krystalkatzficzOhno pulled the cheeky manager out of the beach house and onto the drive. His mind startlingly clear…Or at least clearer than it had been for a very long time. He still wasn't over Nino but the more that he saw him with Jun and the more that he learned about Toma made his focus shift and change until all he could see was how many times Toma had been there for him recently.
"Hey, Sato...everything okay? You've got kind of a scary face going on over there..." Toma joked weakly as they walked over to the car and Ohno nodded his mouth too dry to speak as he was well aware of the fact he could hear his heart pounding in his ears. He still had so much that he had to process and he was sure that he was going to make mistakes but he knew that they would be a whole lot easier to handle if he had Toma at his side to help him muddle his way through them.
"You...you aren't being paid to manage me?" He said cringing at the weird, almost high, pitch he was speaking in and he coughed taking a breath and gulping before trying again "you are being paid to be here?"
"Nope...it's actually pretty..." Toma laughed, an awkward little sound like he was only just realising how foolish he was being as he rested his hands on top of the car two spots of colour appearing in his cheeks "...I had a good job but Nino calls and says Ohno needs you and well here I am...I couldn't get holiday time for as long as I needed so...the only real option was to quit..."
"But...what...what would you do if...I...didn't see...?" Ohno stammered cursing himself that the words didn't make any sense but Toma must have understood him as he gave a laugh and another shrug saying;
"Then...I guess something would have turned up...I was living with you so I didn't have to pay for anything...so it's not that bad...besides its not been that long a few weeks...I still had money...don't get me wrong I'm not sitting on a gold mine but I'm okay..."
"But...what if I had kicked you out?" Ohno asked almost horrified that somebody could be that care free. Nino was a joker but he was serious when it came to money and even himself knew that he couldn't do anything without it. Toma gave another laugh and yet another annoying shrug as he answered honestly;
"It was a chance that I was willing to take...hey stop looking so worried you and I both know that if things had got really bad Nino would have insisted...he's a tight git sometimes but he wouldn't see me starve..." Ohno nodded in agreement at that sighing as he leant against the car and folded his arms across his chest "But I knew that you wouldn't because I knew that you're a nice guy...you've lost your way a few times but...I knew that you'd find it again..."
"You have more faith in me than I deserve..." Ohno mumbled his eyes closing as he gave a long shaky breath surprised when he felt a hand covering his giving it a squeeze. He opened his eyes again and found that Toma had come to stand almost directly in front of him a smile lighting the pointy but handsome face as his thumb made slow and steady circles on the back of his hand as he said;
"Why? You already have haven't you? Come on we should go get that food..."
"....Wait..." Ohno growled out grabbing the hand and holding him tightly in place his heart beating so fast he could feel it in his mouth, making him feel sick but determined. He ran his tongue over his lips for a second trying to moisten them be tugging Toma forward so their chests were pressed together and he placed a kiss onto the lips. It was clumsy he knew that and uncertain, unlike the ones that Toma had given him, but it was determined. Toma froze for just a second against him but then gave a tiny chuckle relaxing into it allowing him to guide the kiss in any way that he wanted and Ohno quickly gained more confidence his head tilting a little as he deepened the kiss by sliding his tongue inside the hot mouth and teases him into a tongue battle that left them both feeling breathless. He broke the kiss after long minutes and then pulled back to look at the manager who looked dazed but happy as he licked his lips and smiled at him asking;
"What...did that mean?"
"I'm not in love with you...not yet at least but...I think...I think that one day soon...I might...I mean...I wouldn't object to the idea of us maybe...forming a relationship..." Ohno stumbled his cheeks going a very warm bright pink as he watched the expressions of confusion and happiness filtering across the handsome face as Toma grinned wide and linked their fingers saying;
"I promise that you won't regret it..."
"I know..." Ohno's words died as his mouth was captured again by hungry lips and he moaned his eyes closing as he accepted the kisses over. He was convinced that Toma deserved better than a sad old man like him but he wasn't going to let this opportunity slip through his fingers, he wasn't going to make the same kind of mistakes again. In his hear he was sure that Nino had made a mistake forgiving him so quickly but he was glad that he had because that meant he could really move on. He gave a smile of his own as Toma pulled back from the kiss looking almost flushed and it took him a lot to remember why they were out here. "....Food...we have to go and get food..."
"Yup we do..." Toma agreed with a chuckle pulling the keys from his pocket and unlocking the car "Come on..."
They got into the car and pulled away from the house making the long drive to town in a comfortable silence that was broken only by the sound of the engine. It wasn’t until they pulled up outside of the restaurant that Ohno cursed knowing that they should have phoned ahead.
“We’re going to have to wait…” He mumbled as his hand was taken as they walked the short distance from the car to the restaurant and Toma shrugged again squeezing his hand tightly.
“That’s not so bad…Everything will be taken care of when we get back…What sort of lean meat is Nino allowed anyway? That kid of his is pretty relentless ne…” Toma whispered and Ohno couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought that his…That Nino was now being happily controlled by somebody so young. But in his heart he knew that it would work out because that’s what Nino needed somebody that would take care of him.
“Yup…He’s finally met his match…” He said sounding more depressed than he should and Toma squeezed his hand before pulling him into a tight hug his lips pressing to his cheek.
“And so have you…”
“Stop! Not here…” Ohno whined his cheeks flushing brightly as he tugged his way out of the grip unable to deny that he was actually pretty happy. They walked into the restaurant and were instantly surprised to be met by the host who was holding up a large bag that was designed to keep food warm, his eyes going from one to the other saying slowly;
“For Matsumoto-sama…”
“The kid rang?” Toma snorted as he took the bag and Ohno nodded biting at his lip to stop himself from laughing as he said;
“I guess that he didn’t trust us to not give in and buy Nino burgers…”
“Well…That was quicker than we thought…” Toma sighed with disappointment as they turned again walking back out into the night “If we drive slowly we could still miss all of the hassle…”
It was 45 minutes later that they found their way to the beach. A fire had already been lit and the other two couples were already settled onto them their puppies curled up together at the bottom of the blanket looking out over the ocean. Nino’s eyes narrowed just a little as he looked them over but he didn’t say anything just grinned and pressed into Jun’s arms. Sho looked a little pale when they sat down and his arm wrapped around Toma’s waist but even he gave a smile and a nod allowing them all to relax as they started their weird night time picnic on the beach.

Jun does act more adult than the adults do ne~ or else Ohno n Toma have to wait long to buy food and I don't think Nino like waiting so long for his burger. Hehe
