krystalkatzficzNino looked up when the door opened expecting to see his lover but instead was surprised to see Yutsuko walking into the classroom. The girl came and stood in front of the class giving a small polite nod of the head and then said in a confident voice that reminded Nino of her sister;
“Ohno-sensei has asked me to tell you that he will be late…Hey Nino-kun!”
“Hey, Yutsuko…” He smiled back waving his hand wishing he could ask why Ohno was going to be late but he was already aware that the class were already buzzing a little most of the girls wondering why a first year was calling him Nino-kun so casually.
“Another secret girlfriend?” Yamada asked leaning into him and jerking his head at Yutsuko and Nino rolled his eyes at the spark that was in his teammate’s eyes. The boy was as horny as a dog and Nino suspected that even the vibration of a slow moving bus would set him off. If he wanted to mess with Yutsuko he wasn’t going to stop him, the girl had been train from birth to be the finest martial artist in the city, even Japan, and Nino was terrified of her knowing that if she wanted she could happily break his spine in two. She had threatened to do it once, way back when he was actually dating Masako and Nino had decided then that there was something unique in being terrified by a 10 year old.
“She’s Masako’s sister…” He mumbled eventually knowing that he had won the girl round a long time ago by taking her on her first date to her school festival when nobody else would ask her.
“What? Really? They don’t look alike!” Yamada whistled as Yutsuko came over and stood in front of his desk. She really didn’t look like Masako, she looked more like her father, but she was pretty in her own way though the bob hair style that she had made her look a little severe.
“Shouldn’t you be getting back to your class?” He asked with a huge smile on his face and Yutsuko gave a shrug.
“Yeah…But nee-chan asked me to give you this…I was going to do it during break but since I’m here” she answered and then pushed her hand into the pocket of her trousers pulling out a piece of paper and sliding it across the desk. “Seriously you baka’s should use mobile phones to send each other love notes I’m sick of being a carrier pigeon…”
“…Oh…Right…” Nino said looking down at the paper that was decorated with love hearts and colourful swirls, which were almost Masako’s style, at least judging by all the love letters that circled Jun’s bedroom, but it was a little less flowing and more hurried and he knew that she knew and was trying to help him out “Sorry about that, but you know what Masako’s like…”
“Yeah I know! She’s nuts…” Yutsuko said cheerfully while Nino nodded slipping the paper into his pocket “Well I’d better get going, see you after school, Nino!”
“Yeah…Good luck today…” Nino called after her as she strode towards the door, remembering Masako telling him that Yutsuko had some sort of interschool competition this afternoon.
“Thanks…You should come watch! If you’re not busy…”
“I’ll try and make it…” He promised with a nod knowing that this was all a part of making his relationship with Masako look real.
“Wow, captain! You’ve got this whole other life that nobody knows about…” Yamada said with another whistle “Does she have a boyfriend?”
“Her dad doesn’t allow her to date…” Nino shrugged knowing that that wasn’t strictly true. But anyone that wanted to date the Aiba sisters had to run a gauntlet of tests before they were deemed worthy. Nino had failed at the first hurdle but as their relationship only lasted as long as a summer it didn’t matter that much “He’s her coach as well…”
“…Too bad…She’s not as pretty as Masako-chan…But she’s alright…”
“I wouldn’t let Masako hear you say that…Go sit down…” Nino growled as the door opened and this time Ohno really walked in. Nino knew straight away that there was something wrong with his lover. His face was scrunched up and his eyes were blazing with an anger that nobody, not even Nino, saw very often. He strode to his desk and slammed down his hands onto the wood causing the paper, pencils, and little objects that he had collected over the years to wobble and rattle around violently before a clay figure that held his pens fell and smashed on the floor.
“Return to your desks, now…” The teacher growled his head snapping up and his eyes narrowing at Yamada who was still hovering by his desk looking nervously at him. Yamada hurried back across the room almost tripping over a chair in his haste. “I have no idea if the culprit is a member of my class, but if you are then I hope that you are satisfied…As of this afternoon I have been suspended…”
“What? No…” Nino hissed before he could stop himself his voice fading under the look that Ohno gave him.
“Yes, it’s true because of a callous lie I have been suspended…” The teacher spat looking away from him again to face the rest of the class who were all sitting to attention listening to everything that was being said “There is no truth to any of the rumours and I will say that the person that has been posting this rubbish is close to being caught and then there will be punishment not only from the school but from the police as this is not just a case of simple bullying, this is abuse…Myself, Ninomiya-kun, Kudo-sensei…” Nino gasped with surprise at the mention of Kudo his eyes going to Sakurai noticing that his whole body was tense and he was glaring at the board as if he was trying to put a hole through it with his mind “and Ninomiya-kun’s girlfriend have all been targeted by person and all of us will be taking the matter further than the school board…”
Nino bit his lip his fists clenching knowing that his lover must be really suffering to be acting this way, Ohno was normally the type to let things slide no matter how bad it seemed. There was no way that they could go to the police with this, if they did the whole truth would come out and then Ohno would be more than suspended for what they were doing. He pressed his fist into his leg the mild pain serving to release some of the pressure that was building up inside of him. Even with Ohno’s speech he knew that in most people’s minds the teacher being suspended just confirmed that the rumours were true. Some of the class were already casting them those hateful sceptical side eyed looks again. Nino didn’t care about what people said about him, it hurt yes but he was more concerned about what this could do to his lover. Ohno loved being a teacher, more than anything, and he could only think that this would ruin everything that he had worked for. How could they be so stupid and suspend him? The rumours had ben calming down and now they were just going to flare up again.
“That sucks sensei, we all know those rumours…Anyone that does are just plain thick…” Yamada shouted loudly surprising Nino out of the swirl of useless thoughts in his head. He had already told himself this over and over again but it was just a needless roller-coaster of thoughts and emotions that didn’t help anyone. He looked over at his teammate happy but surprised when he saw the angry flush that was in his friend. It was a big surprise to see the change that his friend had undergone since he had been the biggest arsehole ever when he first heard. If he wasn’t such a homophobic prick still Nino would have actually been willing to help him with Yutsuko but as it was he would never inflict him on her. “I hope that whoever it was gets what’s coming to them…”
“Yes, thank-you for that Yamada-kun…Anyway, for now please settle down…” …” Ohno said slowly recovering his temper a little as he sat down heavily in his chair. Nino’s heart ached for him though when he saw the pinched expression on his face. He wished that he could do something to help him but in his heart he knew that he wouldn’t be able to even speak to his lover on anything other than a phone for a long time.
