Satoshi accepted his coffee from Nino with a smile and then took his hand holding him in place at his side. A breakfast had been laid out on the table in front of him and although he didn’t feel very hungry now Satoshi was doing his best to eat it because Nino had made it. His parents had turned stony faced and his father was outright glaring at the young vampire who was staring boldly back. Nino gave them both a charming smile ignoring their expressions as he said rather happily;

“Your case must be a big one if people are already talking about it. You haven’t even had the first meeting yet. I told you that it was going to change your life...”

“It is going to ruin the family name. You can’t win, you aren’t good enough. The Toma’s will crush you” Satoshi’s father told him with a snarl. Satoshi was rather glad that looks couldn’t kill as Nino would have been dead the moment the eyes settled on him. Of course, Nino wasn’t bothered by the expression and even went so far as to let out a whistle saying somewhat bitterly;

“Wow, you’re a ray of sunshine, aren’t you?”

“Excuse me I believe that I was talking to my son, not his…Whore…”

“Talking? Is that what you think you were doing? If that is how he’s spoken to no wonder my Oh-chan’s confidence is as low as it is and for your information and your disappointment, I’m not a whore…”

“There isn’t any other reason you would be with my failure of a son…”

“Oh-chan, I’m really sorry for what I am about to say…” Nino apologised softly tugging his hand free and lightly brushing it over his cheek before moving around the table, so he was standing in front of his father. He wasn’t an overly tall man himself, but he was taller than Satoshi by a good few inches and as such managed to tower over Nino who appeared to be frail under the scowl that he was getting. Satoshi would have been afraid, but Nino didn’t cower he stood as tall as he could and then spat. “Get the fuck out of my house…”

“Your house? This is my sons…” His father almost spluttered his eyes bulging out of his head as his face went a funny red colour. Satoshi blinked slowly and then gave a smile.

“And I am his lover, I live here, and I don’t apricate you coming in here and abusing my lover the way that you are. He is mine, I don’t give a rat’s ass if you think he’s a failure I think he’s amazing and my opinion is the only one that matters” Nino growled in a surprisingly soft voice. It carried though and Satoshi knew that his father had heard every word clearly. Satoshi knew that his mother had as she had sucked in a breath and was staring at Satoshi with an expression that caused his ears to burn with embarrassment. “Understand?”

“…You think that I will let you speak to me like this? You are nothing…Shouldn’t you be getting back to school?” His father spat all but accusing him of being a paedophile. Satoshi blinked slowly but Nino just smirked and asked;

“And shouldn’t you be getting back to the old people’s home?” Unable to stop himself Satoshi let out a laugh that he tried to hide by taking a sip of his coffee. Even his mother appeared to smile though she hid it better. Nino jabbed the older man in the chest and then continued “I am not intimidated by you. Better men than you have tried to make me cower and they have failed…”

“Just who the hell are you? My son has no money to keep you interested…”

“No, but he has a huge dick and knows how to us…” Nino stopped speaking as he was slapped hard by the older man. There was a cracking sound and Satoshi watched in amazement as his father shook his hand almost whimpering with pain. Nino’s tongue slipped out of his mouth and then smiled again before taking a step forward. His mouth came to rest against his father’s ear, and he whispered something before taking a step back. Satoshi didn’t hear what he had said but whatever he had caused his father’s face to pale and his eyes to bulge a little more out of his face. “Unless you have something constructive to say get out of here…My Oh-chan was having his breakfast and he has to go to work”

“Fine…Come on…” Satoshi watched his father drain the coffee that Nino had made before jerking his head at his mother. The older man swept quickly out of the room without waiting to see if she was coming. Satoshi twitched a little wishing that he could say something to her, she had never been as bad as his father was, but he didn’t know what he could say in this situation. She slowly got to her feet looking slightly confused before she too drank the coffee and then smiled slowly;

“It was nice to meet you, Nino-kun…”

“And you Ohno-san, hopefully we will meet again another day” Nino smiled politely his whole stance changing as he addressed the woman. Satoshi was surprised that his mother had said that but more surprised when she said;

“I would like that, I will phone you in the week? I’m happy that my son is being taken care of…Though I would have rather not known about his genitalia…” Her cheeks grew a warm red as she looked down at Satoshi who was wishing the ground would open and swallow him. Nino on the other hand looked completely amused as he shrugged and said;

“Sorry, but your husband asked…”

“He did, Satoshi…Um…Good luck with your case, I know that you can do it…” She said touching him on the shoulder in a soft pat and Satoshi reached up and took her hand giving a squeeze before they both jumped as his father shouted from the hallway.

“Thanks, mother…” Satoshi whispered, and she gave a nod dipping her head in a bow before hurrying out of the kitchen and down the corridor. The door was soon slammed closed and Satoshi sighed looking at his lover who smiled somewhat apologetically before saying;

“Sorry, I hate people like that, my father was the same…He learnt pretty quickly that I wasn’t going to allow it…”

“Did his hand break?”

“He might have fractured his finger, his own fault he slapped me…And it was pretty hard…” Nino chuckled settling himself down into what was fast becoming his chair. He slowly started eating the food that he had made wincing at how cold it was now. Satoshi watched him for a moment and then mused;

“What…What did you say to him? When you whispered?”

“Nothing much…Just something to make him leave…Your mum is pretty sweet…I think we will be great friends…”
