krystalkatzficz“Kazu! You have a face like a wet weekend!” Masako said smacking her friends arm and pulling his attention to her and was almost disappointed when all she got in response was a grunt. They were walking lazily around a shopping centre. Technically they were alone after drinks they had put the two girls on a bus home and then had left the baseball team telling them, to a round of teasing from Yamada, they wanted to be alone. They couldn’t just separate though because the rest of the team was still there even though most of them had gone to an arcade. Letting out a sigh she rolled her eyes and looked around pinpointing on the new Lolita shop that had opened about a week ago. It had started out as an internet store a few years ago but was now starting to have physical store fronts Masako didn’t some modelling for them for their in store magazine and the web page and thanks to that she received a discount card making cheaper than some of the brand shops around the area and given that that she didn’t want to spend too much on an outfit that Nino would only wear once. “Come on…”
“What? Where are we going…?”
“I have a meet and you are coming with me…” Masako answered barely noticing it when Nino wriggled around shaking his head and trying to pull away like a small child throwing a tantrum.
“I am not!”
“Jun said you had to as compensation to me…” Masako said determinedly pulling him to the shop the clicking over her heel ending as they landed on a thick expensive carpet. The smell of cotton and lace rose up and she was instantly happy to be surrounded by so many pretty clothes. There were hundreds of them all with cute designs and prints. In spite of her very sunny nature she was a more classic kind of girl when it came to her clothes and though the prints were cute she tended to stick plain colours unless it was a big display but right now a bunny-rabbit tea party print was calling out to her. She pulled her eyes away from the dress and looked at her friend who was still looking mutinous and stuck out her bottom lip and battered her eyelashes knowing that she was only girl that could get Nino that way “Please…It’ll be fun…”
“…No! I don’t care what you and my brother…”
“Come on, I worked really hard to arrange this meet we can’t miss it…If you don’t go I can’t…” She said knowing that if that was the case she would miss it, she had promised to help Nino out after all, but she would be disappointed. Nino’s face went through an array of emotions obviously thinking of all she was doing to help him and eventually he sighed loudly.
“Fine…But if you take pictures I’ll kill you…” He growled his arms folding over his chest while Masako bounced up and down on the balls of her feet her eyes already moving around the store like a hunter. She already had in mind what she wanted him to wear and her mouth was twitching with amusement at the thought of it. She and Jun would be in couple style, their outfits were already picked out and she couldn’t change that now so Nino, as they were going as a threesome, would have to be their child. She could already see him in a cute little sailor outfit with one of her white rabbits but unfortunately there wasn’t many stores that carried that style for men, leaning more towards Princes and noble gentlemen but with some calf high boots short trousers and a shirt with a ribbon around his neck he could pass easily as somebody younger. His baby face was perfect for that. “Seriously this is going to hurt my reputation even more…” Her friend grumbled half-heartedly and Masako just waved him away her eyes on the dark green short trouser styles in the back. The shade was just perfect to match the shade of Jun’s waist coat and without further ado she grabbed her friends arm and stalked over to the pieces her heart thumping happily as the image in her mind grew stronger and started to really take shape.
“This!” She almost hissed her hand moving over the soft cotton of the trousers her eyes flicking to Nino noticing that he looked completely mortified.
“No way! I am not wearing that…You can’t make me!”
“I can…And will…you owe me…With this we’ll be totally even…”
“…Everyone thinks you’re so sweet but you’re evil…” Nino growled his whole body sagging as he folded his arms over his chest and Masako beamed happily her head bouncing up and down as he looked him over trying to figure out his measurements.
“Is there something that I can help you with?” A voice asked and the pair turned to look at one of the one ladies that worked there. She didn’t seem to be much older than they were dressed in the same steampunk inspired outfit that all of the staff wore, with a neat grey wig with a bowler hat perched between two flowing pigtails. She had a friendly smile on her face and Masako recognised her as being one the women that had been there handing her outfits between pictures. It was one of the hardest shoots that she’d ever had to do but they had given her a couple of pictures to take away and in the end she’d given them to her parents and Jun keeping only one for herself.
“Ah yes, thank-you…I’m trying to figure out my friends measurements for this…” She said with a smile and the woman nodded looking Nino slowly up and down fingering the tape measure around her neck with such a look of glee on her face that Masako was sure that it would only be matched by her own glee.
“I see…Then I will take his sizes…” She said and then was immediately manhandling him while Masako stalked through the store eyeing all of the other pieces that she would need to make Nino’s outfit ‘pop’ quickly. He had to fit in with both her and Jun but as she was wearing her dream dress, one that she had saved up every spare bit of cash she had for, she wanted him to suit her the most.
“Aiba-chan…” A voice said and Masako blinked looking up from a bowtie to see Kame standing in front of her with a smile on his face “I thought that was you…Where’s the captain?”
“Over there…Getting measured…” She answered jerking with her thump over her shoulder in the direction of Nino who was still being roughly manipulated by the staff. Kame looked over and gave a laugh whistling as he hummed out;
“Wow…The captain does cosplay too?”
“It’s not cosplay…But he does it reluctantly only when I ask really nice so he’ll be like my accessory but he hates it…”She said deciding to bring up the fact that Jun would be there too easily as if it was unimportant “…I normally go with his brother! Jun-p-kun enjoys it more because we model of his photography course…”
“Must be nice having so much in common with the brother of your…Friend…”
“Boyfriend…Yup…” Masako hummed her eyes moving back to the large bow ties deciding that she wanted one but now needed to find the colour. Kame’s smile had slipped away a little and she could still feel his eyes on her for a long time before he leaned in and whispered;
“…I know you’re not his girlfriend…”
“Excuse me?” Masako gasped pulling away about to argue with him but Kame held his hands up and smiled again giving a shrug pulling out the exact shade of green that would match the trousers. Girls and a few guys were around them and Masako pursed her lips determined that she wasn’t going to lose her cool as she tilted her head to one side wondering if she could trust him or not “Explain…”
“The captain I know you’re not his girlfriend…I also know that he’s gay…I told him that it didn’t bother me…” The boy whispered leaning in again so nobody would be able to hear them “But you’re a good friend and brother for doing this…”
“I…Have no idea what you’re talking about…” Masako shrugged quickly as she became aware of the fact that more of the team were coming into the shop and looking around with frowns on their faces until Yamada shouted out;
“Hey look, if it isn’t Masako-chan!” while pointing up at the wall behind her. Masako turned slowly and blushed when she saw that there was a photo of her dressed in a sky blue dress reading while another girl in a matching green had her head in her lap listening and playing around with a flower. It was meant to be a scene from Alice in wonderland and for it she’d had to wear an uncomfortable blond wig and try not to breathe as the dress they’d given her to wear was a size too small. “Can you get that poster? If I can will you sign it…” Yamada asked and Masako flushed a deeper shade of red glad when Nino came over to her his arm snaking around her waist. Masako watched Kame’s face closely not surprised when she saw a flash of pain in his eyes.
"No you can't, even if you could do you think I'd want you to have pictures of my girlfriend?"
"Aww please...I want to say I knew her before she was famous!"
