krystalkatzficz“Wow...” Nino whispered when the two men finished their explanation. Like Aiba he didn’t understand most of it, but he didn’t understand his own mating very well but at least Aiba hadn’t been forced into days of sex like he had in fact it all sounded rather sweet. The uncomfortable feeling rose over him again and he stared at the vampire that was pretty much his husband. Instinct had brought them together too but unlike Aiba and Sakurai theirs had involved painful sex that had almost tore him apart. The mists swirled around his mind and he gave a sigh closing his eyes and trying to push it away ignoring the way that shivers broke over his spine when Jun spoke.
“So Aiba is not a pet?”
“No he is my soul bonded...” Sakurai said sounding smug as his eyes travelled over Aiba’s form and Nino could feel the open love in his gaze and felt almost envious that it was not directed at him. Jun just looked at him with heat like he was something that he owned he never looked at him like that. He wouldn’t have sat against the door just listening to his heartbeat.
“I’ve only ever heard stories of that before and then it was rumoured...Is it possible...” Jun said and Nino was irritated that they just spoke about things that the mere humans in the room couldn’t understand because nobody had thought that it was important that they should receive an education.
“Is it possible that you vampire will ever talk in anything but riddles?” Nino spat gripping the blankets of the bed his stomach feeling like his was spinning around really fast with nothing to stop him from falling over. He swallowed a few times but it did nothing for the nausea that was filling him and he was glad that when he sat bolt upright on the bed a bowl was placed in front of him and he could empty out his stomach.
“Nino is still fighting the rogue’s imprint...” Jun murmured, in answer to the startled question that Aiba released, sitting down beside him and stroking a hand up and down his spine causing Nino to almost purr and preen under the touch “Nobody knows how the effects would be for a human...”
“It seems to be like an infection...” Sakurai said thoughtfully rubbing his fingers over his chin his eyes narrowing thoughtfully as Nino looked at him with blurred eyes. He was starting to feel better again under Jun’s touch but at the same time his mind was going through a loop spinning and changing from love and affection to hate and revulsion so fast that he couldn’t keep up and he was having difficulty in concentrating on what the man was saying “An illness of the blood...Humans have them all the time...”
“Nino and I are completely linked...If there was an infection in his blood then mine would also be infected that’s the way that it works...” Jun said his hand coming up to stroke his neck under his hair and Nino whined at the touch his eyes closing for a moment. As they did so a sweet sleepy looking face rose up looking at him with a smile on his lips, a shiver of excitement jolted down his spine and he tried to pull away from Jun. The moment that he did his brain swam and he started trembling again quickly leaning into the warmth that his mate’s body provided. As he did so Jun hugged him tightly against his chest his hands trailing up and down his arm and soft kisses were pressed to the top of his head. The actions were enough to make him cry and he felt guilty for doubting the bond that was between them.
“Yes...But the rogues imprint has never really been studied before and never has it affected a human...” Sho murmured “Normally its smooth, the rogue imprints and infects and then off he trots and waits until he feels he is ready to call the Submissive to him, the submissive is confused for a night or a day but otherwise they are completely unharmed...But this...This is new and I think it’s because Nino is human...His bond with you is great but the imprint is attacking that and trying to find a place to settle in...”
“So what do you think we should do?” Jun asked and Nino stared at the vampire that seemed to have some clue as to what was happening to him. Everything he had just said made sense it was how he was feeling after all. Sakurai though gave a huge sigh and brushed his fingers through his hair looking troubled and a little helpless as he gave a shrug his eyes on Aiba’s face as he answered, either for support or because he couldn’t bring himself to look at Nino and Jun.
“I don’t know...I’m not an expert and what I’ve said is mostly guess work...I could be completely wrong...” he mumbled and Nino sighed sinking back into the bed and refusing to close his eyes not wanting to see that face again.
“Well just suppose you’re not wrong and everything that you’ve said is happening then what should we do then?” Jun asked sharply and Nino stiffened the strange sensation gripping him again and he tried to pull away.
“I would suggest my son that you give the boy your blood twice daily for two months...” A stern male voice said and Nino was shocked to see the king standing in the doorway watching them closely Ari at his side smiling benevolently. Nino sighed when he saw her, his confused mind seeing a halo of apricot shimmering around her body like a cape.
“Father...” Jun hissed not getting up from the bed and Nino could feel him tensing. Torvald lifted a hand motioning for peace.
“Your majesty...” Sakurai said spinning around and dropping his head in a bow while Aiba flushed stammered and then gave a funny squeak dropping to his knees and shouting
“Your kingship, sir”

Jun stopped himself from laughing at the human’s antics and was even gracious enough not to growl when his mother stopped towards the bed something about her and eased his bonded a little he could feel it and he allowed her to rest a hand on his face. Nino gave a moan and a sigh and all at once Jun could feel the painful tension that had been building slipped away. Torvald moved further into the room and Jun growled loudly warning him to step no closer. He didn’t want to fight his father but every muscle in his body was telling him he had to. Sakurai was fine he could stand him being in the room simply because he was a submissive, the same with the human and his mother, but Torvald was a true dominant and Jun’s whole body was reacting to him being here in the chambers that he shared with his mate.
“Peace, my son, I mean you no harm...I spoke rashly to you yesterday but I only came to see how your bonded is and to tell you that this situation is not the first time it has happened...” Torvald said and Jun sucked in a breath while Ari nodded with a smile
“Father what do you mean?” Jun asked and Torvald picked up the cane that he needlessly carried turning it around in his hands looking at the glowing purple crystal on the end before eventually he answered
“This is not the first time that the houses of the gods and goddesses have fallen into the path of a human...Though very few will speak of it...” He said and Jun was just as confused as the rest of the occupants in the room. The only one that didn’t have a bewildered expression on his face was Nino and that was because he had fallen into a peaceful sleep “I however do not wish to lose my son to this so I tell you feed your mate a pint of your blood during the sunrise and sunset of each day for two months...Do not miss a day nor miss the hour...Do it and you will save your bond and your lives...Until then we can speak no more...What I wish to tell you requires permissions from all of the houses of the gods...Your mother and I leave tonight...We shall travel to each of the temples and then return at the end of ten months...Now my son until then I entrust the kingdom of Japan into your hands...You have the right to act in my stead...”
