Succubae part 46
The bell rang again just as Sakurai reached the door and he frowned his eyebrows knitting together as he puzzled over who it could be waiting for him on the other side of the door. There were a few business acquaintances in London but none of them knew where his house was or even that he was in the country. The staff that took care of this house were under strict orders to stay away for a few days while they adjusted to their lives together so it wouldn’t be them. Knowing that staring at a closed door wouldn’t help him he reached out and closed his hand around the cold brass of the door handle turning it slowly. The door swung open with ease and a gust of wind from the outdoors came rushing in along with the heavy scent of roses from the bushes on either side of the door. Low sunlight shining through the gaps in the houses opposite him blinded him for a moment but when it cleared and he could finally see he was almost shocked to see Ohno standing there dressed in a casual t-shirt and a tight pair of jeans that were ripped stylishly on the thigh. A long thin scarf was wrapped around his neck and he gave him an easy smile saluting with three fingers over his right eye as he said;
“Yo…Nice to see you again”
“You…What…Why…You?” Sakurai stammered all grace and poise leaving him as he gripped tightly to the door as if letting it go would mean him falling into a heap into the checkerboard tiles. The so called angel laughed tugging on the two strands of his scarf as he nodded briskly asking;
“Yup…Me…Hey…May I come in?”
“Um…Why are you here?” Sakurai hissed stepping to one side and allowing the sleepy faced angel to walk over the threshold nodding at him happily as he gave one of those annoying know-all shrugs that had infuriated the succubae before and was doing the same now.
“…Because you came back to England…Because you told Kazu about me…And he told others about me…Maybe it’s just ‘cause I’m bored…I’ll let you take your pick…” Ohno answered still flashing the smile as he looked around giving a whistle “Nice place…I bet this set you back…”
“Actually it was pretty reasonable when I brought it…So you’re here to talk about my home?”
“We could if you like…” Ohno laughed his eyes flashing with amusement while Sakurai growled loudly in frustration already stretched to breaking point with Jun and Nino being left alone together. The angel held up his hands in a mock submissive style and then sighed out heavily looking slightly troubled as he mumbled “…Okay…Honestly I’m here because you told Kazu about me…”
“You never said I couldn’t…”
“Because you shouldn’t have been able to…I’m Kazu’s guardian angel he’s not meant to know about me...Instead of just telling you not to tell him I make you not tell him…” Ohno mumbled dropping down onto the wooden bench that was designed to be sat on when putting on your shoes all of the smiles and laughter gone from his face now “Haven’t you ever wondered why you never told him after all these years? That was me…Whenever you felt like you wanted to tell him it would just seem unimportant and you’d just forget…But…Something went wrong…Kazu need’s me…So here I am…”
“You’re the angel…?”
