"You're improving…” Ohno smiled approvingly and Nino pulled a face through a heavy pant thinking that he was just saying that to please him. It had only been a few days after all he wasn’t going to pick it up straight away but Ohno had been relentless, telling him that if he wanted to learn then it meant that he had to take it seriously and that meant going for five mile runs every day. Since they were in Hawaii and in the hottest time that meant getting up at obscenely early hours of the day before the sun had even risen. They were normally just turning to return back to their little paradise when the first silvery strands were hitting the earth. Ohno didn’t let up then either as he had swimming and even weight training after that. The regime was tough and he really thought about quitting but the thought of what he had been like in the store kept him moving on. After that it was training and in that Ohno wasn’t pussy footing around, Nino could feel himself being pushed. He had been worried that Ohno would take it easier on him as his lover but he should have realised that Ohno wouldn’t mess around with this. “I’m not just saying that to make you feel better Kazu, there would be no point in that…”
“…I know…But…It doesn’t feel like I’ve improved…” He grumbled with a sense of almost bitterness wishing that he was like a computer character and just spend points to improve the areas that he wanted when he wanted, life would be so much simpler if they all had stats.
“Give it at least a month or two…I’m sorry baby but that’s how long it’s going to take…” Ohno chuckled when Nino gave a pout dropping down into the sun lounger. His whole body was aching and he knew that his once computer bleached skin now had a healthier colour to it along with some rather fetching looking bruises. “…Are you going to give up because it’s not happening as quickly as it does in your video games?”
“No…I…” Nino sprang to his feet trying to clear his pout when he heard the cold, almost disappointed, tone that Ohno was using flushing when he saw the smile his lover gave him. Ohno pulled on his sweaty bangs lightly and then grabbed him by the t-shirt pulling him into his body and bringing their mouths together so they were almost kissing before he whispered;
“Kazu, you are doing amazingly well…I’m very proud of you…”
“…Thank-you…” Nino was surprised at how much those husked word of praise meant to him. He could feel happiness curling its way through his body making his heart dance as his chest swelled with pride and he couldn’t think of a better reward than the one that he finally got when the lips, which had been hovering so tantalisingly close that he could feel them brushing against his, finally completed the distance and were down on his. They were warm and bitter with a mix of both of their sweat and sour from the lemons that they were sucking on every now and then in the hopes that they would help to prevent their bodies from getting too hot from the training. The last thing that he would want is heat stroke. He had it once before when they had come to the islands and it hadn’t been pretty. He relaxed into the kiss his lips parting just enough for his lover to slip his tongue inside and cause it to move around against his own. His arms came up around the solid back and he moaned his eyes closing completely as his head was tilted back to allow Ohno to get a better angle. An angle that he used to his advantage straight away by moving his tongue in deeper and claiming complete submission from him. Nino was happy to give it loving it when Ohno took control like this leaving him with nothing to do but follow his every whim.
Nino was almost certain that Ohno was going to push him down onto the sun lounger that was by their legs and make love to him out in the open. A shiver of excitement moved through his body at the very thought of it and he was deeply disappointed when he heard the unfamiliar sound of the doorbell going from inside the house. Nino moaned as Ohno stiffened pulling himself out of the kiss with an almost snarl on his lips as he glared at the house.
“I have to answer that…” He told him and Nino nodded about to pull himself away but Ohno held him to his side and pulled him into the house as the doorbell rang again. Nino sighed with happiness as the air conditioning kicked in and washed over him soothing his overheated skin. He loved this place, it was decorated in soft warm colours and tiles that were shaped into mosaics of animals and flowers with furniture that appeared to be made out of driftwood. Ohno pulled the door open and Nino found himself presented with a foreigner who was at least two foot taller than either of them and had muscles that rippled the light short sleeved shirt that he was wearing. He had dark brown hair and his skin was as a brown as a nut. He smiled at them and Ohno returned it his arm circling loosely around his waist before speaking in very soft and very broken English that Nino had no hope of understanding. He frowned and was glad when they switched over to Japanese.
“Sorry about that, Kazu…This is Thomas Hightower he owns this house…” Ohno told him gently his hand trailing up and down his spine and Nino smiled bowing as politely as he could knowing that Ohno’s business contacts were important to him and as he owned the house that they were staying in he was technically his guest. “This is my lover, Kazunari Ninomiya…”
“Nice to finally meet you, Ninomiya-san…” Thomas said in a very heavily accented voice and Nino smiled again resting against his lover as they moved away from the door going through into the living room.
“Would you like a drink?” He asked frowning as he realised that he was acting like the perfect hostess. It fit with the whole image of a yazuka. It didn’t seem like Thomas was in that kind of business but he knew from experience that looks could be deceiving.
“Yes please, coffee…”
Nino nodded and floated through the house leaving them to talk about whatever it was they had to discuss. He was wishing that he had a shower before meeting somebody like this, he knew that he must smell of sweat and whatever else was clinging to him. He made the coffees and went back surprised and embarrassed when both men turned to stare at him. There were papers scattered out on the coffee table and Ohno was grinning very much like a cat that had gotten a very tasty mouse before drinking cream.
“Thank-you, you have some paperwork to sign…” He told him as he accepted the cup of coffee. Thomas gave him a smile as well.
“I do?” Nino frowned his head cocking to one side in surprise and Ohno nodded tugging him down into his lap and pressing his lips to his neck as he purred;
“Yes, you do…You don’t remember what day it is today do you?”
“Um…Thursday?”
“Idiot…Today is our anniversary…” Ohno told him and Nino felt his heart stop in his chest blinking with surprise as his mouth dropped open. They weren’t a traditional couple in the sense that they had anniversaries and things. Sometimes they would go for a meal but it was never a big thing.
“It is?”
“Yes…So I need you to sign this…” Ohno laughed pulling the paper and the pen over to him and Nino continued to frown not understanding what was going on but he did take the pen pursing his lips as he asked;
“What is it?”
“Well it’s not exactly a mud pie…But the minute you sign that piece of paper…This house and everything in it belongs to you…” Ohno told him and Nino had to admit that the pen dropped out of his hand as he turned to look at his lover whispering;
“Me?”
“Yes you…” Ohno nodded tapping his nose before kissing his lips “Now hurry up and sign…”
