“You look surprisingly happy” Toma grumbled sleepily as Jun made his way into the changing room for VS Arashi. He was the only one there already and Jun just grinned brightly before dropping down into his regular seat picking up one of the fashion magazines that lay scattered over the table. He flipped it open and found himself looking at Nino. The man was posing in a black and white outfit with a mess of black curls falling over his face as he looked into the camera. His lips were slightly parted in a sweet gasp and just enough of his neck was exposed to see the cute Adam’s apple. His hands were clasped together in front of him and a bag was held between them. His feet were pointed inwards in a cute position and Jun felt warmth sweep through his lower half. In a box just on the right of Nino’s leg was another picture. He was wearing he same outfit as the main picture but this time his finger was in front of his lips and one eye was winking as he held up a deck of cards with the Joker lifting in the centre. He looked even cuter in this picture and Jun wasn’t aware that Toma was talking to him until he heard him say rather loudly “...Right?”

“Huh? What?”

“I’m not repeating myself...” Toma said waving his hand and looking justifiably irritated and Jun felt a pang of guilt.

“Sorry, what were you saying?”

“It wasn’t anything important, I was just saying it was warm, right? I think the air conditioner is playing up...” Toma answered getting up and coming over to stand behind him. Jun didn’t bother to hide the paper not even when his friend and group mate said “So what are you looking at...Oh, Nino-chan, he the reason you were grinning all creepily to yourself...”

“I’m so sorry that I’m happy” Jun growled rolling his eyes as he shoved Toma slightly too hard for it to be playful. Toma shoved him back with as much force saying hotly;

“Don’t be a dick, I didn’t say it was a bad thing. I like Nino-chan he looks better than most girls and he makes you happy, but if you’re not careful the fans are going to notice and then you will be in trouble”

“They’ve already figured out something!” Masaki announced sweeping into the room followed closely by Sho who was looking puffy faced and tired with two large love bites visible under the neck of his shirt. “Sho was in the shop yesterday and he heard some girls talking about Jun and he went all perverted uncle and followed them around the shop”

“Masaki, stop saying it like that, I wasn’t being a perverted uncle. I just heard Jun’s name being mentioned and I followed them” Sho sighed looking frustrated as though he had been hearing the same thing since telling Masaki and Jun had to admit that it did sound a little creepy uncle-ly but he stayed silent allowing Masaki to laugh and say teasingly;

“That is a creepy uncle thing to do...”

“Shut up, Masa”

“Fine, tell them what you heard”

“They were saying ‘Doesn’t Jun-kun look cuter recently? And isn’t he smiling more? I bet he’s got a new girlfriend! I bet it isn’t a girlfriend...Eh? Then who? Nino-chan! I am sure I heard Jun-kun’s laugh in that video Nino-chan uploaded” Jun balked in surprise at that, he had known that Nino had tried to completely edit him out of the video but there had been one part that he hadn’t been able to edit without cutting off some of his audio. The laugh had been quiet but they had obviously underestimated the power of the fangirls. Sho it seemed hadn’t finished yet and continued mimicking the girls in a high pitched voice. “Eh! But if its Nino-chan then it’s fine! I would be upset with a girl but not Nino-chan! Jun-kun has been such a big fan of Nino-chan ne? They are so cute together! Like on the VS arashi! Jun-kun was helping Nino-chan! And people who saw the filming said that Nino-chan fell over and Jun-kun helped him! Kyaa!”

“How long were you listening to them? Cause I think Masaki is right, you are sounding like a creepy uncle” Toma laughed while Jun was going through some internal panic. His stomach was churning like a washing machine on spin. He honestly hadn’t expected the laugh to be noticed but he had let his admiration for Nino show a lot because he couldn’t help it. He illusionist was unlike anything he had ever seen before and he was truly touched that he had been able to see him designing a new trick that morning. “Look it’s nothing to worry about, fans ship us all the time, remember Junma and Sakuraiba...And forever alone Ohno?”

“I’m married thanks” Satoshi said with a dry sleepy laugh dragging himself into the room and looking them over. “What’s going on?”

“Some girls were shipping Jun and Nino-chan and Sho was acting like a perverted uncle” Toma answered as the man moved further into the room and Satoshi blinked slowly and then nodded saying;

“Ah, yeah I heard something like that on the train...Some school girls were playing a clip of Nino-chan’s newest video where you laughed...They were saying it was cute”

“Fans are scary...I watched that video and couldn’t hear Jun’s laugh” Masaki hummed and Jun gave a shrug. He had watched the video as well and hadn’t noticed a laugh but it seemed that fans had better hearing. So far they seemed to be accepting but there would be some fans that wouldn’t and he hoped that nobody would attack Nino for it.

“It will die down, they are just hearing what they want to hear” Sho told them obviously reading the mood and Jun knew that he wouldn’t be smiling now. If it became too much of a problem then management might get involved and he could be told to stop seeing Nino and that wasn’t something that was going to happen.

“Why should it become a problem? Just because you were in a video? Just tell the truth...You were there...As a friend. You met on VS arashi and became friends...You were there supporting him when his company were being dicks” Masaki said with a shrug speaking more sense than anyone would have expected from him. “Let them have their ship and knock it on the head...Everyone knows I’m friends with him...”

“When did you get so smart?”

“I’ve always been smart, you just never noticed, we can mention it today in the opening talk now let me have that magazine when you’re done!”

You tricked me! Fans were taking it so well I thought this was heading towards an inavitable confession, but that twist at the end knocked me out! So smart and creative Aiba!! Yet, i can´t wait to read Nino's reaction to this mess too!
