Masaki yawned rubbing his eyes as he stared out of the school window, glad that it was a free period so he could let his mind wander freely around while pretending to read his book. He had woken up in Sakurai’s apartment in the early hours of the morning and immediately panicked as he realised that he had none of his books or a uniform. The one that he had been wearing had been a crumpled mess on Sakurai’s bedroom floor and he knew that he couldn’t wear it again without people giving him strange looks or freaking out his friend. He turned from the window to look at his friend who was once again back in place at his table. There was an open book in front of him as well but his hands were tapping out a beat on the table showing exactly why he would be moving onto a music college after school. He knew that Nino had already been accepted to the prestigious college in the next town over. Masaki had panicked when he had first heard about it, thinking that it would mean him and Nino no longer being friends but now, with his relationship with Sho, he knew in his heart that they would be friends forever.
“What are you looking at?” Nino asked with a slight growl to his voice causing Masaki to flinch, positive that he was angry with him again. His mouth open and closed a few times and his Adam’s apple bobbed up and down until he caught the hint of a smile on his friend’s lips. Masaki let out a whine of his own and threw an eraser at him where it bounced gently off of his cheek and then fell to the table with a thunk. “Idiot! That hurt…”
“Yeah, I thought you were made at me again!” Masaki whined not caring that they were drawing the attention of the rest of the class. Most of them were used to their antics so they either just smiled or rolled their eyes before going back to their own things.
“Sorry, but seriously shouldn’t you be studying? Your entrance exams are soon…” Nino mumbled not looking sorry at all as he pointed to the book that Masaki was meant to be reading and Masaki knew that his friend was right. In fact there was only a week left until his entrance exam and so far it didn’t feel as if anything was sticking in his mind. “If you’re not careful I’ll tell your…” Nino paused looking around slowly before whispering “…Date…that you aren’t allowed to have one until you’ve finished it…”
“You…You wouldn’t!” Masaki hissed though he had to admit that he was happy that Nino was keeping to his word and trying to be understanding. The smirk on Nino’s lips grew wider and Masaki pouted dropping his head down onto the desk. He liked to think that Sakurai wouldn’t care but he doubted that his lover would want to date an idiot. “Fine…Um…I…Your dad…He wants to know if…You want to have dinner this weekend?”
“…Um this is so weird…” Nino groaned and Masaki had to nod, he had thought the same thing that morning when Sakurai had suggested it “…I guess…I mean…Yeah…Just don’t let dad cook…”
“I promise…”
