“The rest you know” Satoshi hummed finishing his story and Nino swallowed a thick lump from the back of his throat. There was a prickle of tears behind his eyelids and he grabbed Satoshi’s hands tightly. He hadn’t expected such a detailed breakdown of what had happened and he had to admit that he was embarrassed about what had happened but he was also upset that he had behaved that way and made Satoshi feel like that. Of course, he hadn’t noticed that Satoshi had those feelings for him but he probably should have noticed at least something.

“I’m sorry...” He whispered bringing the man’s hands up to his mouth and kissing them slowly. Satoshi stroked his nose and then his lower lip before brushing his fingertip over the mole on his chin.

“What for?” Satoshi asked softly and Nino gave a shrug and a strained little laugh. He couldn’t believe that the man was so casual about what had happened. He supposed in the grand scheme of things that night had been the best things that had ever happened to him and to Nino so it meant that it had all worked out for the best.

“I dunno...For your jacket and kneeing you in the balls...For misjudging you...And most importantly for forgetting...When I promised that wouldn’t” Nino sighed wishing he could turn over in the bed but it still hurt to move with the stitches in his stomach. Satoshi’s lips pressed against his neck his hands moving up and down his arm. Goose pimples broke out over his skin and he gave a smile. “I hurt you”

“You did, but I didn’t help, the way I treated you that morning after...” Satoshi sounded so apologetic that Nino ignored the pain flowing through him and turned around to look at him. His hand came to caress his cheek and his thumb moved over his lip. He loved this man, he loved him so much now, that he couldn’t stand the way that he had behaved before.

“We were both at fault...But it doesn’t matter now, ne? We are together and we have little ET...Who I suppose needs a name...” Nino gave a little smile and then looked over at his daughter. She was still asleep with the strange warming hand resting on her back. It was meant to be comforting but Nino wished that he could touch her and hold her himself. He really hadn’t been a good bearer but he hoped that he would be able to carry his baby to term. Sadly he hadn’t been able to do even that.

“Yes, she does...Have you thought about one?” Satoshi asked and Nino shook his head saying in a grumble;

“We hadn’t even started thinking about one, yet”

“She wasn’t meant to be born yet. Haven’t you been thinking of names?” Nino asked and Satoshi shook his head making Nino turn back around when he saw that it was getting too painful for him and Nino sighed slowly resting his head against Satoshi’s chest once again as the man said;

“She’s your baby, you carried her”

“You helped, it wasn’t as though I made her alone” Nino snorted through his nose and Satoshi gave a hum of agreement. His fingers moved over his stomach and Nino winced ever so slightly as he touched his wound. “Was I really that needy? You can’t believe that...”

“You were a vixen, I was amazed. It was as though all of my dreams had come to life...” Satoshi answered his voice soft and husky against his ear and Nino remembered the way that he had felt when he had first woken up. It had been as though his whole body was singing with pleasure and he knew that Satoshi had been an amazing lover.

“...I guess drunk me as thinking that this was my only chance too...So I went for it...I did want to love you...And now, thanks to that night and ET we are together and we are engaged...” Nino grinned looking down at the ring on his finger. “But we really can’t keep calling our baby ET”

“Why not, its a cute little nickname” Satoshi laughed and Nino rolled his eyes his mind going through a list of names for his daughter. He hadn’t really seen her properly yet, it was difficult while she was in the incubation chamber. The nurses and doctor had told them that if she continued to do well then she would be allowed to have time out of it next week but currently they were worried about infections and the fact that she had struggled to breathe a little. “We will think of a perfect name for our perfect princess”

“Yup, is everything going okay at the office...”

“Everything is fine. After this I’m not talking about it. Sho and Masaki are taking care of everything and Jun and his father are helping out...So, don’t worry about it, okay?” Satoshi told him and Nino gave a nod. He did feel bad that he was causing so many problems for everyone around him. He knew that it was a hassle but another part of him found that he really couldn’t care much about anything other than the fact he was alive, ET was alive and Chinen would be in prison for a long time.

“Okay...Ne, Satoshi, I love you” Nino smiled before wincing as ET let out a whining cry. It was a tiny sound, almost a whimper, and he knew that she was hungry even though he didn’t know all of her cries again. He moved forward and then tried to slip off the bed but the pain was too intense and he had to watch as Satoshi slipped out from behind him and moved over to the cot. He watched with interest as Satoshi carefully made up a meal. It wasn’t a regular bottle as she wasn’t able to feed through the mouth yet but had to have a food injection through a tube but Nino was irritated that he couldn’t even do that for her.

“Don’t look so grumpy, you’re awake now, her first proper feed will be yours” Satoshi hummed and Nino gave his lover a loving smile happy that he could read him so easily.

“I’ll hold you to that” Nino chuckled before tiredness over came him and he closed his eyes falling back into the pillows. It wasn’t as comfortable as it was to be against Satoshi but at the moment he was tired and he needed sleep. “Good night...I love you”

“I love you too” Satoshi chuckled and Nino gave a smile drifting to sleep his mind filled with dreams of prince’s and ogres.
