Succubae part 49
“I’m not what?” Nino asked his question almost lost under the gasps that the other occupants in the room let out. All of their eyes turned to face him and Nino felt his cheeks colouring a little but he crushed down any embarrassment that he might have been feeling to stare at the angel.
“Fully human…You’re half angel…” Ohno shrugged as if it was the most normal thing in the world to announce and not in any way life changing. Nino swallowed down a thick and almost painful lump from the back of his throat while both Jun and Sakurai asked;
“Half…What…?”
“Angel...Your mother was an angel…” Ohno hummed his eyes dimming for a moment and Nino felt his lover tense under him but Nino found himself being captivated by the look that was in the angels eyes the blue and silver seemed to be stronger than ever “She fell in love with a mortal man and well…I thought that any angelic traits would have been pushed aside when you became the mate of a succubus…But…Well you had other ideas…”
“You told me that she had saved your life once…” Sakurai said sounding confused and Ohno perked up again his smile back in place as he nodded frantically saying;
“She had…But big sisters tend to look after their brothers she saved me more than once…”
“Brother…?” Nino repeated dully realising that what that meant and Ohno nodded with a twist of a smile on his lips “You were her brother?”
“Yup…So that means I’m your uncle…” The angel laughed as if he had delivered the punchline to a fantastic joke and couldn’t understand why nobody else thought it was funny. A bright and almost bratty look came to the angel’s eyes as he added playfully “You can call me Uncle Sato if you want…”
“I don’t…” Nino bit back and Ohno shot him a wounded look before shrugging again his smile fading when Sakurai gnashed his teeth together his hands clenching into tight lightly fists around him.
“Can you stop messing around and acting as if this is all some kind of cosmic joke and explain what the hell you mean…” He spat out and Ohno sighed again and leaned forward in his chair his fingers scrapping through his hair as he looked at them all in turn before running his tongue over his lips.
“Kazunari is my elder sister’s child…” He said eventually with a less playful tone in his voice this time “Years ago she fell in love with one of the people that she was meant to be the guardian angel of…I suppose that at some point they had sex and the result was Kazunari…Normally the children of angels and human are just human…They may have a few odd traits…People may like them a little bit more than others or they will find people will be opening to bargaining with them...It isn’t normally a problem but…I suppose that Kazunari got more angel traits…I should have supposed that he would Kazuko was always a formidable woman…When she was dying my sister made me swear an oath that I would watch over Kazunari…As she was outcast I could only fulfil my promise by becoming his guardian angel…Now…Is there any cake? I’d like cake…”
