krystalkatzficz Satoshi stared at his Omega, Nino looked so hopeless young and lost in that moment that he wished he had the answer but all he had were questions. Questions for Mao who at least seemed to know something of what was going on between her and Jun even if not all of it. He had no doubt that it was that that was causing Nino to feel the bond between him and Mao though how such a thing was possible was beyond him. Nino never failed to go beyond all his expectations though, the bonds he had with their pack were more intense than any other omega, even Alpha-omega and these feelings would only grow as their bond did.
“I can’t answer, Tamaska, I don’t understand it myself but whatever it is we will discover it together” Satoshi promised feeling as though he was making a lot of these kinds of promises lately. At this rate he as in danger of becoming as studious as Sho was and that didn’t sit well with him. His words brought comfort for his mate though who settled himself against him once more and let out a long sigh rubbing his heart as he whispered;
“I hope so, it feels...Wrong...Not like you or the rest of the Nova...Its...Like its a slug...A large black slug wrapping itself around me...”
“Not the best image...” Satoshi said in a hum wishing he knew something of how the bonds worked but it wasn’t something he was taught. Alpha didn’t have them, only omega did and only if they were the true partner of the alpha of the pack.
“Its all I can think of to describe it...” Nino chuckled “Sorry”
“Don’t apologise, but slugs are rarely welcome much less inside your chest. I promise that we will figure it out and then get rid of it” Satoshi promised again pressing the gentlest of kisses to Nino’s forehead feeling as though they hadn’t had time for just themselves for a long time. It was understandable, Hua had been gravely ill and Nino was an amazing Omega who cared deeply for his pack but Satoshi wished that they could have had time just the two of them to enjoy their relationship and each other more. Things just seemed to be increasingly more complicated with each day.
“Will we be able to?”
“There is always something that will kill slugs” Satoshi hummed thinking of those that had threatened to ruin his garden before it had taken hold. The news Tainta and Arran had brought back was grave but Satoshi just believed that they would have the chance to make changes to their den. Nino wanted a water garden like that in the eves of the council and he would make him the best one. Saito was right, everything did happen for a reason and even this could be a blessing. “Does Alpha RedRiver know of your bond?”
“She felt it, yesterday, when I first felt it I pushed on it and she felt it...She was surprised...You don’t think she did it on purpose do you?”
“No, but I have no doubt that it is down to her and not you and I feel that if she knows then I should talk to her...” Satoshi stopped as a howl went up from down the mountain. A look out from the Ninomiya pack. It was followed by several more and Satoshi snarled while Nino jumped up from the nest half way transforming.
“I’m going to the cave...Hua can’t be moved and I won’t leave him or the others...” He sad fully changed into his wolf before darting off out of the tent as quickly as his four legs would take him. Satoshi watched him leave and then stalked out to where the other alpha had gathered. His eyes went to Mao first but she didn’t even look at him. Her pack was already ready to transform including her second Domoto Koichi a man Satoshi recognised as once being one half of a two rogue beta. They had met at the eves of the council before his partner enjoying fishing if Satoshi remembered correctly. Tsuyoshi Domoto had been killed by a rogue two years ago. How he had come to be second to Mao was a mystery but Satoshi was glad to have Koichi with them.
“Just a small party, scouts most likely” The second said now his ears twitching as he listened to the howls of his packmates. Like Satoshi he knew the different pitches and sounds of the Nova and could tell what they were saying.
Satoshi gave a nod moving forward and looking over the cliff face. The thankfully had the advantage of the upper ground and he saw that it was only a small party of around ten, all of whom would need capturing before they could get back to the Ichigo and inform them of their numbers. Sho was down the mountain hidden with various members of the RedRiver, Ninomiya, Greenleaf, and Ohno packs. The scouting party going missing would alert the Ichigo but it was clear that they already knew something was happening.

It was almost too easy to capture the scouts. The gathered packs had done their best to hide their true number and the scouts weren’t the brightest. The first had run into the camp and skidded to an almost comical stop when he had seen the alpha looking down at him. His packmates had followed closely behind. They had tried to turn and run but Sho and the others had followed them up the mountain trapping them in place. There was only two beta with them, the rest being delta and gamma but all of them were as insane as Ichigo likely was. Maybe Satoshi could understand the beta being that way but the delta and gamma, it seemed the dynamics of the Ichigo pack were more complicated than he could have imagined.
“You are going to die” They snarled from their positions tied up next to the edge of the cliff. That had been Mao’s idea and it had served to unnerve them even if they were pretending otherwise.
“You should be more worried about yourselves, you’re the ones sitting so close to the edge, it wouldn’t take much to push you over...And I would be happy to do it...” Mao snarled her arms folded over her chest as she glared at them almost hoping that one of them would get the idea to change back into their wolf and try to fight. It wasn’t going to happen Satoshi knew that even as insane as they were they knew that they wouldn’t stand a chance. The loudest of the group snarled at Mao but she simply shot him an icy stare. Satoshi tried not to think too much about the strange link between the female and his mate.
“Who do you think you are? We are of the Ichigo! We came only to find out why such a large number of wolves were settled so close to our territory”
“I am alpha nova of the Nova pack. From what I have seen the Ichigo have destroyed my home...” He said in a tone that almost matched Mao’s in coldness. He knew that his eyes would be narrow into a scowl. Almost immediately the face of the Beta went pale as he nervously licked his lips.
“You are alpha Nova? Gao told us that you had no true power...” The gamma to his right hissed and Satoshi sent him a look that caused him to try and slither away but ended up closer to the edge than he had been expecting.
“It seems that your beta Gao lied. May I ask why you took it into yourselves to destroy our home?” Satoshi asked and the group swallowed nervously and looked at each other. The one near the edge shifted into her wolf breaking the bonds around her arms and legs she snarled at them all and tried to make a desperate attempt at fleeing but Mao jerked her head at her second and Koichi shifted into an almost blue coloured wolf and pinned her down his mouth around her throat. The whine she let out sounded around the mountain and Satoshi felt the bond around his heart tighten in worry and he stroked it soothingly trying to calm him down.

Nino looked to the entrance of the cave at the loud sound of a whine. The whine wasn’t one of his pack members but he saw that the Ichigo flinched telling him it was one of theirs.
“Is the battle starting?”
“I think so, at least soon” Nino answered Hua turning to look at him again before licking his hand. The beta looked almost sad carefully motioning to his broken body.
“I can’t fight like this, I’m so pathetic. Even before the battle I am causing problems...”
“Nope, my sweet boy, but it’s okay, I am just glad that you are alive” Nino said gently resting his head on his stomach making sure not to hurt anywhere that he was injured and Hua let out a laugh saying in a somewhat embarrassed voice through their mental link;
“You talk like you’re older than me...I like it”
“Good, cause you are my sweet boy and when we win the battle I am going to make sure you recover and then I have a special task for you to help me with...But until then all you need to focus on is getting well again...Oh...Have you seen the second from the RedRiver pack? He’s really handsome...”

I love the idea of the second and Hua.
Nino's dad is not a good choice.
Let his dad keep worshiping his true mate.
