“I don’t know anything about him but I know enough to know that he can’t be trusted” Nino growled low in the back of his throat and Satoshi gave a nod. He had been expecting such a reaction from his mate since the messenger had been sent and he completely agreed. He had had the same reaction when he had heard but he had known better than to turn the man away out of hand as it would just cause a bunch more trouble that they didn’t need.

“I know, my love, but as it is I cannot turn him away. He has omega with him an pups but I can not have them here with you and Masaki. You are forbidden from being your wolf for longer than an hour” Nino pouted, sticking his tongue out, before he sighed and nodded whispering;

“I would argue but I have to admit that I am feeling the strain. I though we were meant to be able to stay in wolf form for days at a time”

“We are, but we have to build ourselves up to it, you are young, you have barely discovered your wolf and you have spent hours in it. Also we need to be human as well...” Satoshi explained remembering how tired and drained he had been when he had spent longer than a few hours in his wolf when first being able to transform and he had been older than Nino was now. Nino sighed and nodded again before muttering;

“Hua needs me”

“I know and I love that you care so much about him but I need you, I need you to take care of yourself, Tamaska” Satoshi reached out and lay his hand on Nino’s cheek running his thumb under his eye. The omega had slept for 12 hours straight and still his face was looking pinched and drawn. “The battle is fast approaching...”

“I will take care of myself. It would be easier if I could just be human in the caves but I understand why I can’t”

“Soon, soon you can be yourself, my sweet Tamaska” Satoshi promised with a smile moving forward and placing a kiss to his lips. Nino smiled against him and wrapped his arms around his neck. He deepened the kiss in an adorably naive way tentatively moving his tongue against the seam of his mouth probing him to open and although it wasn’t the time or the place Satoshi allowed his Omega to guide him in the sweetest kiss. His fingers trailed up the line of his back to bury themselves under his hair holding his neck firmly over the spot he had bit and Nino went sweetly limp against him while kissing with more force than before guiding him to the alpha nest and pulling him down on top of him.

Jun flushed stepping back from the tent as he saw the position Satoshi and Nino were in on the nest. It wasn’t unheard of for pack to fool around or even mate in front of each other but he did not want to see it. He had been intending to talk to Satoshi about the bond between himself and Mao but it could wait. Instead he walked passed the Ninomiya wolves who were standing on guard. All of them were much older than any of the Nova pack, even Arran, and they were unlike anything Jun had ever seen before. He had always thought of the nova being the most in tune with each other but the Ninomiya had years on them and they were able to read each other in ways that the Nova could only dream of.

The Ninomiya pack had splintered after the death of Kazuko but the former members showed up daily and all acted as though they had never been apart. Even after a separation they were a close knit pack and all had immediately sworn their loyalty to the pack Ninomiya once again. They were all amazed and delighted to see Nino and all of them bemoaned that Kazuko was not there with them.

“Jun!” A female voice called and Jun turned half expecting to see his sister or even Tainta but instead he found himself face to face with Erika. The gamma was a little out of breath but she looked more confident than most of those that had come from the council. “Thank the moon I found you...”

“What are you doing here? Where’s your brother?” Jun asked looking around half expecting to see the young Zeta and was glad that he didn’t. Erika scowled at him, offended that he thought she would bring him here with her.

“He’s still with the council. I wouldn’t want him in danger, I came to help. I heard what was happening...I am a gamma but I’m not afraid, I am pretty skilled at healing and I was taught to fight even though I am just a gamma” She huffed and Jun nodded he wanted to say that she should leave and go back to her brother but in truth they were going to need as many healers as they could get with the coming battle and most of those that had arrived were not skilled in anything but fighting.

“We have enough fighters we need healers. Here is only three of us at the moment...” He said and Erika relaxed nodding relieved that he hadn’t sent her away. “If you need a rest then take one once finished I will take you to the cave we are using for the sick”

“I just need a quick drink and then I can come with you. Is your omega here? He and your alpha forgot this at the eves of the council, they asked if I would bring it with me” Erika said holding up the book he had seen Nino with before he had come to the mountains when Hua had been injured.

“He and Alpha Nova are...Busy...” Jun muttered willing himself not to flush but it didn’t work and Erika stared at him for a moment and then snorted with laughter.

“I see, I guess that I will hold onto it until they are not busy” She hugged the book to her chest and although Jun wanted to say he could take it for her he doubted that she would release it any time soon. The council had entrusted her with the book and that was how it was staying.

“Very well, we have fresh water in the caves, if that is all you need then I will show you in”

“You can’t distract me!” Nino huffed even though he knew that he was completely distracted. They had gone further than they had ever gone before and Nino was still feeling hot and shivery from the feeling of pleasure that had cascaded over his body when he had felt Satoshi positioned in between his legs rubbing him slowly in a slow motion. They hadn’t gone nearly as far as Nino had wanted in that moment and now his mind was clearer he was thankful. At the time however he had been swept away and started begging.

“I’m not trying to, Tamaska, and I agree with you. Gao can stay where he is forever for all I care about him. But we have to accept that no matter what we do he is going to cause problems and I would rather have him causing them where I can see him and stop him.

“You are talking a lot of sense, but I don’t like it, he better not go anywhere near, Hua or any of the others in the cave or I will hurt him”

“And I will be holding him down for you...I will go meet him then”

“If you must...”

I wonder if Jun and his sister can't end this between them. Maybe Erika would be a good match for Jun if they could solve their problem? Everyone is getting hyper and worked up....not surprising that our Ohmiya couple is horny as all hell. Lol. 😊💙💛
