Trouble in paradise part twelve

krystalkatzficzMasaki sighed as he looked down at his hands it had been two days since he had called everything off with Sakurai and his heart was nowhere near close to being over it. It had confirmed what he had believed that he was a 100% in love with the older man and now he knew that he only had himself to blame that they couldn’t be together. The thing that he was finding that he missed the most was just talking to him. Sakurai was the one person in the world that seemed to be able to listen to him without looking at him as if he was completely insane or stupid. Sakurai took him seriously and it was only after he had made his assumption about him being in social care that Masaki had started to think about it seriously. It wasn’t a million miles away from what he had been doing for most of his life. He had found out what he would have to do and he had really knuckled down with his studies but now…Now he just felt lethargic and uninterested. He looked around the classroom and more importantly at the empty desk beside him.
Nino hadn’t been in school for two days, not since his break up with Sakurai, and he was growing more and more apprehensive. He had called it all off but there was a possibility that Sakurai had mentioned his name. He was sure that there were a lot of Aiba Masaki’s in Japan but there weren’t many in their little town. Closing his eyes he let out another sigh before letting his eyes fall down onto the book in front of him noticing the faint Pidgeon scratches that he had made in place of notes. It really was impossible to concentrate and he was tempted to go to the nurse for the next lesson but he suspected that Matsumoto Jun, the male school nurse would smack him around the ear for cluttering up his station again. They had a sort of friendship between them, formed in his first year when he had needed somebody to talk to and the nurse had reassured him that there was nothing wrong with him for liking men and not women…Even going so far to show him a picture of his lover, Ohno Satoshi, a local house painter…But the man also hated time wasters and Masaki knew that he would be wasting his time. He knew what was wrong with him and not even talking about it would help.
The bell rang sharply and Masaki slowly began to gather his things automatically looking at his phone as he had done so often since meeting Sakurai but of course the message screen was blank. Dumping his books and papers into his bag he shuffled out of the classroom shocked when a hand darted out and grabbed him by the collar. He turned around wildly and to his amazement found himself staring at the spectacled face of the school nurse. Jun’s eyes narrowed sharply as they searched his face before he sighed and dragged him down the corridor.
“Sensei? Where…What?” He spluttered flushing brightly when he felt curious eyes on him but Jun just held him all the more tightly and growled;
“Shut up and come with me…”
