“I can’t believe that you asked me out on a date while Sho was there!” Jun growled as soon as they were alone and Nino shrugged giggling with a strained nervousness unable to believe it himself. It was completely crazy and stupid and he should have known better but Jun had agreed. Really agreed to go on a date with him and he was actually calling it a date. The guys that he normally went out with weren't ones for dating and given who he was he couldn't have a boyfriend not a proper one.

"You don’t have to…If you don’t want…” He said hoping that he hadn’t put too much strain on their fledgling relationship.

“No I want to…” Jun said quickly cutting over him his hand darting out and grabbing his hand giving it a squeeze after making sure that there was nobody else around to see. It was a legitimate fear considering that they were in a frankly busy television studio. Thankfully the hallway was clear and Jun allowed their fingers to tangle for a few minutes as they continued walking and Nino had to admit that barring Ohno it was the first time that he had held a guy’s hand and it felt pretty good. Better than good in fact and he tangled their fingers his thumb lightly stroking the back of Jun’s hand. “I really want too…Okay…I am terrified but…I want this…I…I think…No…I do…”

“I promise I won’t do anything horrible to you…” Nino smiled cutting over more of the reels of confused self-doubt feeling a little more reassured even though his heart made a few loop-de-loops inside his chest moving dangerously low to his stomach and then jumping back up again. “If you think this is going too fast…Tell me and I’ll back off…”

“…I will but…I…Want to see where this could go…” Jun said squeezing his hand again before letting it go as they turned a corner knowing that there would be both people and security cameras there. The rest if Arashi were talking with a few members from kanjani8 but Nino was too preoccupied with the fact that he and Jun had been holding hands like a pair of junior school children. It had been nice be his hand was sweating a little and he could only hope that Jun hadn't noticed. He cast a secret look at his…friend…date…thing his insides leaping with joy when he saw that Jun was giving him glances from the corner of his eyes.


All throughout the day they continued to stare glance and touch in as many accidentally on purpose ways and Nino was glad that they could put it done to fan service. It was easily the best day that he'd had it since finding out about Jun’s feelings. He still couldn't decide what they would do for their date but he wanted it to be something tangible and not just a meal at his house. All of the discreet places that he went to, to let his hair down, were out as he thought that the still hesitant Jun would be freaked out by a gay bar. There was a restaurant that he would love to take him but it was a little late to be trying to get a reservation now besides he didn't even know when Jun wanted the date. This was going to be more complicated than he thought, he decided with a sigh chewing on his lip, but he was nothing if not determined right now.

Short and sweet......do you think Jun is the type that after the date he might jump in with both feet in a desperate attempt to get"it" over with? Or do you think the guilt might keep him in check a bit longer? I think Nino is ready for anything but I don't think he's thought about how he might feel afterwards if it does turn out Jun can't continue the relationship. Looking forward to the dato. ; )
