“You told them what?!” Nino screeched looking at the round sleepy faced man. Satoshi had been his brothers best friend since they had met in preschool as both of them were 10 years older than him he had known Satoshi all his life and in truth that had been a time in his youth he might have harboured a crush on him but that time was long since passed and he was furious that Satoshi had roped him into a lie. “Are you crazy! Nobody would believe that!”

“...My parents did, I panicked, my dad was saying all of that and yeah...” Satoshi drifted off his eyes filling with sadness and Nino felt a prickle of guilt that he was arguing when the man had just found out his dad was dying. A voice in the back of his mind was telling him that he should go along with it, Uncle Ohno had always been nice to him but he hadn’t come out to his parents or brother yet and he could only imagine how Sho would react if he found out. He would kill Satoshi.

“Why me? Why not some mythical guy?”

“Because my parents know you, they like you! It’s just for the weekend and its only my parents...” Satoshi hummed and Nino rolled his eyes turning to glare at a kid that had been kicking at the back of his chair “It was a stupid idea, I’ll tell my dad when we land, I’m sure that he will be fine...”

“...No...” Nino muttered extremely slowly biting hard on his lip as he sat back in his seat. “It’s just your parents, right and its just for the weekend...We go home and we break up?”

“Yeah...You mean you will do it?” Satoshi looked genuinely surprised and slowly Nino nodded looking out of the window before huffing;

“Yeah, but you owe me! And I mean you owe big time!”

“Of course” Satoshi gave a chuckle and Nino continued to scowl falling silent and keeping his eyes fixed on the window. He wasn’t looking at the dark clouds however he was looking at Satoshi’s reflection on the glass and the way the man easily flirted with the air steward who had brought him a drink. Rolling his eyes Nino let himself drift of tuning out the world until they were coming into land. “Nino”

“I’m awake, just daydreaming...” He grumbled not moving from his seat until the rest of the passengers had gotten off. He had never seen the logic of rushing when they would all be getting to the same place in the end. Eventually he headed off out of the plane following behind Satoshi who was given a scrap of paper with a number on it when they were leaving. “Urgh...How do you manage it? You barely spoke to him”

“Jealous?”

“No, why would I be jealous? You would sleep with anything with a pulse” Nino scoffed and although he laughed Satoshi didn’t answer him with more than a soft hum.

“Hummm”

“Did you check in any bags?”

“Nope, its only for the weekend” Satoshi answered and Nino gave a nod looking at his own tiny bag. He had brought only the bare minimum refusing to pay extra for baggage. He still had plenty of clothes at his parents anyway so the only things he had really brought were his games and clean boxers. Satoshi was traveling just as light and soon they had gotten through the security checks and were walking through arrivals.

There was a strange nervous buzzing in his chest and he had a feeling that there was something that was going to happen but he didn’t know what until they turned a corner and saw not only his parents but Satoshi’s along with Satoshi’s sister and brother in law with their three children. They were all holding banners saying congratulations and some even saying engagement. Nino dropped his bag his mouth falling open as his mother and father came running towards him wrapping their arms around him tightly.

“Congratulations! We are so happy for you!” his mother said pressing a kiss to his cheek before hugging Satoshi just as tightly. Nino spluttered for a moment stunned when his father held him by the shoulders grinning at him happily before pulling him into a hug.

“I knew there was a reason you wanted to leave home and stay with Satoshi, you always did have a bit of a crush on him!” The man said and Nino choked out;

“Dad!” His cheeks a deep red looking at Satoshi who was getting the same treatment from his own family while he was berating his parents for not keeping it secret.

“What? It’s true, as soon as you could walk you were toddling around after him” Shu chuckled not caring about the fact he was embarrassing his son. “...I’m sorry if you ever thought you couldn’t tell us that you were gay, I never thought we put that pressure on you but...”

“You...You didn’t...I...Um...Satoshi, I need to talk to you...” Nino growled pulling himself free and grabbing Satoshi’s arm so he could pull him away from their very happy and excited family. Not knowing exactly where he was going he dragged him into the nearest toilet and slammed him against the wall ignoring the startled looks they got from those already in the toilet. “What...You told me only your parents...Why the hell is my family...This...Shit...”

“I’m sorry, I told them to keep it a secret...” Satoshi said looking shamefaced as he ran his fingers through his hair ruffling it up at the front. It made him look younger and Nino, for some reason felt his anger ebbing away.

“Clearly they didn’t listen! This is all your fault...I wish...”

“Nino, it’s my fault” the aged voice of Satoshi’s mother said as she appeared in the doorway. There were even more shocked gasps from those in the bathroom and more than a few hurried out pushing passed them. “I got so excited that Satoshi was dating you that I couldn’t help but tell your mum. We’re all really happy...And we haven’t had much to be happy about for a while...”

“I...Yes, of course...Um...Thank-you” Nino muttered not knowing what else to say. He released Satoshi and then chewed on the corner of his mouth his eyes darting from Satoshi and then back to his mum. Satoshi gave him a smile and pulled him into his body with his arm around his shoulder.

“We’re just tired, we had that extra long wait in the airport and...It was a bit of a shock, right Nino?” He said and Nino looked at him and then swallowed unable to trust himself to speak knowing that if he did he would tell her the truth. He guessed that Satoshi must have known that as he gave him a kiss on the top of his head something that caused Satoshi’s mother to let out a loud and happy coo something caused Nino to flush and even brighter shade of red.

“Of course! Come on let’s get you both back” She grinned and Nino was positive there was a glint in her eye as she looked at them before pulling them back out to their overly excited families and Nino couldn’t help but feel sick.
