Lord Ohno's mistress: Part 27

Toma’s face went pale at the statement and Nino had to admit that he could believe the words coming from his lord’s throat and he made a quick decision.

“My love…” He said softly turning away from his friend to look into the older man’s face his hand on his cheek as his thumb brushed over the scar. Ohno’s eyes were dark and seemed to be almost deadly as they stared at Toma but soon he refocused his attention to Nino and his eyes softened just slightly.  Nino smiled at him, thinking that he looked just like an angry cat protecting his meal and Nino allowed his hand to slide around the back of his head to bring him in close their lips brushing together in a sweet kiss. He swiped the bottom lip with his tongue and then pushed his way inside lapping at the roof of his mouth while pressing their bodies together. Behind him he could hear a startled, almost pained, gasp from his friend but Nino kept his focus on his lord. Nino moaned as Ohno’s arms wrapped tightly around his body, holding him close, as he stole control of the kiss. He bit and sucked at Nino lips while tilting his head this way and that trying to bring them even closer together.  “Please do not threaten to arrest my friends…”

“Then they should not touch what is mine…” Ohno growled causing Nino to let out a laugh nuzzling his face into the line of his neck his lips just grazing the exposed skin there as he whispered

“I have I not told you enough yet, my love, but I will always be yours...Everything I am belongs to you...”
“You know Kazunari…I…You should not say these things to me… At least not while in the company of others…My thoughts are dangerously inappropriate…” Ohno told him and there was another choked sounding gasp from Toma and Nino knew that he should feel guilty but he didn’t. He was Ohno’s lover and it was his love that he wanted to reassure.

“Then let me take you somewhere that your thoughts are not inappropriate but very welcomed…” Nino whispered brushing the skin with his lips again and sighing when the arms around him tightened for a second and then he released him holding him by the shoulders and peering into his face. Nino gave him a smile his fingers once again on his scarred cheek while his other hand moved over the scar on his throat loving the feeling of his lord. There were the soft sounds of footsteps and the rustling of clothing as Toma ran away and Nino sighed fighting the pang of regret in his heart.

“He might never forgive you…” Ohno murmured and Nino nodded giving him a tighter smile trying to tell himself that he was okay with that.

“No he might not…but yours in the only opinion that matters to me…” He said knowing that that was the true. Ohno tilted his head to one side looking like he was trying to read the emotions that were buried in his eyes. The lord gave a sigh, his fingers coming up to stroke the soft escaped strands of hair away from his face.

“…Kazunari…Go after him…” He said eventually his hands dropping away and Nino blinked in amazement unable to trust his hearing.

“My lord…?” He questioned uncertainly and Ohno gave a smile pressing his lips to his forehead before saying with a show of great reluctance

“Go to him and then come to our room I will be waiting for you there…” as he pushed him towards the path that Toma had needed. Nino stood his ground his hands going to his hips

“Satoshi…I do not care…”

“Liar…” Ohno half barked out his voice tinged with a laugh and Nino glowered at being seen through “I know that you did that display to ease me…”

“I did it because I love you…Though I did hope to appease you a little…” Nino admitted and Ohno sighed looking at the Koi pond again before hissing out

“I am a possessive bastard…I cannot even tell you the words that you want to hear but I am making you drive away friends that have helped you…I do not wish that…I would not have you become bitter and twisted…Even if I would prefer to keep you locked away for only my eyes to see…”

Nino’s heart skipped and dance wondering who would need ‘I love you’ when he had been given such beautiful words. He had never felt more loved in his life and he knew that his voice was shaking when he replied.

“You are indeed possessive my love but I would not have you any other way…I know that when you are ready you will tell me those words…” Nino told him stepping up to him again and kissing him again before whispering “I will return to our room shortly my love…”

“I will wait for you there…” Ohno nodded and Nino stroked the scar a final time before heading down the path in search of Toma. He had a feeling that he knew where his friend would go but before that he went to Aiba’s room smiling fondly when he saw his brother sitting on the floor with his head on the bed asleep holding Aiba’s good hand. Aiba was also sleeping but it was an almost peaceful sleep, the kind that Nino had seen if he woke early enough, and no longer the sleep of the near dead. Swiftly and silently he crossed the room unable to resist kissing his friend before dropping a sheet over his brother. He left the room as quickly as he could trying not to disturb either of the two men before heading to the place that he knew Toma would be.

It was in the east garden by the dog daisy plants. It was a place that all three of them enjoyed going too and was once the only place that they could go too without causing a scandal. As he reached the east garden Nino saw that he was right about his friend and he slowed from his run into a sedate walk his mind trying to come up with something that he could say.

“I thought that you would have gone to Masaki…” He said as he reached his friend glad when he got an answer even as Toma’s whole body stiffened.

“I did not wish to disturb him the monk that your lord brought with you is doing that enough…” He mumbled sounding as if he was holding back his tears “Are you sure that it is okay for you to be here? I would not enjoy being arrested…”

“My lord sent me after you…And as for my brother Sho, he is helping to sooth him…He has already done more than the healer has…Masaki awoke…And the powder he gave took away the pain…Almost as soon as he had given him it…Do not blame my lord Sho because you are angry with me…” Nino muttered angrily and Toma sighed pulling at one of the daisies and pulling it apart with his fingers as his face flashed with anger and sadness.

“I am not angry with you… But maybe both you and the scarred shamed lord…”

“You mean Lord Ohno…He deserves your respect…” Nino said his voice icy and he didn’t care when Toma’s back stiffened even further “If you knew even half of what he has done…”

“And, pray tell me friend, how did your defence of the lord become so certain? Out of all the consorts in the Garden walls you were the one that spoke ill of him the most…” Toma asked pushing the white petals away from his legs before pulling on another flower giving it the same cruel treatment.

“That was until I found that we are in love…” Nino stated confidently sinking down to the floor next to his friend and stopping his hand from ripping the head off of another flower. Their fingers touched briefly and although Toma’s breath caught Nino felt no reaction.

“In love…” Toma scoffed pulling his hand away “Please Nino do not make me laugh, he would not know what love is…He treats you only as possession…You would be sold just as easily as he bought you…”

“My lord did not buy me…He requested me as a reward over gold and land…” Nino replied haughtily “As for the rest you know nothing about my lord…”

“Nino you hated him…” Toma said as if that would make him see sense again

“I did…I admit it freely that I hated him…but that was before I knew him now I have spent time with him I know that my opinion of him was jaded…As is yours…If you spent time with him you would know...” Nino tried, he knew that it would take a lot more than words to convince his friend but, like his love for his lord, all he had were words.

“But I am in love with you…” Toma muttered sounding completely miserable and Nino’s heart clenched at the sentiment but he was determined when he replied with.

“And I am in love with my lord…He needs me…And he loves me...Whether you believe it or not”
“I had your love once…”

“You…Did…I will say it…” Nino whispered not wanting to tell his friend that what he had felt for him had only been a calf love, a love that he had craved but had never really felt not until Ohno. “But…My feelings have changed…”

“Your spirit is quick to change…” Toma huffed getting to his feet “I wish my heart would forget so quickly…”

“I have not forgotten you…You just have taken a different place in my heart…”

“A lesser one…”

“No the same one that I have for Aiba...” Nino sighed pushing his hair away from his face as he got to his feet. Toma looked up at him his eyes shadowed with all the hurt he was feeling and Nino took a steadying breath “Toma…You will always be my friend and I do love you but only as a friend…I am sorry…I hope that in time you will forgive me…But now I will go to my love…”

A/N: I keep having weird dreams…Last I dreamt that I was married to MatsuJun and we had 8 children and we had to go on the run because he was a con-man and we ended up living in a clock tower (I refuse to listen to monster before sleeping again) Ohno and Sakurai were the policemen assigned to bring us in but Sakurai fell in love with my oldest son Masaki…While my second eldest son Kazu did magic tricks on the street to help get money  and Ohno kidnapped him to try and blackmail us into turning ourselves in but I’m pretty sure they ended up in bed together at some point >.< I woke up when me and all of Arashi were just about to have a show down in a shopping centre against the police force who were led by Okura Tadayosh and Ikuta Toma… Anyways…Ahem…I hope you enjoyed ^_^

ps: Second coat of paint almost done on the stairs :D

haha, I must say, that was definitely an amusing dream you had there! Plenty to think about. :P

I liked these last two chapters a lot, maybe because they're kind of tying up loose ends between Nino and Toma. I feel sorry for Toma though, it must be difficult for him. :(
