"Sho-chan! Sho-chan, dinner time!" Sakurai-Aiba Masaki shouted up the staircase to his husband and former teacher. The apartment was filled with the scent of roast beef and wood from the open fire in the grate. "Sho-chan!"

"Okay, Ma-Ma..." Sho shouted back sounding like he was in the bathroom and Aiba hummed softly swaying from side to side the bubbly feeling in his stomach growing as he looked at the photo of him and Sho on their wedding day. It really had been the first of the happiest days of his life. Every day with Sho was like a dream, they had arguments and fights, there were tears and tantrums but with all that there was so much love that he thought his heart was going to burst with happiness. He had fallen in love with his literacy teacher from the very first moment he had seen him and he knew that Sho had liked him too but he refused to do anything about it. They had had private lessons for most of the days but all they had done was study though the older man had promised that when he graduated they would date. Aiba hadn’t believed him but it had been a nice promise that had kept him studying even though the words wiggled and jumped around the page like they were dancing. Somehow with a lot of help from his teacher and his best friend Ninomiya Kazunari he had managed to pass his exams and had even gotten into college to study child development. A year later he had gotten his man. Aiba laughed happily looking down at the white gold ring that was around his finger. The happy buzz collected in his stomach and then he sighed with frustration when he had realised that there was still no sign of his husband. He stamped his foot against the bottom step and started shouting again;

“Sho-chan! Dinner!”

"I'm on my way down!" Sho called back sounding closer now and Aiba gave a happy nod.

"Alright..." He said in return his smile lighting up his face as he turned on his heel and walked into the dining room where he had set out their meal. He had tried to make it look as nice as possible as there was an important question that he wanted to ask his husband.
He wanted a baby, a little person that he could love and care for. He wasn't sure about Sho's view on that though and he was nervous about bringing it up. Sho wasn't a cruel man but a child would be a big commitment and he knew that Sho was very busy. He sat down in his chair and played around with a napkin that had their names hand stitched into each corner. They had been a wedding gift from his grandparents, though it had been more than a simple gift, it had been a sign that they had accepted them. He looked up as he heard a noise and his heart jumped and skipped around inside his chest when he saw his husband staring down at him with a mixture of love, amusement and complete devotion in his eyes.

“Hey, Masaki…”

“Hey, Sensei…You’re late!” Aiba babbled a little his cheeks going a deep and bright red, Sho hated it when he called him sensei, he said it always made him feel like a pervert. “Sorry…Sho-chan…”

“Force of habit, ne?” Sho laughed coming over and kissing the top of his head his arms wrapping around his shoulders, “Wow…This looks good…”

“I made your favourites!” Aiba smiled loving the warmth that was wrapped around him “Come on let’s eat!”

*~*~*~*~*

Sho laughed looking at his young husband as he made his way around the table to sit in his chair. It really did look amazing and like Aiba had said he had made all of his favourites, with a hum he picked up his fork and held it his eyes narrowing at the younger man that was staring at him, he knew that Aiba wanted to ask him something. He could read his husband better than anyone else on not that it was particularly hard, Aiba had a very open and expressive face. It was something that he loved while at the same it completely frustrated him many people fell for that expression it was one of the reasons he had asked him to marry him only a week after their first date he wanted to be sure that everyone knew that he was taken.

“What’s up Ma-Ma?” He asked when it became obvious that Aiba was more interested in chewing his own bottom lip and tongue then in the food that was in front of him. Aiba blinked looking both surprised and embarrassed as he gave a forced sounding giggle and picked his own knife and fork cutting at the meat on the plate "I'm not going to fall for that...tell me or I'm going to be too worried to eat the amazing meal that you made me..."

"Sho-Chan...I wa-...no you'll think I'm being stupid!" Aiba sighed looking miserable as he played around with his food and Sho shook his head. If there was one thing Sho hated about his husband it was his insistence that everything he did or said was stupid. It was something that came from being dyslexic and constantly being told that he was. Sho sighed and reached across the table and took Aiba’s hand squeezing the fingers and stroking his ring with his thumb.

"I would never think that you're stupid, Masaki, it isn’t possible...so tell me..." He said and Aiba’s fingers tightened on his for a moment before he looked up and smiled nervously his head tilting to one side,

"Okay…Um…I want to have a baby, Sho-chan..." He said and was almost immediately chewing on his lips again. Sho had to admit that he was stunned, of all of the things that he had been imagining that hadn’t even ranked on his list. He had never thought much about kids, he’d known from an early age that he was gay and he’d never thought that he would find somebody interesting enough to want to be around them for long. Aiba had been a surprise but life with him was never dull and, maybe because of Aiba’s work in a playgroup he could imagine him with a child. The image of Aiba standing with their son or daughter in his arms came to his mind and settled there causing him to let out a happy laugh that Aiba took the wrong way as he quickly gave a shout his head flopping down onto the table with a loud bang that had to be painful "See I knew you would think it was stupid…”

“Hey, what have I told you about trying to read my mind?” Sho asked getting up and walking back around the table to pull his husband into a tight hug raining kisses down onto his face. "I think it’s a brilliant idea…you'll make a fantastic daddy..."

“Really?” Aiba asked doubtfully looking up at him with a raised eyebrow and Sho nodded kissing the very tip of his nose as he ran over his lips with his thumb as he stared into the gorgeous brown eyes. He would never be able express how much he loved the man that was in his arms, he still didn’t know who to thank for making it possible. He gave a nod and pecked at his lips before saying;

“Really…It’s not like we don’t have room for a baby…”

*~*~*~*~*
Aiba stared into Sho’s face for a long time before realising that he was actually telling him the truth. A grin started and then he let out a scream jumping up from the chair and throwing his arms around his neck holding him tightly continuing to bounce up and down as he gasped,

“Yes! Thank-you! Thank-you! I was so worried that you wouldn’t agree…” Sho chuckled against his ear his hand moving up and down his back tickling him a little. Aiba squirmed around in the strong arms laughing loudly his heart pounding happily. He pulled away and held Sho’s cheeks looking into his eyes “Thank-you, do you know how much I love you?”

“Yes…” Sho answered tracing the line of moles on his cheek, Aiba smiled and leaned forward about to kiss him before he gave a gasp and pulled away shouting;

“I have to tell Nino…”

“Nino is still on his honeymoon…” Sho reminded him grabbing his hand and tugging him back against his chest “You can tell him tomorrow…If you can’t wait for a week until he gets back…For now…Eat your dinner and then we can go upstairs and practice making babies…”

“We can’t make babies…” Aiba whispered his cheeks flushing hotly when Sho laughed and whispered in his ear his hands moving under his shirt and stroking his stomach as he replied;

“No…But we can have fun trying…”

“Perve…” Aiba laughed his stomach churning with a mix of desire and love and he tilted his face to look at Sho who was grinning while he purred;

“You love it…”

This is soooo cute!!! Sakuraiba as parents is perfect! They really love each other, ne? :D
LOL at Sho's comment about making babies. Does this mean sexy times ahead? I hope so!
Aiba is as cheerful and energetic as always. I liked his reaction when he thought Sho was laughing at him, haha
Will there be flashbacks? I would love to read about how they first met in school etc
For some reason, I picture Sho as Yoshimoto sensei in Kazoku Game....not the psycho tutor, but how he was before everything changed- the kind and friendly school teacher, in his smart grey suit and adorable bangs :) he was so cute and hot then
Thank you sooooo much for writing this! I'm looking forward to reading more! And Honeymoon! :D
