krystalkatzficzJun rolled his eyes as he watched the lovey-dovey pair that seemed to be more interested in each other than the fish that they were meant to be catching. As he was convinced now that he was Kazu’s biological father he supposed that he should be disapproving by the state that the pair had come back in. Kazu’s lips had been swollen from being kissed and his hair was in disarray. If that alone wasn’t bad enough there had been noticeable stains on their fronts of both their jeans…More noticeably Ohno’s as he was wearing a lighter shade. It was obvious to Jun what the stains were, even though he had tried not to think about, but it also seemed that neither Ohno nor Kazu had noticed them. They had both flushed and mumbled something about falling to sleep and Jun could tell that Masaki had seen it as well from the way that his eyes had lit up and the grin that had formed but thankfully he hadn’t said anything that could truly embarrass the pair.
“Is either of you hungry?” He asked the pair of love birds knowing that even if they refused he would insist that Kazu have something so that he could take another tablet. He didn’t look sick at the moment but he was determined to keep it that way.
“Um…Yeah…A little…” Kazu answered with a nod his eyes not leaving the rod and Jun watched Ohno nod as well his eyes not leaving Kazu. It was a strange scene but he was thankful that his friend seemed to be genuinely in love, like he had claimed. If he had seen something today that had gone against what Ohno had told him that night he would have cheerfully have pushed his friend over board to cool him off. Shaking his head and resting his rod against the said he made his way slowly down below decks surprised when Masaki followed him asking;
“Is there anything I can do to help?”
“…No…Its okay…” Jun started to say but Aiba was already rolling up his sleeves to his elbows and washing his hands with a burst of water from the sink.
“I’m a good chief! My dad taught me…Well all of us really! So just tell me what you want ne? Besides I don’t wanna be the third wheel…” The boy told him with a shrug and Jun almost smiled and nodded. Instead of doing that however he barked out a few orders and was truly surprised when Masaki followed them perfectly. The easy going expression changing to deeply serious as he began peeling and chopping.
“So…Do you have a girlfriend?” He asked trying to start a conversation and was instantly horrified when Masaki almost sliced his fingers off with the very sharp knife.
“No…Um…I…not…”
“Okay…So there somebody that you like?” Jun asked grapping his hand and pulling him over to the sink washing away the blood thankful that Ohno always kept a handful of bandages and Masaki smiled nervously again as he said;
“Yeah…Sakurai…Sakurai Shoko?”
“The reporter?” Jun asked remembering the rather bold woman that had been hounding him for an interview for the last week.
“Yeah…She’s beautiful…And an old friend…Of ours…But she would never like me…”
“Really?” Jun hummed thoughtfully guessing that he could convince Ohno to give the interview if he said that he was doing it for a friend of Kazu’s. “You have good taste…Hmm…I think that maybe we could give her a little boost…And then who knows you could convince her…?”
