Ohno smiled his hand sliding around his lover’s shoulders leading him out of the fairy glade as he called the area that held his two most precious paintings. He wished that Kazuko had acted differently but he could imagine what was going through her mind and he imagined that it was similar to the thoughts that had been going through Jun’s mind when he had found out. His eyes searched out his friend and saw that he was still standing with the princess. Jun’s eyes were haunted and Ohno wished that he could go over and take some of the burden from him but he was aware that Kazu needed him at that moment and he wasn’t going to leave him. His friend and manager looked up at him and gave him a smile and nod telling him that it was okay and he understood.

“Toshi…?”

“Yes, my fairy prince…” Ohno hummed surprised by the use of a nickname when Kazu hadn’t used one before and his lover looked up at him through partially closed eyes whispering nervously;

“Is it okay for you to ignore the princess…?”

“I told you when you first questioned me about that…” Ohno sighed as he stopped walking and turned on his heel so he was facing him his fingers coming to bob on his little cherub nose “You are more important than any royal and always will be…She’s only here tonight, you I am going to be with forever…”

“Yeah but…This is your night…Your show…You’ve worked so hard for this…You shouldn’t…” Kazu finished his speech with a little shrug and gestured helplessly to the paintings that were all around the room and Ohno was tempted to just chuckle and tell him that Jun would just be thankful that he was awake and not hiding somewhere asleep but his Kazu needed reassurance and he was more than happy to give him that, more so when everything that he was about to say was 100% true.

“And you are my lover…My show will go on happily with or without me…I’ve painted the pictures…If they sell they sell…It will happen if I’m hovering over them or not…Jun can handle…”

“But this…This has got to be torture on him…He loves Kazuko…He’s been searching for her for years…” Kazu breathed his own eyes going to Jun, who was now showing the princess and the rest of her party around the gallery talking in soft tones and looking much better than he had a few minutes ago and Ohno nodded again biting on his lip before saying;

“I know…And if I thought it would help him I would go over there and tell him to find her and talk to her but Jun doesn’t think like that…Jun needs some time to process this and he will do that by working…When he’s figured things out he will let us know…”

“This is all so confusing…” Kazu groaned and together they started walking again Ohno scanning the room for any signs of Kazuko. The bodyguard on duty calmly told him that she hadn’t left yet so that meant she was still in the building but after searching the place thoroughly they couldn’t find her. Ohno felt defeated as they turned back to go to his gallery and he was surprised when his former model stepped out of the shadows and searched his lover’s face looking as if she had seen a ghost.

“Kazunari…Your name…It is still Kazunari…?” She breathed weakly and Kazu nodded slowly seemingly unable to speak. “I…May we talk? I don’t know how much you know…but…May we?”

“Yes…”
