Nino stumbled sleepily into the kitchen. His neck ached from the awkward angle he had slept last night and his hair was scruffy over his eyes. His eyes were partially closed and he was barely paying attention to where he was going. He hadn’t been able to sleep until four in the morning. His omega had been uncomfortably away that his alpha was sleeping not too far away and he had wanted to ignore his mothers instruction and go to him. He had squished that feeling down but it was hard and he was pretty sure his lips and palms of his hands were bruised from where he had both bit on it and scratched it with his nails. He stumbled down into the chair closest to him and placed his head on the table saying in a whine;

“Mum! My neck hurts! I’m tired. I don’t think I should go to school today” There was tapping of slipper covered feet against the tiles and then Nino felt fingers moving into the muscles around his neck. It didn’t take him long to realise that it wasn’t his mum and slowly he looked flushing when he found Sho standing over him massaging his neck in slow steady circles. “Sho...”

“Yup, good morning...You look...Rough...” Sho said with an annoying amount of cheerfulness. It was too damned early but Sho looked as though he slept comfortably. Nino scowled at the statement and then turned his face back to the table. Even his Omega seemed offended by the statement and he huffed;

“Cheers for that...Real confidence booster you are...”

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to be insulting. I just meant that you look tired” Sho mumbled apologetically and Nino decided that it was impossible to stay even a little bit mad when Sho’s fingers found the most painful spot on his neck, his alpha senses obviously helping, rubbing it more deeply than he had been. It hurt for a moment and then, as if something clicked back into place, the pain eased.

“Cause I am...That feels good...”

“...Me too...I didn’t get to sleep till about half four...Um...I think you should know that you were calling...” Sho told him sounding embarrassed. His voice was a whisper and Nino could understand why. Calling was...Was one of the most animalistic of Omega characteristics. It was another reason that people believed that Omega couldn’t control themselves. It was rare that somebody of his age could perform the call but like Sho said he was a true Omega.

“I was what?”

“Calling, it’s sort of like a purr but higher pitched...Beta’s can’t hear it but...Alphas can” Sho explained sounding as though he was reading from a text book and Nino felt like growling. He shrugged Sho’s hands off of him as he stood up quickly and turned to look at the alpha saying sharply;

“I know what the calling is, but...But why should I be doing that?”

“Because...Your hot elite Alpha boyfriend was sleeping not far from you” Yuna’s voice supplied helpfully, sounding just as groggy and sleepy as Nino was. She was wearing an oversized shirt with only a pair of female boxers but Sho didn’t even look at her legs. It gave Nino a little boast of confidence, the teen hadn’t been able to stop looking at him last night when he had come out of the bathroom, even now the Alpha stepped closer to him so his body was pressed against his with his arm around his waist. His thumb was moving up and down his side and Nino gave a small smile a purr escaping even though he tried to fight it. “Mum thought that it would happen that’s why she didn’t want you with only the door between you...Jeez...Mum was called into work early so I’m meant to do your bento...Here...Take that and buy yourself a bento box from the 7-11 or the canteen”

“You’re lazy”

“Yup, but I have to get to school too and I can’t be bothered...” Yuna grumbled. Sho started and Nino could understand why, Yuna always acted and sounded so much older than she was that it was hard to believe that she was only two years older than she was. They didn’t attend the same school anymore, thanks to her connection to his teacher she had been given a free placement at an elite girls school which focused more on the arts side of things. It had been a good thing as Yuna had rarely attended regular school but she did the one she attended now. “Do I have something on my face?”

“No...I just...I just figured that you were older than us...”

“I’m probably about the same age as you” Yuna said pushing passed him so she could get to the stove. There was already food prepared which was probably why Nino had thought that his mum was still there and Yuna served it onto three plates and then poured two coffees. Nino grinned as his favourite cup was set in front of him and Yuna hummed under her breath before looking at Sho. “What do you want to drink?”

“Um...Tea, please...” Sho answered sitting down next to Nino his hand coming to claim his. Nino smiled squeezing at the hand before focusing on his breakfast and coffee.

“You’re such a good boy aren’t you?” Yuna chuckled lightly ruffling Sho’s hair with her fingertips. Yuna was harsh but she had their mother’s motherly streak and it showed more when they were alone together. “How did a good boy end up going to rap clubs?”

“Um...I just...My friends at school. They lent me some of their CD’s and stuff. They are into western music and I really liked it. DJ-ing and Rap...There was something I dunno...It’s fun...Different to the kind of stuff that my parents made me listen to...” Sho answered his words punctiated with nervous shrugs before he cleared his throat and asked “How did you end up listening to rock?”

“Um...Touché...But seriously, I can’t imagine you rapping. Maybe...Loose the preppy boy clothes and get a piercing or something...”

“I told him that! A piercing would be really cute right?” Nino agreed happily pointing to the lobe of Sho’s ear. The older teen flushed a little but then a grin saying;

“Maybe you can come with me this weekend when I get one”

“Really?”

“Yeah, since you’re both in agreement. I’ve always wanted one but I didn’t think anyone else would think it would look good” Sho admitted and Nino purred happily through a mouthful of food. He rubbed his cheek against Sho’s shoulder as Yuna let out a laugh saying;

“I think that Kazu thinks it will and he’s the only one whose opinion matters, right?”

“Right...” Sho agreed and Nino’s omega purred with more happiness at that “So, you will come with me this weekend, Nino?”

“Yup!”
