s feathers. >Jun, come with me…You must eat and rest…<
>But the punishment…<
>Will wait until you have rested and eaten…When I am satisfied that you have slept then we will hold their trail now come…< Ohno commanded softly his hand gently on his arm as he guided him to the stump where Nino was sitting his heart stalling a little when he saw that Arianna and her nanny had joined him >My beloved and his sister have been eagerly waiting your return…<
>I cannot imagine that my lady will say anything of the sort…< Jun snorted looking at the blind girl that had been the thing most in his mind during his journey and Ohno gave a rather unnerving laugh saying;
>No…I believe at around your third day missing her concern turned into anger and since then she has been coming up with increasingly painful ways to hurt you when you returned…They also can wait until you have rested…<
