Satoshi smiled gently over the small intimate table at his date. Nino looked more beautiful than ever in a pair of black dress trousers and a light blue shirt that was slightly open around his neck revealing a patch of creamy white skin. His hair had been brushed out of the normally messy style into a tame style that had a natural wave to it. He looked gorgeous and Satoshi couldn’t believe his luck that he was here with the handsome man. The restaurant wasn’t the most expensive but it was the most he could afford and he didn’t think Nino minded and the conversation had been pleasant throughout the meal.

“Do you want dessert?”

“No thank-you, but you can have some...” Nino answered with a shake of his head sipping at the coffee that had been a little too bitter for his taste but Nino seemed to like it. He had been eying the dessert cart all evening and had been looking forward to some hot chocolate fudge cake but he was wondering if he should forgo it. “Honestly, I don’t mind you having some. It’s just that I don’t really like sweet things. It’s the reason I only ever have vanilla ice-cream”

“I did wonder...” Satoshi said with a smile looking for their waitress who smiled and then motioned for him to wait a minute. “Can I get you another coffee at least?”

“I’m already going to be awake all night as it is but another won’t hurt” Nino grinned draining his cup before settling back into his seat. “I booked a studio...For four days. I hope that you and Satomi will come by”

“Wouldn’t we be in the way?” Satoshi hummed straightening himself up as the waitress started walking over to them taking her little notebook out of the pocket of her apron as she did so.

“No, I think I sing better when you’re their besides I wrote a song for you, I want you to hear it before it’s released...” Nino answered with a grin his cheek growing a warm pink at the admission and Satoshi smiled happily.

“Can I get you anything else?”

“A hot chocolate fudge cake please and another coffee” Satoshi answered and the woman smiled writing it down before taking Nino’s empty cup and hurrying off to leave them alone again. “I would be happy to come by”

“Good, I’m glad” Nino gave him a happy smile and then reached out across the table taking his hand which had been resting on a napkin. “I’m really glad you wanted to come out with me tonight”

“I should be saying that, I can’t understand why somebody like you would want to be here with somebody as dull as me”

“I don’t think you’re dull. Far from it, you are so sexy...” Nino purred happily as a female voice giggled before coughing and Satoshi flushed brightly as he looked up and saw the young waitress holding a tray with his cake and Nino’s coffee. Her cheeks were pink but she was smiling happily as she placed the cake down onto the table her eyes on Nino’s hand that was still holding on to his. “Thank-you”

“You’re...You’re welcome” The woman bobbed her head and then danced away holding her tray to her chest. Nino stroked his fingers slowly before withdrawing his hand.

“She...She knows we are on a date...That we are gay?” Satoshi whispered and Nino sipped his coffee looking around at the resturant that had emptied out of customers before saying;

“I think that everyone knows Oh-chan...Does that bother you?”

“I...” Satoshi started his heart skipping just a little. He had only just become aware of his sexual preference he had never acted on it before but looking at Nino’s pale face lit by the red candle that was on the table he felt proud that he was here on a date with somebody like Nino and he didn’t care. He reached out and took Nino’s hand this time linking their fingers slowly “I’m not bothered at all”

“Good” Nino said happily and they continued to hold hands while he ate his cake and Nino drank his coffee. Satoshi paid the bill noticing that they had both chosen the cheaper options. He felt bad but he thought that Nino fit with him. “Do you want to take the train back? Or are you okay with walking?”

“I’m fine walking, I want to spend more time with you” Satoshi hummed almost wishing he could invite Nino back to his apartment but although they had known each other for three weeks this was their first real date and he wanted to do it properly, besides Satomi was with Masaki and his husband which was also where Nino was living in a small granny flat in the garden. Nino chuckled happily tucking his arm around his resting his cheek against his shoulder.

“I’m glad, I want to spend more time with you too”

They walked out into the night and away from the restaurant towards Masaki’s home. Their path led them through the park that they had met and as they passed the spot where Satomi had taken the money out of Nino’s case Nino stopped them walking and pulled him into a hot kiss. Satoshi moaned as the thin mouth pressed against his. His arms slipped around Nino’s slimmer body holding him close as their mouths moved together in sync. Nino moaned a little and Satoshi swallowed it down before letting out his own breathy gasp when Nino’s teeth nipped gently at his lower lip. Satoshi could feel his heart banging against his ribs and it was with great reluctance that they pulled apart.

“I’ve been wanting to kiss you since I first saw you...” Nino told him and Satoshi felt his heart skip his hand coming up to run over Nino’s lips.

“Me too...” He said before he was kissed hotly again. This kiss wasn’t as long or as passionate but Satoshi thought that it was sweeter.

“I’m never going to let you go...I will be a great mama to Satomi and a better lover to you, just like you both deserve...” Nino chuckled as he hugged him and Satoshi laughed wondering how he had gotten this lucky.
