Jun soared through the sky moving more gracefully than he would without Nino sitting on his back nestled between his wings. The human held on tightly but there was never any danger that Jun would drop him. Any rider he chose to allow on his back would never be unseated let alone his human. As he flew he once again thought about the human and how he had come to him, or rather how he had come to stay with him.
Five Years Previous
Jun stared at the human he had just picked up from the village. He was a scrawny specimen, with small hands and pale face and yet there was a touch of defiance, okay more than a touch, in the bright brown eyes. His hands were resting on hips that were a straight as a line, and his foot was tapping ever so slightly on the stone floor as if irritated with all that was happening and not at all scared that he was about to be eaten by a large purple dragon. Never in his life had he experienced such a thing and Jun was at a loss to what to do. They had been staring at each other for some hors at this point and Jun could see that it was getting dark around them. He wouldn’t get cold but the human was barely wearing anything and already he could see him try to stifle his shivers. With a huff the haughty dragon turned, being careful not to hit the human with his tail and snorted at a tree.

The tree burst into fire quite quickly and was soon crackling very merrily while shooting sparks of red, gold, and blue high up into the air. Feeling highly smug with his efforts Jun turned back to the human somewhat surprised and amused that he was still standing in exactly the same position that he had been in. Jun had half expected him to make some sort of attempt at running even though they were on top of a cliff and the scrawny little human didn’t seem to be the out-doors kind. Jerking his head rather pointedly at the fire Jun moved aside to let the human pass but of course he didn’t move. Suspicion entered his eyes though and his lips curled into a hateful snarl as he spat;
“What you like your meat cooked? Well I’m not gonna make it easy for you, if you want me well done you will have to do it yourself. I can’t believe those bastards, I told them I wasn’t a witch but no...Just because of that spiteful cow...Why couldn’t she just accept that I wasn’t into her? Little bitch...But no, I turn her down and bam I’m a witch because yeah...” Jun watched the human rant deciding that the pinkish colour in his cheeks was actually rather attractive. He wasn’t...Typically handsome, he was slightly to girlish for that...But there was something about...If anything Jun would say he was pretty...But even that didn’t fit...It was curious he supposed. “Well I guess I would rather be dead than have to sleep with her...So, come on then, Mister Dragon, if you’re gonna eat me get on with it...I haven’t got all day...”
Deciding that the human wasn’t going to move to the fire before he froze to death Jun saw no other choice but to change and explain that he wasn’t going to eat him. There wasn’t enough meat on him for starters and he had never developed a taste for human flesh. Looking at the human he rolled his eyes and then concentrated on shifting down into his human state. He had rarely shown himself to humans in this form, only a handful that he deemed worthy but not a single one of them reacted the way the human in front of him did. The human looked almost non-pulsed, as though a huge dragon shifting into a slim human was something that he saw every other Tuesday.
“I rather think that you will die from talking yourself to death before I eat you little human. I created the fire to warm you not cook you...” Jun hummed using his most polished and charming voice. The human managed to look surprised and doubtful all at once and with huffed sigh Jun moved forward and rubbed the man’s arm were goose-pimples had broken out. “It is almost night and we are high in the mountains...You will freeze if you do not move to the fire...”
“What’s wrong? Don’t like cold cuts?” The human huffed but to Jun’s relief he moved forward to the fire and sat down his skin glowing with the warmth of it.
“Did they sacrifice you because you talked to much?” Jun asked when it seemed that the human was warming up thoroughly and Nino gave a shrug before saying;
“Because I’m a witch...”
“Are you? I’ve known a great many witches in my time you look like none I’ve seen...” Jun hummed with some surpise. Of course, he had heard the rantings the human had been spewing but he hadn’t really paid them much attention now though he was studying the human in a new light. He couldn’t sense any magic coming off of him, and in all honesty he had never met a male witch.
“Not enough warts?”
“Not enough breast...Witches are female in my experience...” The dragon answered moving towards the fire and noting with some amusement that the human appeared to be watching his genitals moving from side to side as he walked.
“My mum was a witch, or so they said, I don’t know, I never met her, she died giving birth to me...Not a very good witch...” The human spoke drily, as though he didn’t care, but Jun could tell that his mother was a sore point for the human.
“...Most witches die in childbirth, it is why very few choose to reproduce...” Jun hummed sitting on a rock and doing his best to cover himself. “But just because she was a witch doesn’t mean that you would carry that trait, you seem to be magic free from where I’m sitting...So why would they try to sacrifice you for that?”
“They didn’t...They sacrificed me because the daughter of the village chief wanted to sleep with me and I said no...”
“Why? Not man enough?”
“She had rather too much breast for me...And not enough...Penis...” The boy muttered his eyes going to Jun’s legs for a moment. “Also she had already slept with almost half the village...”
“I see, she accused you of being a witch?”
“Yes, she claimed that I used my powers to seduce her...As if...” The human rolled his eyes and then sighed before saying “Seriously, if you’re going to eat me can you get on with it? It’s not like I’ve got anything else to do...”
“I’m not going to eat you, you’re too bony...” Jun hummed studying him for a moment before saying and getting up from the rock. “You shall come to my nest, I could use a cleaner...”
