Sho growled with feeling as he hugged the trunk of the tree refusing to look down unable to believe that Masaki had been serious about making him climb to the top of the castle. Any and all credibility that he had with the kids had gone and he knew it from the way that they were half laughing at him while half offering him encouragement. Masaki was ahead of him hanging like a spider from one of the rope climbing frames.
“Come on Sho-chan! You can do it! It’s not that high!” He said with a bright as button laugh pulling himself up even higher. Sho was glad that this part of the castle had been locked, sealed away from the children until they were older, it was too high and too terrifying. “…If you follow me…I’ll let you give me a kiss…” Masaki whispered against his ear in the same kind of husky purr that he used as a teenager and Sho had to admit that his heart rate increased. He turned slowly and looked into the shyly smiling face of his boyfriend and let out a low growl gripping the branches a little more firmly and pulled himself up almost whimpering as a gust of wind rocked the tree from side to side. “Come on Sho-chan” the younger man said again and then moved up to another level.
Little by little Sho followed him up the levels of the castle only the thought of being able to kiss Masaki keeping him going. He refused to look down even when the children called to him his eyes fixed on Masaki’s very pretty bum that he thought looked a little like a ripe peach in the comfortable walking trousers he was wearing. Finally to his, and Masaki’s, amazement the were standing at the very top of the castle only a thin piece of ply board keeping him from falling down to the ground. Masaki laughed and hugged him tightly jumping up and down his lips pressing to his sweaty neck.
“Masa…Please…Stop jumping!” Sho begged as the ply board rocked with surprising strength Masaki let out a giggle and pulled away just a little saying proudly;
“But you did it! All this way up!”
“Yeah…And now I’ve get down…Somehow…” Sho whispered nausea forming at the thought and Masaki’s eyes flashed in a way that suggested that he had a plan that Sho was going to regret and sure enough Masaki walked over to the far side of the platform and pulled back a cover to reveal the start of something that Sho had only seen in his nightmares.
“There’s a slide! Don’t worry it’s all perfectly safe! I go on it all the time!” Masaki said and Sho took a breath his knees about to give out.
“How the hell did you build all this?” He hissed and Masaki laughed patting his shoulder and answering;
“Contractors for a lot of it, Takei had it all made up and all we had to do was attach it…We wanted it to be something that we could all have fun with…And it’s all legal, this is on private land…Takei’s…”
“He was a wealthy man…” Sho mused wondering why he had never met the man, if he had lived here all of his life Sho couldn’t believe that his parents hadn’t imposed themselves on him.
“He had horded a lot over his life…He spent most of it while he was still alive though…He left me the farmhouse and this part of the forest…” Masaki’s voice trailed off and caught in his throat. Sho was positive that his boyfriend was two seconds away from crying.
“You must have meant a lot to him…” Sho whispered grabbing his hand and squeezing it tightly and Masaki gave a strangled sounding laugh while nodding and answering;
“I liked him…He was grumpy but like Sho-chan he had a good heart…”
“I just think you bring that out of us grumpy people people…” Sho grinned getting over his nerves to take a step closer to the slide almost regretting it when the tree started to sway. “Urgh! I can’t believe that I let you talk me up here!”
“Well the only way is down…” Masaki giggled pecking him on the lips before darting away and going down the slide with a flash of light brown hair. Sho watched him go his lips tingling from the kiss as he tried to physic himself to go down the slide that was in front of him. There was a shout and then the sound of clapping proving that Masaki had made it down
“Papa! Come on papa!” The twins and Katrina shouted and Sho swore loudly diving to the slide and going down. The air rushed around him for a few moments and he let out a long string of obscenities his eyes firmly closed as his bum slid down the warm slid that curved and circled around the tree until at last he found himself bumping over the dirt with three little bodies thrown over his shaking one. “You did it!”
“Congratulations…Sho-chan…Going to be sick?” Masaki teased with a bright grin swooping down and giving him another, slightly longer, kiss his arms wrapping around him and squeezing him tightly. “You were very brave!”
Sho preened deciding that he was going to enjoy the attention, feeling like a hero rather than coward who was afraid of a child’s tree house. Feeling bold he grabbed Masaki again and pulled back into a kiss. His tongue plunged inside the hot mouth and after a half second of hesitation Masaki allowed him in and they began a slow and steady tongue dance forgetting that they weren’t alone.
“They’re kissing again…” Jun giggled needlessly looking very happy about that fact as he hugged his stomach and pressed his face in the rim of the glasses bruising him just a little. Sho gave a laugh and ruffled his hair grinning at Masaki who was looking flushed, uncertain but happy his tongue moving over his lips. “Come on, Ko, Kat let’s leave them to be gross…”
“It’s not gross! It’s cute, ne, Kitty-Kat?” Shoko said nudging Katrina who laughed shyly only to stiffen just a little bit a few minutes later when Shoko continued teasing her twin “You’re just jealous because you’ll never be able to kiss uncle Nino…”
“That’s…That’s not true! I don’t want to kiss Nino…” Jun denied with a growl his cheeks going a bright red and Shoko gave a laugh jumping away from him as wiggling around her tongue out and her hands in her ears as she sang loudly;
“Yes you do…You love him, you want to kiss him, and you want to marry him…”
“Ko…Stop teasing your brother…” Masaki snorted rolling his eyes and Sho could sense that it was something that had been established for a long time. He had been able to see that his son had a crush on the bratty guy straight away and he found it just as amusing though at the moment he was focused on the stricken look that was on his nieces face. She looked like she wasn’t sure if she wanted to laugh, cry or scream and Sho didn’t know what to do to help. Shoko didn’t seem willing to stop teasing Jun though and a few minutes later Jun’s hand was brought down against her cheek and then he was storming away up the castle. “Shoko…Jun…” Masaki said looking torn between the twins and Sho patted his shoulder and automatically followed the boy back up the tree leaving Masaki to deal with the girl.
Thankfully Jun hadn’t gone too far up and was just sitting against the edge looking down at Masaki, Shoko and Katrina. The boy looked up at him and gulped turning away from him and mumbling;
“I’m sorry I hit Shoko…But she wouldn’t stop teasing my…I…Nino…I don’t want to kiss him…I…”
“I believe you I don’t want to kiss him either…” Sho muttered walking slowly over and then thankfully sitting down and hanging his feet over the edge, glad that the wind wasn’t as strong down here. Jun gave a little lopsided smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes and then sighed leaning against the bar saying;
“Even…Even if I did want to kiss him…He’s got Uncle Oh-chan…And I’m just a kid…”
“Yeah…Ohno-san seems very nice…” Sho agreed regretting it when Jun gave a bark of laughter that almost sounded like a sob.
“He’s brilliant...” Jun breathed and Sho was surprised that tears came into his son’s eyes and he smiled wrapping an arm around his shoulders hugging him into his body kissing the top of his head just hugging him while he cried not knowing what else to do.

“Yeah…Ohno-san seems very nice…” Sho agreed regretting it when Jun gave a bark of laughter that almost sounded like a sob.
“He’s brilliant...” Jun breathed and Sho was surprised that tears came into his son’s eyes and he smiled wrapping an arm around his shoulders hugging him into his body kissing the top of his head just hugging him while he cried not knowing what else to do.

Shoko really shouldn't joke with his feelings, and for Katrina... She'll get over it.
My advice would be of making Jun confess. I bet Nino would be the best to settle this and he would also feel really grateful, loooool!!

Poor Jun. Childhood crushes are always hard especially in his case, where Nino is an adult, happily married n pregnant. But I'm sure he'll be ok.
