“I’m sorry” Nino whispered gently when they were alone. Satoshi was laid with his head on his chest over his heart and Nino gently played with his hair in what he hoped was a soothing way. When he had agreed to the deal with the lady of the moon he hadn’t expected to lose his memories of his lover and he had assumed it was something he could explain. “..I didn’t think”

“That much is clear...I understand why you did it but I never want to feel like that again. I felt so empty without our bond” Satoshi said looking up at him his eyes puffy from the tears that he had cried and Nino moved forward and pressed a kiss to his forehead running his fingertip over the largest of the bags that had formed.

“I promise, I will never put you through that again” He promised softly and Satoshi moving up and capturing his lips in a slow and tender kiss. The warmth of their feeling flow through their bond and out into the pack. He couldn’t stop it but he didn’t want to. It wasn’t lustful feelings it was just the feelings of pure love that they had for each other.


“Nothing will come between us again”

“I will make sure of it, I want to bond, as soon as possible I know what your sire said and your grandparents but I don’t want to wait any longer, I love you...”

“I love you to, and I would happily bond with you right here and now, but Masaki and Sho are set to bond soon...We have to wait...At least until after they, and the den needs to be finished...” Nino said calmly but in all honesty he wasn’t against having his bonding sooner rather than later but he didn’t want to rush things just because they were afraid. “I am sorry for what I put you through but we shouldn’t rush things because of fear...”

“I hate when you are so level headed when I can’t be, it was as though you were dead...Like that time in he battle field and yet you were there in front of me, staring at me as though I were a stranger. I don’t know how you came back to me but I will not lose you for a third time” Satoshi promised moving until he was sitting up and staring him in the eyes. Nino gazed at him his heart swelling at the look he was being given and he remembered the words of his bearer though he wasn’t sure where he had heard them.

“I was told that I would see the light in your eyes. I...I think I remembered being a pup, with my bearer...” Nino said not blinking as he allowed his eyes to roam around Satoshi’s taking in all of the details of the irises, the way the pupils seemed to contract and flex. “Nothing makes sense, it all just seems, silly and nonsensical, I remember a soft woman who smelt good, the sound of running water and the small man who held me...He had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen...You still do...I looked into your eyes and I decided you were my man of light! I was never going to let you go...”

“You remembered back to the first time I held you”

“The day I imprinted and I imprinted again, you are mine and I am yours. I love you beyond all measure and I will be with you even after my heart no longer beats. We will go to the heavens and be side by side as stars watching over our great great grandpups...” Nino promised and Satoshi gave a laugh his hand cupping his cheek with his palm and running his thumb over his lip.

“Side by side with you is more than I could ever hope for. But I need you to promise me something else. I know it won’t be easy because of how much your love our pack and hey adore you...Please don’t give up our bond again”

“I will try not to” Nino sighed as his Hua bond squeezed around his chest tightly causing him to let out a moan before telling his alpha. “Hua wants to come in, he has been flexing his bond for a while. I wonder what the other me thought of the bonds”

“You said it was like having worms in your chest, the same as what you said about Mao”

“It’s worse than worms, but at the same time its nice...Is it okay to allow him to come in?”

“I should imagine that he has waited long enough. Let him in, but it is so strange that somebody older than you views you as their bearer”

“Mao and Jun also...” Nino laughed at the look that came over Satoshi’s face and then looked at his shy boy as he came running into the cave as quickly as he could. Hua was beaming brightly and before he knew what was happening Nino found himself with arms wrapped around his neck.

“You’re alive!”

“The last time I checked I was, but given the way you’re hugging me, I might not be for long” Nino teased hugging Hua back as tightly as he could without hurting any of the bones that were sill healing. His eyes met Satoshi’s and he mouthed “I love you...”

“I love you more...I am going to find Jun, Hua, take care of Nino, make sure he doesn’t yet into anymore trouble while I’m gone” Satoshi said standing up slowly after kissing both the palm and the back of the hand. “I will see you soon”

“I will be here..” Nino grinned back patting Hua on the back lightly and Satoshi chuckled lightly combing his hair with his fingers.

“I hope so, see you soon”

“You look like you’ve seen a ghost” Erika spluttered as Jun and Masaki came back to the fire. Their faces were pale and glassy and became more so as they looked at each other before Masaki whispered;

“I think...I think we have”

“Eh? Come on! Be serious!” Erika gasped as she sucked in a breath hitting both the men on the shoulder. “What’s going on? Is there something wrong with Nino?”

“No, he fell and hit his head but otherwise, he’s fine...Now, at least” Jun answered when Mao looked at him sharply. There was no bond between them now, but he suspected that they would always be able to be in tune with each other and he knew that she had picked up on the guilt in his words although he had tried his best to stay calm and aloof.

“Eh? What does that mean?”

“It means he’s fine...We really did see...Something...Maybe a ghost...Or maybe just...We were leaving the cave and...We think we saw Nino’s bearer” Jun chewed on the corner of his mouth as he made his statement. It was obvious who it had been but how was another thing altogether but he was prepared to believe that it was just another thing in the impossible life that was Ninomiya Kazunari. He had thought that the omega would be trouble when Satoshi had first brought him to the nova and now he was convinced of it and yet he was also convinced that Nino was one of the best wolves he knew. I was beyond anything he had imagined and he wasn’t going to waste It. Looking at Erika in the light of the fire before sucking in a breath. “Erika would you agree to court me...?”

Yay! The couple's are coming together! So are we fixin to see another time jump....possibly to a few dens done and Masaki and Shos bonding? Maybe the fountain getting finished too? 😊💙💛
