krystalkatzficz“Have you come to gloat?” Thomas as looking up from the bed he was laid out on. His somewhat attractive face was still bruised from their fight while there was a deep cut in his right eyebrow “Well save it as soon as the royal goons are done holding me…I’m going to make you suffer…”
“You’re not going to do anything, Thomas…” Ohno sighed rolling his eyes as he closed the door cutting them off from the guards that were holding him in here “I have already told the papers everything and they were more interested in the fact that a member of staff was fooling around with a student…They think that you seduced me, as far as they are concerned you are a pervert and anything that you say against me…Or Nino will just go even further against you…As surprising as it may seem everyone is on my side…”
“You manipulative bastard…” Thomas spat his eyes widening in fear as his brain realised exactly what that meant. There was no name mentioned in the report but it was bound to get out that Ohno had been in a fight with a member of staff and then it wouldn’t take a genius to figure out that 1 plus 1 was 2. Nobody in their right mind would touch the pictures that he had now, everything had fallen into place as if he had planned it but it wasn’t him that was owed either the praise of the scorn but Akio and his handling of the whole thing. Even what Akio had said made it difficult for the palace to do anything but accept Nino and his choices even if meant turning away from what they knew. His father was wrong about the youngest prince he should have been the eldest but he was glad that it had worked out this way because if Nino had been the second in line for the throne there would have been no way they would have been allowed together. “The whole fucking idea was yours from start to finish…You came after me like a dog in heat…”
“…It was…I admit that…And I also admit that we had a lot of fun together but…It was just that…Fun…” Ohno sighed waving his hand around a little as he sat on the chair fixing him with a steady stare that said more than his words ever could “I thought that you understood that when we started, we were just fuck buddies…If I had known that you hadn’t…”
“…It was nothing…It was just a fuck as you say…” Thomas spat his hands clenching at his sides “And now my entire life is ruined…”
“…that I won’t take the blame for…You could have walked away…Or at the very least come after me and me alone but you didn’t you went after Nino…You wanted to hurt him and that is the only reason that I hurt you back…” Ohno growled honestly knowing that if Thomas had just sold his story about them he wouldn’t have gone along with the ‘Outing’ at least not yet, not until Nino was really sure about them and their relationship. “Nino hadn’t done anything to you…”
“…It was the only way to hurt you…Through him…”
“Probably but it was a stupid mistake…” Ohno said anger curling up inside him again though he had come here to make things right “Fortunately everything has worked out in my favour…”
“Because you had the luck of the devil…”
“Probably, but…I want to offer you something…almost all of this mess was caused by me and my mistake so…”
“What…You just going to offer me money and tell me to vanish into the back of beyond?” Thomas laughed nasally and Ohno had to admit that he had been planning on doing that but he quickly changed track shaking his head and managing to sound as if he hadn’t just made it up on the spot.
“No, I wouldn’t do that you’re a lot of things but I know that you are above that no matter what you said…” Ohno hummed glad when a surprised look filtered over the man’s face. Ohno knew that it was strange for him to make such comments but at the moment he just wanted to smooth things over so he could get on with the happy business of dating Nino, somebody that he was actually allowed to date publically since it wasn’t such a shocking thing. “So I’m offering you a job in my father’s company…You can work anywhere you want in the world…Say it and I will make it happen…”
“What’s the catch?”
“There will be a contract to sign made up officially by lawyers that says that you will never ask for anything more…Or come into contact with me or Nino again…” The contract had always been a part of the deal even when he had been planning on just throwing money at him and Thomas debated the idea for a long time rubbing his finger over a bandage that was wrapped around his hand and wrist.
“As the esteemed prince Akio has already filed for a restraining order against me on his sons behalf I think that I could easily agree to that…” Thomas laughed and Ohno wondered if he should be surprised or not. The man might be 17 years overdue with caring about his son but he seemed determined to make it up all in one go now. “But aren’t you being a little free with daddy’s company? It’s not like you’ve inherited it yet…”
“My father will agree, he might not like it but he’ll agree…” Ohno hummed realising now that Akio had shown him how to get his father to do as he wanted. He had always known that the company image was the first and only thing Shuichi cared about but now Ohno knew how to use that against him…One day he would have all of the power in the company, he could either build it up so it was something greater than it was now or he could destroy it he had been awakened to that knowledge only now. Also Akio’s control over the media was something that had inspired him more than he had ever thought it would, his father had always been able to intimidate the media into doing what he wanted but to have them eating out of the palm of his hand the way that the prince had done was something that he wanted to learn. Of course his father would wise up to the idea eventually but Ohno was pretty convinced that it would always work. “So you agree to the terms?”
“Do I have any other choice?” Thomas grumbled and Ohno nodded getting back to his feet and heading to the door before throwing back over his shoulder;
“Yes…You could be left with absolutely nothing…Just smile and be grateful…”
“You…Did you…Ever feel anything for me?” Thomas whispered and Ohno sighed honestly he hadn’t expected such a tearful whisper to come out of the man’s mouth and he knew that he deserved an honest answer.
“…Truthfully? No…You were good though…I’m sorry, Thomas…”
“And this bratty prince…You feel something for him?”
“I’m in love with him…I didn’t think that it was actually possible but I am…” Ohno cleared his throat horrified that he had admitted something so personal to a man that had been trying to ruin his and Nino’s relationship “I’ll have those papers made up for you and have somebody bring them round…Let them know the details and I’ll arrange it for you…”
“I’m never going to see you again am I?” Thomas asked once again stopping him from making the exit that he wanted to and Ohno sighed thinking about the statement. It was going to be impossible for Thomas not to see him over the next couple of days he knew that but no they would never be in a room together again.
“Not like this no…”
“Then…I’m gonna tell you that I was in love with you, you bastard…And even though I’m pissed off it wasn’t me…I’m happy that you found someone that has stopped you from acting like a robot…”
“…Thank-you…I hope that you will be happy…” Ohno sighed and left before anything else could be said. Sighing he pinched the bridge of his nose and then straightened himself out heading down to the main office needing to get permission for him and Nino to be off the grounds for their date.
