krystalkatzficzJun stared down at the sleeping face, he was acutely aware that the sun would be setting soon and Nino needed the blood but also thinking how cute he looked as he slept. The female human had been and gone stating his hunger and quickly taking away the effects of not eating and Jun was filled with a sense of self-loathing he’d never had before though most of the anger inside him was directed firmly where it belonged on the shoulders of the vampire that had tried to steal his mate. Getting up from the bed he crossed to the table and picked up the silver edged knife and sliced at his wrist clenching his hand a little to help the blood to flow into the pint sized goblet. Once he finished he went back to the bed and sat down shaking Nino’s shoulder.
“Nino...Nino it’s time to wake up...” He whispered and slowly with a moan Nino’s eyes opened. They were almost as glazed over as they had been at the party but thankfully after a few blinks they cleared and his mate gave him a sleepy smile his hand coming up to touch his face.
“I was dreaming about you...” Nino purred and Jun smiled helping him sit up with a hand on his back as he murmured,
“Oh...”
“You were making love to me on your throne...” Nino said grinning wickedly and Jun felt his cock rubbing against the fabric of his trousers. “Can we try that one day J?”
“I think I would be very agreeable to that...” Jun murmured kissing his lips slowly before pulling away and handing him the goblet “But for now you should drink that...”
Nino took the goblet with one hand and eagerly brought it to his lips staring at him over the rim his eyes taking in his face and Jun knew that he was seeing the truth there.
“You fed...” His human mumble and Jun nodded fighting a gulp that would have made his Adam’s apple bob frantically
“Yes...”
“But not from me...”
“It wasn’t by choice...I would love to drink from you but I can’t” Jun answered “I can’t drink from you, not until the treatment has been done...”
“Why?” Nino pouted around the goblet and Jun sighed wondering if it should be such a turn on to see his human mate enjoying blood so much. Nino probably thought that he was hiding his addiction well but Jun had seen through it, he had even noticed the way that he had looked at his own blood that morning when he had accidently injured him. He made a mental note to ask Sakurai about it and then sat down on the bed taking his mates free hand he caressed it lightly before answering.
“Because...While my blood is healing you it would be like poison to me...I’m not one of the un-dead like they say in stories but my heart doesn’t beat the same way yours does...With my blood in your system it would kill me to drink it...”
“But...I’ve seen vampires drink from each other before...” Nino mumbled and Jun nodded. It was common practice for two vampires to drink from each other, it didn’t feed either of them but it was more for sex reasons and rare that they would do it in public but then again vampires viewed humans little more than cattle even doing something as intimate blood sharing they would have been worried if the only witness was a human.
“Yes, two vampires can drink from each other safely it doesn’t feed them but...You are not a vampire, you are human...Your body changes the make-up of the blood” He murmured wishing that he knew how to explain it. He wasn’t a teacher and he had had no love for the tutors that taught him and now to his regret he knew very little of the reasons why he just knew that was the way that thing were. A happy spark went through him as he remembered his cousin saying that he was teaching Aiba tomorrow. It was risky but it would be a way for Nino to learn and to keep him as far away from Ohno as possible until they could confirm who he was. “Tomorrow...I think you should start your education with Sho...He’s teaching Aiba...”
“Why can’t you teach me?” Nino asked reaching out to him and linking their fingers and Jun smiled shrugging.
“I was a lousy student, I would be an even worse teacher...Sho on the other hand would be an excellent teacher as he likes to do that stuff for fun...”
“...What kinds of things would he teach me?” Nino asked and Jun was relieved that it looked like he wasn’t going to put up much of a fight over this.
“Everything...Everything that you needed or wanted to know about Vampires...” He answered hoping that was true, Sakurai hadn’t exactly said that’s what he would be teaching Aiba but it seemed to be the kind of thing that his cousin would do. Nino drained the last of his blood and handed him the goblet his tongue running over his lips to capture the last of the drops that was clinging to them as his eyes narrowed and he asked shrewdly,
“Is this your way of keeping me away from Ohno?”
“A little...I don’t trust him...Until I have found out more about him I want you to stay as far away from him as possible...Please...” Jun said putting the goblet down into the middle of the bed and locking his hands together in a prayer like motion. Nino laughed a little and nodded with a sigh.
“I promise that I’ll stay away from him...” He agreed and Jun thanked him by pressing their mouths together in a hot almost dirty kiss that he had to pull away from when he felt the familiar stirrings in his loins. Nino looked disappointed but Jun ignored it thinking about the weather until he had calmed down. He wanted to wait to have sex again until he was sure that Nino was thinking clearly, being accused of rape had made him want them to form some kind of connection that Nino could trust first.

“During the bonding he was so open and told me everything that I asked about but now he feels closed off like he's somebody completely different." Nino sighed the next day as he sat in his first class with Aiba and Sakurai. He dropped the metallic pencil Sakurai had given him with a loud clatter and watching it roll away over the table before it dropped to the floor. He hadn’t meant to start moaning about Jun but when the other vampire had asked he hadn’t been able to stop himself. "It’s like he doesn’t trust me and I know that it’s because I messed up the ceremony...isn't it? It has to be...Because of the rogue"
"It's because of the rogue but it isn't your fault, rouges are the lowest of our kind lower even than humans...at the moment you and Jun are only half bonded and that half bond is like an open wound, not just rogue that did it to you but any dominant vampire could step up and claim you..." Sakurai murmured softly picking up the pencil and handing it to him with a smile.
"Even you?" Nino asked wondering why, if that was the case, his mate was allowing them to be in the room together without him. Okay he had made sure that Aiba was in the room and that the door was open so that if he was careful with the angle he could see them from the throne room but he was allowing them to be so close that they could touch.
"I'm by blood nature a submissive..." Sakurai answered and Nino's mouth dropped open in shock and disbelief and the vampire chuckled his eyes dancing a fiery red "don't misunderstand that doesn't mean that I bottom submissive and dominant roles carry much more weight in our species than I'm yours. when i sleep with my soul bound i will take on the aggressors role but if Jun snapped his fingers and told me to drop to the floor and beg like a dog I would...I would even kill myself if he requested...there is only one thing I wouldn't do and that is hurt Aiba...that is why your role is confusing, your highness"
"How so...?" Nino mumbled remembering faintly that Jun had mentioned it during their bonding but wanting Sakurai to explain it again so far he was doing a lot clearer job than his mate had done.
"You are a true submissive but at the same time you are the one person that Jun will ever submit to...in essence you are his one weakness as well as his strength..." Sakurai explained “In your relationship you are the true dominant...It is the amusing facts about the mate system...”
“It still doesn’t make sense...” Nino grumbled and Aiba nodded looking just as sulky as he was feeling and Sakurai smiled pulling an old leather bound book towards him.
“Okay...Lets start at the very beginning with the gods and goddesses...”
