You, Me, and Baby part 19

Nino let out a moan, opening his eyes slowly as dull pain seared through his head. He felt sick and his mouth was dry as though he had been walking through a desert without any water. He blinked up at the unfamiliar ceiling for a moment wondering where he was when sounds started to come to him and dull memories poked at his mind trying to get his attention.

“Jareth!” He shouted trying to get up from the bed but the world span around him and the pain in his head increased causing him to collapse onto the floor in an undignified heap. “Argh…”

“What are you doing out of bed?” A stern but warm voice asked sweeping up to him and Nino looked up into the face of a mature looking nurse. Her eyes were framed with wrinkles and her hair streaked with grey. She had a kindly face though and her hands were gentle as she attempted to pick him up and put him back into bed.

“Jareth? Where is Jareth?” He gasped clutching tightly to the woman’s shoulders. The nurse gave him a startled look asking softly;

“Who is Jareth?”

“The baby…I was with a baby…”

“I’m sorry sweetie…You were found on your own…” The nurse looked concerned now and Nino felt his heart snap into trying to remember what had happened and where Jareth was. He had been with him in the park, they had been going to his mums…Pain…He had been hit on the back of the head and somebody was taking Jareth away.

“They took him…They hit me and then they took him…I have to find him…”

“You have to get back into bed” The nurse was stronger than she looked and although Nino was trying to push passed her she held him firm and placed him down onto the bed. “So, I can get the doctor to look at you. You had a nasty hit to the back of your head and you weren’t found for some time…”

“But Jareth…I need to find Jareth…” Nino whined not knowing how he was going to face Satoshi. He had lost his son, he hadn’t even tried to rescue him.

“I’m sure your baby is with his mama, you are just confused…you settle down here and I will fetch you a phone, so you can call her…” The nurse told him in the same voice he used on Jareth whenever he was being fussy. Surprisingly with the amount of pain he was feeling and the way the room seemed to spin when he moved his head the soft tone was working, and he found himself relaxing into the pillows a bit thinking that maybe Jareth was at home with Satoshi. Maybe somebody had found him. “Now, can you tell me your name?”

“Ninomiya Kazunari…Nino…Please…Let me have a phone…” He pleaded and the nurse relented with a soft smile nodding her head as she quickly walked away from the bed. Nino stared around the hospital room with almost unseeing eyes. His mind was filled with so many thoughts and emotions and he wanted to be sick. What if Jareth wasn’t with Satoshi? What if he had been taken? Would they kill him? He must be so scared…Tears rolled lazily down his cheeks as he thought about the little bundle of joy that he had fallen for hard. He looked so much like his uncle that it would be impossible for anyone to think that he wasn’t his father.

“Here you are Ninomiya-san…And don’t cry, pet, I’m sure your baby is safe at home…” The nurse handed him a black mobile and then patted his eyes with a tissue causing him to hiss with pain. “Ah sorry…You…Have a very bad sunburn…They think that you must have been laying on the floor for some time…”

“I see…” Nino muttered before rolling his shoulders and dialling Satoshi’s number. He knew it by heart now, even though he rarely called him from it. Surprisingly the phone only rang twice before it was being answered. Instead of the idol it was Jun who sounded tired and stressed.

“Hello? Matsumoto Jun speaking…Who is this?”

“Um…Jun…” He whispered softly tearing up again at the sound of the man’s voice. Jun gave a hiss of a breath before speaking all in a rush. Most of it was directed to him but some to Satoshi who must have been somewhere in the background.

“Nino? Oi! Satoshi…It’s Nino! Are you okay? Where are you? Have you been hurt? Is Jareth with you?”

“Jareth…They took Jareth…I’m in hospital…Jareth…I…” He stammered not knowing what to say as he realised that the baby wasn’t safe with Satoshi and had indeed been taken. Any hope that might have blossomed in his heart vanished like a light bulb blowing and the feeling only grew worse when he heard Satoshi’s gentle voice coming down the line.

“Kazu…Oh god, Kazu…I thought you were gone…Where are you? I’m coming to you…”

“I’m sorry…I’m so sorry…I lost Jareth…I…Where is he?”

“We’ll find him sweetheart, just tell me where you are so I can come to you…” Satoshi asked and Nino felt the phone being taken from his hand by the nurse who gave the name of the hospital and the ward before saying that she would contact the police and have them meet them there at the hospital.

“I’m sorry, pet, but I’m sure that your baby will be found safe and sound…”

“What if he isn’t? What…Oh…I need to be sick…” Nino gasped throwing himself to one side as his stomach twisted around and bile rose up into his throat. The nurse grabbed a cardboard bowl from the side and held it for him as he emptied the contents of his stomach out into it. There wasn’t much but he couldn’t stop shivering and gagging as his whole body started to shake. His head was splitting in two, but nothing mattered anymore. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and then got to his feet. “I’m sorry…I have to go…I have to find him…He needs me…He’s only a baby…”

“You won’t make it as far as the end of the ward pet” The nurse whispered gently her hand coming to secure him in place as he started to wobble again. “You’re in shock. You have no idea what you’re doing…Let the police come and your boyfriend and then they will be able to help you. Killing yourself won’t help you get your little boy back…Now come on, get back into bed pet, it will all be okay…”

“I want my mummy…” Nino sobbed doing as he was told and dropping back into the bed and hugging himself tightly.

“Do you know her number? I will give her a call…It will be okay, sweetheart, you’ll see…”

Poor Nino! At least Ohno knows where Nino is now....they will have each other. Between them they will figure it out. I'm sure Jun has kept track of Ohnos sister and they may both think to check with the other nannies in the building (in case they saw anything)? Besides the baby missing they will also have Ohno front and center in the news when this gets out. I think everything may spill soon. Hope Aiba gets there with Sho....Sho might be able to turn the press in a positive way? 😊💙💛

Oh poor kazu ;^; at least his in the hospital and being taken care of and that ohno now knows where Nino is! but damn I want to hurt that bitch for taking the baby!!!

There will be a lot of angry people soon XX I don't think anybody will forgive whoever took jareth for taking the boy and making nino so miserable. Ohno, Jun, Aiba, Sho, nino's mother and sister....
