The Phone Call part nineteen

krystalkatzficzJun was still dazed by his own revelation when they were walking around the various clothes stores and Nino was picking out jeans and t-shirts and dumping them into his arms. He was glad that his friend didn’t insist on trying them all on like his sister would but he was surprised by Nino’s newly found enthusiasm for clothes shopping when for the past few days he had looked mutinous at the very idea of it. Jun watched the smaller man’s back as he moved through their third store of the day, his mind on the scar on the lower half wondering just how long Nino had been in love with him.
“Jun…Hey…” Nino said hitting him in the chest and jerking him out of his thoughts with a bump. He blinked a few times and attempted a smile before looking at the t-shirt that Nino was waving in front of his face. It seemed a little too big for his skinny frame and it was frankly gaudy with large bubble writing with English sentences all over it. “What do you think of this?”
“Um…It’s…” Jun frowned catching his tongue between his teeth not sure how to answer without offending his friend if he liked it. Nino gave him a wicked grin waving the t-shirt back and forth saying;
“Horrible right?”
“Yup…It’s pretty ghastly…” Jun relaxed for just a moment before having to scramble to grab a hold of the clothes as the t-shirt was thrust into his arms causing him to dislodge the clothes that were already there.
“Good I’ll get it Masaki for his birthday…I think that’s it! Come on let’s go pay and then we can go and get that crepe again…I promise that I’ll let you eat it today…” Nino turned on his heel and walked towards the counter leaving Jun to follow after him like a lap dog. He wasn’t sure what had put the spring into Nino’s step but he was glad of it and he hoped that it would last though he was sure that there was going to be another downward spike soon. Jun dumped the clothes onto the counter and watched Nino pay for them, once again slipping into his thoughts and wondering how he should proceed. He doubted very much that Nino would be ready to jump into another relationship…Jun froze a weird fuzz running throughout his body as he stiffened wondering where the hell that thought had come from. He wasn’t gay…But he was having interesting thoughts about his friend…He had never felt more at ease or comfortable in his own bed then when he was with Nino cuddling…It was better than any of the girls that he had tried to date but…There was the fact that he had never been sexually attracted to a guy “Jun? You ready?” Nino asked his hand coming up to his arm and before he was expecting it a warm heat spread all over his body and he realised that although he had never been sexually attracted to a guy before he was attracted to Nino.
“Um…Yeah…” Jun nodded numbly giving a smile and helping to gather the bags and follow him out of the shop. The more that he thought about it though the more he started to realise that since Nino had moved in they had already been acting like a couple and oddly he was fine with that. He looked at Nino who was walking beside him and smiled gently before chewing on the corner of his mouth. “…You got enough clothes now then?”
“I suppose…At least you won’t be forcing me out again any time soon…” Nino sighed dramatically giving him shifty looks and Jun stuck his tongue out at him as they headed over to the crepe shop by the beach again.
“Well…As much as I like you wearing my clothes I think the others would start to ask questions…” He shrugged trying to fond away to talk about Nino telling the others but he didn’t want to ruin the happy man that was beside him. Nino’s smile dipped a little but he gave a sigh and nodded glumly muttering;
“I guess…Go sit down and I’ll get you your crepe…Strawberry and cream again?”
“Warm toffee and banana…” Jun said his eyes scanning the menu above him and Nino nodded again turning to the server who was thankfully a woman and not the rude youth from yesterday. Jun sighed settling into the plastic chair looking out at the peaceful looking ocean. His mind should be confused, he should be feeling strange for the new emotions that he was feeling towards his friend but now that he had realised he was in love with Nino he felt calmer and happy about it though he had no idea how he was meant to convoy his feelings without Nino thinking he was just saying it for show.
“Jun…Warm toffee and banana…” Nino hummed pacing the tray of treats down before him. Jun smiled his thanks and took the sweet from the tray and taking the fork watching as Nino the same kind of one as yesterday and trying not to moan when he saw the little pink tongue darting out to capture the ice cream that was clinging delicately to his lips “We have to head back soon, ne?”
“Um…Yeah…We have filming this afternoon…” Jun agreed pulling his eyes away from Nino’s face and pointedly looking at the crepe. It tasted even better than the one yesterday but he couldn’t really enjoy it as he was constantly being reminded of Nino next to him with the waves of body heat that was seeping through their trousers. Nino let out a happy moan and pushed his plate over the table rubbing his stomach happily before drinking down his coke.
“We could just stay here…Nobody would miss us…” He sighed as he looked out over the water and Jun let out a small snort of laughter wishing that it were possible for them to stay here, at least until both of their minds were settled, but it wasn’t and he had to remind Nino that Aiba, Sakurai, and Ohno would all miss him.
“Oh yeah? So the other three wouldn’t mind if we just didn’t turn up…Come on…I’ll bring you back when we have more time off…”
“You…Really spoil me, J…” Nino giggled kicking him playfully under the table and Jun beamed happy for the laugh. He rubbed his shin lightly with his fingertips and then sighed finishing the last of his crepe and drink before getting to his feet and stretching out his back. Nino followed suit and they were soon heading back to their hotel lost in their own thoughts.
When they were on their way back to Tokyo Nino curled up in the passenger seat and fell to sleep letting out whistle like snores whenever they turned a corner or went over a bump and Jun couldn’t help but grin like an idiot whenever he heard them though he kept his eyes on the road ahead making sure they got home in one piece. By the time they made it back to the apartment there was only enough time for them to dump the bags down onto the settee and then head out again. They had tried to keep their arrivals separate but today they arrived together at the same time as Aiba who was getting out of a company car as they hurried towards the entrance. The older man smiled with a little bit of surprise in his face his head tilting to one side as he looked them over his eyes narrowing as they focused on the bottoms of their jeans asking;
“Did you two enjoy your time at the beach?”
“Huh?” They said together surprise running throughout their bodies and Masaki pointed downwards where he had been staring as he shrugged saying;
“Sand…It’s clinging to your trousers…Both your trousers…So either you went together or it was a coincidence…You two…Everything is okay, ne?”
“Everything is fine…Come on, Kazu…We better get in…” Jun said unconsciously reaching for Nino’s hand and pulling him inside.

Not only did Jun found out about Nino's love for him but he also realize his feeling to Nino ne. But yeah I think it will be hard to convince Nino that :( Nino would think Jun just takes pity on him and not really loves him :(
