krystalkatzficzOhno lay on the bed with Nino trapped firmly between his legs his arms wrapped around the slim body. His graceful fingers moved over the skin counting all of the marks that decorated the once unmarred skin. The children had finally left them alone half an hour before knowing that their parents needed sometime to themselves, knowing that they had to reconnect. In Nino’s present condition and his own weakened body all they had done was kiss, cuddle and hold each other tightly their hands moving over each other’s bodies in a way that indicated they were both trying to re-affirm the maps they had of each other. Muffled, tearful whispers of ‘I love you’ and ‘I missed you’ had rung out in between slow loving kisses that had done more for both their hearts than words ever could.
“38...” The lord breathed out eventually after committing each and every single one of the marks to memory and he wasn’t at all surprised when Nino turned to face him with a questioning look in his eyes “You have 38 eight scars now...”
“I a-m so-rry my lo-rd...” Nino whispered looking troubled and almost ashamed of the marks on his body. He would have hung his head in shame but Ohno held him up tightly pressing their cheeks together.
“No my love, I did not mean it in that way, I do not like them but it is a sign of my weakness I should have protected you, I should have gone for you sooner...” He ground out a shudder running down his spine at what might have been, Fuwa had told him only a little of what had happened in the cave including how Nino had gotten the mark around his neck but he knew that she had left out the rapes. Not a word about them had come from her lips but Ohno knew that it would have happened Saito was too far gone in his belief that Nino was truly his lover not to have taken him forcefully, that knowledge coupled with his children’s descriptions of their papa told him what he needed to know. He also knew that until Nino said anything he couldn’t do anything but be there beside him as his support. He had never been a man that could offer much comfort but he hoped that Nino knew that he was there for him always.
“Yo-u wou-ld hav-e rushe-d in a-nd the-n you w-ould h-ave b-een d-ead...I pref-er this o-utcome m-y love...But I sh-ould ha-ve bee-n more c-areful...” Nino whispered his broken voice sounding worse than ever and the lord shook his head pressing a kiss down onto his ear and jaw nibbling and biting while his fingers moved up and down the smooth stomach and over his nipples. Ohno doubted that Nino knew that Fuwa had helped arrange the kidnapping and he wasn’t sure if he should tell him. It was obvious that his lovers opinion of his friend hadn’t changed or been affected knowing that she was the sister of the man that had held him against his will but he was worried that he might find it too much to bare.
“...I do not think anything would have prevented you from being taken...” Ohno sighed pressing his nose and mouth into Nino’s hair, his arms getting tighter around him silently promising himself that Nino was never leaving his side again. “Those guards...They had been my father’s loyalist supporters, even after the massacre of your family and the disgrace that it brought my family and name...They believed that I would never match my father and I prayed that I would never be like him, not seeing that I was becoming more like him each day...They have always hated me I should have known that they would turn to my enemy...”
“Sai-to...He wa-s n-ot alw-ays your ene-my wa-s he?” Nino whispered and Ohno shook his head pressing his lips into his neck again,
“No he was not...There was a time that I would have called him a friend...Do you remember my telling you of how I received the scar upon my face?” he asked and Nino nodded quickly and Ohno could hear the smile on his lips as he said
“Fro-m Fuw-a the da-y tha-t you m-et.."
“Indeed...After that day Fuwa and her younger brother and father came to live within the village...Once I had healed from the injury she gave me she and I spent many days training...” Ohno almost smiled at the happy memory that came over him picturing him and Fuwa finding secret places to train, away from the gaze of anyone else. It had been fun and she had made practice engaging “Saito, being younger followed us like a puppy; I felt like an older brother to the boy but...he was always unhinged though...There were days when we found him hurting children in the village when we truly knew what he would become was when we found that he had placed new born kittens in a bucket with some rocks and then pushed them into the pool by the waterfall...”
“H-e d-id tha-t?” Nino hissed in surprise and Ohno nodded slowly and sadly remembering the pitiful meows of the kittens.
“Yes, my love, he said that he wanted to know if they could swim...That was the day that Fuwa and I learned how to swim...We rescued the kittens...” He admitted with a shy smile delighted when Nino turned around in his arms and held him tightly tucking his head under his chin as he kissed and sucked on his collarbone
“So brave my love even then...” Nino smiled and Ohno’s heart seemed to soar in his chest, somehow amazed that Nino could always make him feel like a hero even with a story as old as it was. “What happened then?”
“Saito and his father left the village, his father had created a large gambling debt that he could not afford to pay...He sold Fuwa to the man in payment...” Ohno told his lover flatly waiting for the reaction. He didn’t have to wait very long.
“Th-e sic-k bastar-d...Ho-w coul-d he d-o tha-t to h-is ow-n dau-ghter?” Nino hissed his fists clenching and Ohno had to agree he had felt the same anger back than and in his heart he still felt it now.
“He...Was a former nobleman that had lost favour with the emperor...His bitterness was passed to his son and it increased in the mind of the disturbed little boy...” Ohno sighed sadly wondering if Saito had remained in the village maybe it would have been possible to save him. Fuwa had told him once that she had known that nothing could save her brother and her words had echoed that in the cave, though Ohno had wondered what lies the younger man had been told that he had been so convinced that Fuwa had left him.
“W-hat hap-pened t-hen, m-y lov-e?” Nino asked pulling him out of his thoughts and Ohno smiled a little kissing his forehead and brushing his thumb against his cheek as Nino reached up and stroked his scar in the beautifully familiar way that he always did
“She had only been in the man is questions ‘Service’ for a day when I found out and I paid to have her released to me...At first he refused but he eventually excepted when I gave him more than the debt was worth...” Ohno murmured flinching a little when he remembered his father’s wrath when had found out about the deal. He had beaten him half to death and then made him train against two men, it was only through his training with Fuwa that he had managed to survive, only when he had beaten them was he allowed to go to the healer “She swore to me a life debt that day and now she has fulfilled it...”
“Sh-e s-aved you-r li-fe whil-e yo-u wer-e in th-e ca-ve?” Nino asked tensing against him and Ohno shook his head with a smile once again kissing his forehead trying to wipe away the questions that he could see there in his face. Ohno could tell that his memories had not returned yet but Fuwa had told him what had happened, how she had come across Saito strangling his lover with a horse hair wire and she had struck her brother over the head with a chamber pot and dragged his half-conscious lover to the small entrance that Miura and Yamashita had made bigger.
“She saved yours, my love,” He whispered touching the bruising around his neck and Nino flinched his eyes filling with fear “She saved your life and to me that is more important to me than anything...I could not live without you anymore...”
“No-r I yo-u m-y lov-e...I wa-s so s-care-d...B-ut I kn-ew t-hat yo-u woul-d com-e for m-e...” Nino breathed and Ohno held him tighter his fingers moving up and down the long scar on his back
