Ohno hummed gently as he took of the humans drenched shirt and gently sponged down he fevered body, Nino had been here for two nights and this was the third time that Ohno had performed the task, he wasn’t certain about it but the vampire was sure that it made the human feel better. He washed over the stomach, cleansing and soothing the best he could stopping whenever Nino let out a moan or a soft cry. The doctor had come by immediately after Ohno had called him and reassured him that his human had a bad infection. He had given him an injection and some sweet smelling medicine that oozed out of the glass bottle on to the spoon. He had come round twice since and his last visit an hour ago he had told him that he was doing a lot better.

“Nee-cha-n…” Nino whimpered his hand waving around and Ohno caught it pressing  it to his cheek while putting his hand to his forehead

“It’s okay Nino-chan” He whispered in a soft voice and Nino relaxed settling down against the pillows “Do you want some water?”

“…Mnn…” Nino nodded his eyes staying closed his mouth opening and closing like a spoilt goldfish and Ohno allowed himself a chuckle shifting his position on the bed behind the human lifting his small body up and resting his back on his legs and taking a glass of iced water from the side he gently held it to the humans lips humming again as Nino gulped at the water.

“…No… More…” Nino whimpered pushing his hand away and Ohno smiled putting the glass back down on the “Sleep-y tim-e… -gain…”

“Okay, Nino-chan you go to sleep…” Ohno murmured surprised when Nino rolled over and hugged him tightly around his waist his hot cheek pressing against his stomach the enhanced body heat soaking through his shirt

“Feels…Nice…So cold…” Nino mumbled and Ohno put his arms around him holding him close ignoring his own body’s discomfort at the increased temperature it was getting.

“Is that nice Nino?” he asked and the human nodded giving an happy sounding sigh

“Mmm… Nice…” he answered and Ohno lightly ran his hands through his hair smiling down at the human that was using him as an anti-hot water bottle feeling the strange sensation settling itself in his chest again.

Nino opened his eyes slowly, his whole body felt as if he had been hit with a car, his throat was sore and dry and his head was light and fuzzy like it was full of cotton wool and he had the strange feeling that somebody had been here not so long ago. Pressing a hand to his aching forehead looking around the unfamiliar bedroom, startled for a moment wondering where he was. Slowly bits and pieces came to him and he remembered that he had been taken back to the warehouse and resold. In his opinion it was no great loss his last vampire master had kept him chained to bed except for twice a day so he could use the toilet. With a quick look around he found that he wasn’t chained or tied to the bed if anything the soft blue quilt had been tucked in gently and neatly around him. He thought that perhaps the door would be bolted but a glance told him that it wasn’t.

With a groan he closed his eyes trying to remember what his new ‘master’ had been like. There was a flash of an almost surprisingly gentle face and a soft spoken voice. Opening his eyes again he hesitantly got up from the bed standing up on shaky legs he moved to the window and gently opened the curtains. It was dark outside but he didn’t know if it was the same night or not but he felt a little stronger and the world was no longer swaying from side to side. He walked over the thick carpet that as soft against the soles of his feet making his footsteps silent.

He pushed the bedroom door open, and poked his head out into the hall and looked around, finding himself looking into an empty spacious corridor. Taking a deep breath he left the bedroom hoping to find a toilet, each step left him more confused and disorientated.  He had been in a lot of vampire’s houses but this was the first one that didn’t ‘feel’ like one. Brightly coloured paintings of sunrises and sunsets were hung on the lightly pastel shaded painted walls.  At the end of the corridor propped up, in the corner against the wall were dozens of fishing rods. Slowly he reached out a hand to them, touching the polished woods he jumped when they fell almost stumbling on his weak and trembling legs until a firm but gentle hand caught him around the waist.

 “I’m happy that you’re awake…” The soft voice from his memories said and Nino spun around, his mouth dropping when he saw the strange vampire from the warehouse looking at him with through slight droopy eyes that were the traditional ice blue of vampire. Nino shifted nervously under the gaze and the vampire released him continuing with “You were asleep for so long I was worried… The doctor has been to you…”

“Doctor? You fetched me a doctor?” Nino mumbled in amazement and the vampire frowned looking troubled for a moment, a line appearing on his forehead as he bent down to pick up his scattered fishing rods

“Was that wrong? You looked like you were in so much pain…” He said in an even softer voice than before “My friend told me that I should get you one… He left you some medicines…”

“Thank-you… Master” Nino murmured amazed that any vampire would do something like that for him. In his experience vampires were as heartless as they were emotionless, his previous master had gotten rid of him because he was sick he couldn’t believe that this one had gotten him a doctor.

“You don’t have to call me master… Ohno’s fine” Ohno said his lips curling into a smile and Nino blinked even more, wondering what game he was playing but no matter how much he stared into the bright blue eyes he couldn’t see anything but honesty in their depths “I guess you’re hungry... Sorry, I’m not used to human food but I got Aiba to get some...If you don’t like it you can tell me what you do like…”

“Ohno-sama…” Nino managed after he had watch the vampire babble for a while trying to understand what he was saying and he was beginning to feel like he was still trapped in his happy fuzzy dream. No real vampire would be like this when, or if, he woke up he would find himself still in the cage waiting to be sold but right now he needed the toilet and he was positive that his legs were going to give way under him. “To-Toilet…”

“This one” The vampire said pushing down a silver plated handle and kicking open a door to show his little human the bathroom including a pyramid of toilet paper beside the toilet “Aiba also said you would need toilet roll and washing things…”

“Thank-You…” The human mumbled softly walking forwards without looking at him and as soon as the door closed Ohno leant against the wall unsure what to do now. He had been okay while Nino as asleep, at the very least he had been more confident that he would be able to look after him but now the test was really going to start.

Mostly like a kid with a new puppy!
Not that he thinks of Nino as a pet, but the joy of having something to care for, you know? Something precious and cute!

Oh I love Ohno--so much. He is so sweet and caring towards Nino. i love how when Nino dropped the fishing rods---Ohno wasn't even angry--because you know with Nino's previous masters this was probably the type of thing that got him punished. Love this! Can't wait for the next! :D
