krystalkatzficzOhno was surprised at his actions as he kissed his young pure partner, he hadn’t meant to do it but seeing the cutely flushed bewitched face had caused his insides to flutter and his body had moved by itself. His tongue gently ran along the seam of Nino’s mouth tasting at his lips before he sucked the bottom one into his mouth and nibbled on it, his fingers threading through the half-bloods hair tilting his head a little to get better access to the hot mouth. He teased his tongue inside when he felt Nino relax against him deciding that he tasted sweeter than any other that he had ever kissed before. Nino’s arms hung limply for a minute but they came up gripping at his arms. Ohno smiled into the kiss running his tongue over Nino’s for a second before Phoenix honked, the sound echoing around the cave that they were in his wings fluttering around pushing them apart.
Nino’s cheeks were a cute deep bright red and his chest were rising and falling quickly his mouth open as he tried to calm down the squawking and honking bird. For a moment Ohno contemplated throwing the bird over the cliff but then he saw the reason why the bird had become so agitated the eagle from earlier had begun to circle again and Ohno could see that it was preparing to swoop at them. He grabbed Nino’s hand and pulled him into the cave away from the frantic bird of prey only just making it in time to hear that sound of its talons scratching against the rocks outside the cave.
“Sorry about that beloved…I didn’t mean to man handle you…” Ohno said looking at his pure partner in the dim light smiling when he saw that he was still flushing brightly his hand moving over the back of the honking disgruntled firebird. “And I apologise for the kiss…I was caught in the moment and your beauty…”
“My…My beauty…” Nino whispered slowly and he’s cheeks became and even deeper shade of red if it was possible looking like he didn’t believe him. Ohno chuckled crouching down and cupping his cheek his thumb running under his eye.
“Yes, your beauty…You are very beautiful my beloved and I am very lucky that you are all mine…” He told him his eyes moving over his face slowly. He knew that it had been a short space of time but he really was bewitched with his little beloved.
“…Did you…Enjoy kissing me? Was I good?” Nino asked hesitantly and Ohno nodded his thumb brushing over the boy’s wet and warm lips seeing all of his self-doubt right there in the boy’s eyes and he mentally kicked himself for rushing was should have been a treasured moment between them.
“Yes, I enjoyed it very much beloved…And you were very good…I am sorry that I did not ask you first…” Ohno said pressing himself against the wall of the cave, instantly regretting it when he felt cold slime soak into his back. A shiver ran over his body and he shuffled away moving towards Nino his hand gripping the smaller one his thumb playing with the fingertips the pads feeling rough against his.
“Why should you have to ask me?” Nino asked his eyebrows knitting together “I belong to you…”
“You don’t belong to anybody…” Ohno growled again wondering what kind of family raised his lover “You are your own person…We might be…Married but that doesn’t mean that I own you…And you don’t have to do anything that you don’t want…If you hated the kiss I would never do…”
“I didn’t hate it!” Nino cried his voice echoing around the cave startling the bird at his chest into another round of honking. “I…Um…It made me feel nice…”
“Good…Then…If I may we can kiss again sometime?” Ohno asked his face aching with the smile that he was trying to keep hidden. Delight was all he could feel more so when Nino’s head bobbed in a very tiny nod and he whispered;
“…Yes…I…Would…Like that…”
“Good…Then…” Ohno cupped the boy’s chin tilting his head back up and pressing their lips together briefly deciding that a dank cave wasn’t as nice a setting as the rainbow valley. He broke the kiss when Phoenix let out a honk which echoed through the caves he ran his thumb over the lips watching the boy smile for a minute before he shivered and Ohno remembered that they were sitting in a dank cave. “Come beloved, we should go back down the mountain before Jun sends a search party…”

Nino was dazed as they walked back through the dark cave with Ohno holding his hand their fingers once again linked tightly. Phoenix was fussing a little against his chest but if Nino was honest all he could feel was the burn of Ohno’s lips against his. This was more than he ever could have expected when they had made the climb up the mountain. With Ohno still holding his hand they squeezed through the mouth of the cave again and stepped out into the bright sunlight blinking rapidly as his eyes readjusted to the light again.
“Do you wish to climb on my back again?” Ohno asked and Nino bit his lips nodding as he looked at the steep bank. Ohno knelt down and Nino climbed aboard holding him tightly again. The trip down seemed to be shorter than the one up and it wasn’t long until they were back with the elven clan. The group had set up a small camp all sitting in a friendly circle with Arianna sitting beside Jun and Aiba looking like she was having fun as the second told her stories. The Ru’inwë was the first that noticed them but Nino guessed that it was the way that the eagle, who was hovering around the man’s head, clicked its beak a few times. Aiba started speaking rapidly in the common tongue as they approached and it wasn’t until they stopped and Jun stared at them with a smirk on his face that Nino realised that he was still on the king’s back.
Once the realisation had struck though he wiggled around frantically trying to get down, Ohno held him fast stopping him from falling until he stopped walking and allowed him to get down to the floor. Even though Ohno had been careful he still managed to trip and end up on the floor his feet in the air and his face in the dirt Phoenix honking and flapping frantically against him as they both started to struggle to get to their feet. Ohno helped him, lifting him up easily and setting back on his feet dusting him off.
“…I’m sorry…” He whispered his cheeks flushing brightly again while Ohno ruffled his hair shaking his head his fingers moving against his cheek in a very soft caress.
“It’s okay…Sit down and I will get you a drink…” He whispering and Nino nodded going to join the party heading towards his sister who pushed Jun across to make room for him.
“Did you have fun up the mountain?” Jun asked with a light teasing tone that Nino completely missed as he nodded his head frantically almost shouted;
“Yes! Satoshi showed me where rainbows came from…”
“Where rainbows…?” Arianna questioned and Nino delighted in telling her what he had seen until he gave a small sigh “It sounds so beautiful…”
“I could take you my lady…” Jun offered brightly but Arianna shook her head with a smile.
“I would see nothing…But the shape of the mountain in pale white…But my brother has given me enough so that I may dream of it…” She said causing Nino’s smile to slip away and guilt to enter him. Arianna had told him that losing her sight wasn’t his fault but that didn’t stop the guilt from clawing at his insides. He squeezed Phoenix tightly glad when Aiba nudged him with his arm and pointed to the made up bird feed.
“…Thank-you!” He said grabbing a handful of the sticky feed and holding it to Phoenix whose head bobbed frantically pecking away at the food while Ohno came back with some water. Nino flushed again as he took the offered drink his eyes focusing on the lips that had been kissing his wondering if the king would want to do it again…and if he did when it would be.
