“If I had known that it was you…I would have come up with a different plan much sooner…”
“I know…And trust me when I say that I will do all I can to help you…Not only for my reward but also because I wish to help you…"
“Thank-you, my tiger…” Ohno told him a smile, which still held no joy within it, on his face as he tilted his face up and kissed him again sucking his lips into his mouth and taking them between his teeth and grazing it slowly back and forth. Nino kissed back as well as he could his body surrendering to the will of the other man allowing him to do pretty much as he pleased with his mouth until they stopped both aware that they needed to at least tempt some sleep tonight. “I am glad that you will be at my side when I ride through the gates of the palace of my father tomorrow…”
“And I am happy that I will be with you...” Nino replied honestly glad that he would be helpful to the prince that would soon be emperor.
“Such a difference a few days make my tiger, you are more like a kitten within my arms now…” the prince laughed causing Nino to join in rubbing his face against him much like a cat would before speaking again;
“As you said I am only a tiger in defence of my cubs…I trust you…”
“…I am honoured by your trust though I worry that I may yet not live up to it…”
“You will…I am sure of that…” Nino smiled nuzzling into him again his eyes closing as Ohno gave another smaller laugh squeezing him tightly.
The assassin was almost asleep when he felt something, a presence in the room, and he opened his eyes again quickly his whole body tensing as his hand went to his hair. He could tell that Ohno was also awake and they looked at each other for a minute before he gave a nod. He lifted himself up onto one arm and then threw a needle in the direction he felt the shape satisfied when he heard a low grunt as Ohno grabbed his hamidashi unsheathing it quickly standing up and motioning for Nino to stay down.
"Which lord sent you?" The prince asked looking remarkably calm for somebody that was nude and Nino was glad that he had just used a numbing poison knowing that Ohno would want answers. It was obvious that it would be the order of the emperor but if they could find out which lord it was then it was one less that Ohno would trust in the palace tomorrow. It was a vein hope but Nino knew that the prince would give the assassin that chance for redemption he was that kind of person.
"I will not tell, I...I will die first..." The woman gasped and Nino frowned lighting the lamp and peering at her. The woman was obviously a poisoner, the stains on her hands indicated that much but the unhealthy colour around her lips and eyes indicated that she wasn't a very skilled one and indeed she was dying from the poisons that she took inside her. He rose gracefully from the bed and pulled on a robe before taking Ohno's to him and placing it gently around his shoulders. After making sure Ohno was covered he knelt down and held the woman…No girl, he decided quickly when he got a better look in fact there was a chance that would be younger even than his boy, he held her face between his fingers tilting it around to get a better look sickened by the bruised and bloody hums and the veins that were actually sticking out around her eyes and lips.
"Your master is a very cruel man, even my own would not have..." He whispered dropping his hand away not surprised when she spat at him trying to struggle away growling out an angry offended hiss;
"Speak...not about him..."
"Child, you are already near death...in fact you are so close to it that you must be congratulated in making it this far..." Nino said surprised when she fought his needle enough to raise herself to raise herself and whisper;
"You lie...I am the poisoned spider..."
"Oh dear I fear that maybe my poison has gone to your head...” Nino chuckled mirthlessly, hating that somebody so you would proudly try to take on his legend so causally “You are not the poisoned spider, she would not have attempted a clumsy attempt like yours…I may not be as skilled as the fabled poison spider and although you are dying there is much that I can do to prolong your life and further your pain if you do not answer..."
"Kill me…I will…Not answer…” The young assassin hissed again her voice trembling “I…Cannot…”
"Child...” Nino whispered putting a finger to her lips to quieten her down “Do not test me…I promise you that if you tell me your lord and I will ease the burn, the fire that is with your veins...if you answer I will grant you peace...if you do not then the pain will more than you can bear..."
