Ohno pulled his eyes away from the page a few hours later looking down at a flawless recreation of his human Nino on the paper. With an almost smile the vampire traced a finger over the page almost smudging the mole on the chin with his thumb before dropping his fingers away when he heard a pain filled whine coming from his bedroom. He dropped the charcoal he had been using and ran into the room sitting on the bed and holding the humans hand not knowing what else to do, although he had felt useless a lot of times in his life he felt it more than ever now

“Urgnn… No more…Plea-” Nino whined his back arching writhing around in the sheets Ohno saw that the pale face and mottled skin on his neck was shimmering with tiny droplets of sweat some that had collected in a pool against his collarbone.

“Nino-chan…” The vampire murmured gently putting his hand on his forehead almost positive that he could hear a faint hiss surround the room as his cold fingers pressed against the unbelievably hot skin, smearing a black smudge of charcoal over his face as he did so. He knew next to nothing about humans and their body temperature he could tell that this was not normal. He ran his tongue over his large canine teeth looking down at the human’s face, something like horror creeping into his heart as he saw see the pain that was etched into the small rat like face wondering what kind of person would treat their… property like this. Even for a vampire it was completely inhumane with a growl in his throat he pulled his phone from his pocket and dialled his friend’s number hoping that Jun wouldn’t ask too many questions, not positive how he would be able to explain if he did.

“Ugnn… Hello?... Satos-…Hhhn…One minute…You like it like that don’t you… Ma-sak-ugn…?” Jun moaned and Ohno blushed pulling the phone away from his ear wondering why anybody would want to answer the phone while they were doing something like that. There were a few moans and grunts down the phone and the soft slapping of skin then two loud guttural moans before pants filled his ear “Sato-shi? Is everything okay?”

“Yes… But I brought a human at the warehouse…” Ohno murmured softly pressing his free hand on the humans face and neck carefully as the coldness seemed to sooth him a little

“You what!?” Jun cried and Ohno heard the squeaking of bed springs, he expected this kind of reaction from Jun who was one of the only vampire’s he knew that had an actual human lover and from all accounts they enjoyed each other even with their differences.

“I brought a human” Ohno repeated slowly as Nino let out another breathy moan and the vampire thought that his body temperature rising even more “but… I think he’s sick…”

“I’ll be right there” Jun said surprising him and before Ohno could say anything more there was a click and the phone went silent. Ohno sat on the bed allowing the phone to drop onto the bed as he placed both hands on the scolding face, his thumbs stroking the eye brows wanting to bring his temperature down.

“Hang on little Nino-chan… You have haunted my mind for so long…I want to find out why” He told him, the humans eyes opened a little his mouth opening and low breathless scream filled the room as his chest heaved up and down “Nino-chan…”

“Ka-Kari-n! Kar-in!” Was all Ohno could hear clearly amongst the babbling that was leaving the human throat and the vampire wondered who Karin was as he realised that the thudding he could hear was that of the humans heartbeat that was thudding against his ribs, it sounded like the wings of a hummingbird impossibly fast and Ohno thought that he was worried when he felt a small stirring in his own chest

“Nino-chan, you have to calm down” He whispered trying to look into his eyes to ‘trance’ him wanting to calm him down before his heart exploded or something. The moment the glazed eyes met his he held the look until the human drifted to sleep again his heart calming down as there was a knock on the door. Ohno almost glided to the door glad when he saw the beautiful features of his fellow vampire staring at him from his position leaning against the door frame. He was dressed in black jeans and a shirt that was open at the nape of his neck showing a cross pendent that had “Aiba Masaki’ engraved into the front. Ohno looked around for a minute “No, Aiba-san?”

“He’s drained” Jun shrugged with a disinterest sounding voice as he stepped inside “Where is your human?”

“In the bedroom…” Ohno said trying not to think about what Jun meant, Jun wouldn’t take more than Aiba could take. Aiba was a willing partner, he had no family Jun had rescued him from the streets when he was about 13 or 14 though nobody had any real idea of the age or his name. ‘Aiba’ had come from the old packing crate that he had been living in, though Ohno wasn’t sure where the name ‘Masaki’ had come from. Even if he couldn’t love him Jun was very addicted to Aiba’s blood and was very protective of his human. “I had to put him in a trance his heart was beating so fast…” Ohno explained as they made their way into the bedroom where Nino was still whining even though he was still fast asleep

 “Did you sleep with him or drink from him?” Jun asked after he had pulled off the cover and checked him over Ohno shook his head chewing his lip

“He could barely stand up when I brought him here… Why?” He asked wondering why Jun had even asked that, his friend knew that he barely eat anything anyway

“I thought that maybe he had been poisoned…That this was an attack on you…” Jun mumbled opening Nino’s eyes and peering at them “But if that was the case they wouldn’t have known anything about you…”

“Also nobody knew that I would buy him” Ohno mumbled looking down at Nino whose whines had lessened but the cries of ‘Karin’ had started again

“That’s true, everybody knows your disdain of the place…In all honesty I think that he just has an infection… Whoever had him before didn’t take very good care of him… They took too much blood and he couldn’t fight an illness”

“What should I do?” Ohno asked “I don’t know anything about humans…”

“He needs as much liquids as he can take in and rest…And tomorrow I suggest that you call for a human doctor…” Jun asked moving away from the bed and Ohno sat back down brushing the sweaty, sticky hair out of Nino’s face and asking

“Will he be okay?”             

“I don’t know…” Jun answered honestly, giving a shrug vanishing out of the bedroom and coming back in a minute later with a bowel of water, a torn up tea towel and another glass of water. Ohno watched as his friend dipped half the tea towel into water and then dabbed it onto Nino’s face and neck washing away the sweat and the human’s moans softer. Jun handed him the tea towel while supporting Nino’s head with his hand making him drink until the water came out in bubbles. Ohno guessed that at one point Aiba had been sick and Jun had taken care of him this way before. It didn’t take long until Nino was looking more comfortable and Jun sighed “I think if you take care of him he should be… Make sure you eat something even if it’s a blood pack…”

“I’ll go find something later...” Ohno murmured softly in a more distracted way than he normally would and Jun gave a sigh rolling his eyes and scraping his fingers through his hair and shaking his head.

“Satoshi…”

“I promise I’ll have something later… You should go the sun will be up soon…” Ohno smiled motioning to the sky through the partially open curtains and Jun gave another sigh clicking his tongue

“Fine, this is a doctor that knows about us… Contact him at 9 and he will come straight over, I’ll be back at dusk to make sure that you’re both okay” he said in a defeated sounding voice as he pulled out a card from his pocket and pressing it into his hands Ohno allowed himself a smile looking down at the card for a minute

“Thank-you for coming, Jun” he said and his friend gave a brisk nod patting his shoulder in a friendly way

“Anytime…” He said flashing his sharp teeth as he turned to leave the bedroom. Ohno would have followed him but Nino gave a more peaceful moan and by the time he looked back up his friend had gone leaving him alone with his little human

“Karin-nee-chan…I’m sorr-y…”

haha, I was just about to say this was a lot different from I remember the original being like, but it's a good thing to not have them too similar. :P I can't even remember if Junba was in the original... I think they were, but my memory is kind of crap. XD

Yeah I didn't want it to be just an updated version though it follows a similar path there's more problems for our lovers xD
They were but I didn't go into any detail about them even though I wrote them their own side story I didn't post it that has been cannibalised and mixed into this now xD
