Never Comes the day part twelve

Sho watched Ohno friend after he had highlighted his plan to him knowing that it was a lot to ask from anybody but knowing that there was no other choice. Ohno hummed softly his long graceful fingers pressing into an arch in front of his face as he gave a slow blink.

"You want me to pretend to be the father of your girlfriend’s baby?" He asked slowly and Sho was almost cursing that he couldn't work out what was going through his mind, knowing that he would never play poker against the man in front of him “Why?"

"Because…" Sho cried before stopping himself when he realised that his voice was raised into an almost shout. He coughed and quickly took a calming breath before starting again in a lower tone "because she's not just my girlfriend...she's also my sister...my real sister..."

As much as he wanted to keep it a secret from as many people as possible he knew that the only way that he could get the older man to even think about agreeing was the truth. Sho was almost relieved when the other boy didn’t immediately run away after his announcement; in fact if Ohno hadn’t let out a soft hum he wouldn’t have been sure if he had even heard him at all.

"Ah well that would make it difficult ne?" Ohno mumbled eventually in his same soft, almost disinterested, sounding tone and Sho honestly felt like he could faint or at least be pushed over with a feather how can anybody be so calm about that? "So how long would I have to pretend?"

Sakurai chewed his lip, his tongue almost sticking to the roof of his mouth. The truth was they would always have to pretend; Ohno’s name would be put down as the father of his and Kazuko’s baby and even if there was a problem with its DNA or anything else they would have to come up with something later.

"Forever...” He whispered “I mean just as the baby’s father… But you wouldn't need to date her for more than a month or two..."

"It's a lot to ask, Sho-kun” Ohno sighed and Sho nodded humming to himself his heart sinking to his stomach a little. On the bed Kazuko let out a soft whimper slash snore and turned to watch as she snuggled down hugging at the pillow. The worry had left her face now she was sleeping but she looked frailer and more innocent and a flash of hot resolve flooded into his heart

"I know it is...and I wouldn't ask if I had any other option..." He said “I will do anything you want me
"Relax, I'll do it…” Ohno said over riding him by putting up his hand and hope, thankfulness and worry all fought for dominance in Sho’s heart  “And there is something that I want you to do for me..."

"Anything" Sho repeated with a frantic nod his eyes shining happily now knowing that, barring a crime, he would do anything for his friend.

"I want you to help me get Masuyo-chan...." Ohno muttered his voice barely audible and for a second or two Sho thought that might have misheard him and slowly he made sure by asking

"You want to date Aiba-chan?"

"Yeah…I think she's great..." Ohno nodded flashing him a shy smile that looked out of place on his face. Not because he was embarrassed but because he was showing any kind of emotion at all. Ohno gave a small laugh rubbing the back of his neck as he continued “I’ve always had a thing for her but…Well you got there first…And now since you’re not dating her anymore…I mean you’re not right…”

“Obviously not…” Sho agreed still amazed that Ohno was being so open about this. It made sense Masuyo was out going and emotional while Ohno was calm and steady they would complement each well and hopefully over time there personalities would rub off on each other. But Sho found it weird to be talking about helping somebody win his ex-girlfriend. Kazuko made another sound behind him and he realised that he was being a selfish prat. Would he really risk throwing away the help of somebody just because he found it weird? No chance “Okay, I’ll help you…”

“Then we have a deal…” Ohno grinned as his hand reached over the table. They shook hands quickly and Sho wondered how he was going to tell Kazuko what had been agreed. He knew his sister wouldn’t be overly happy with the new but he hoped that she would understand why they had to do it. There was a snuffle from the bed and then the shifting of springs as Kazuko woke letting out a loud yawn that died half way out when she saw that Ohno was sitting at the table.

“Good morning, Kazuko-chan …” Ohno in a cheerful, bright voice that echoed around the room and Sho watched as Kazuko’s cheeks burned hotly as she tried to sort out the next of hair that had surrounded her face

“Good morning…” She whispered her voice rough with sleep as she scrambled to her feet and headed to the bathroom pulling down the t-shirt that had ridden up, flashing off her baby bump in a pretty sort of way. “Sho-chan can I use your toothbrush?”

“It’s in the cupboard closest to the door…” Sho called back making her a drink, wishing that he could give her coffee but knowing that until he got decaffeinated it wouldn’t be good for the baby. There was the sound of a running tap and then spitting before more running water before Kazuko came back into his room just in time for Sho to stir the tea and hand it to her.

“I’m going to be your boyfriend and the father of your baby…” Ohno said suddenly with a grin just as she had taken a sip of the drink. The liquid spurted across the room as Kazuko’s mouth dropped open and her breath released in a hiss and Sho groaned wishing that Ohno hadn’t been so blunt about it.

“Excuse me?” She gasped her eyes darting to the two men as she wiped her mouth and top with a tissue
“Just to help you out with your parents…” Ohno answered still smiling and Sho stepped forward giving his own tight smile as he rested his hands on her shoulders and tried to explain.

“As much as I wish I could I can’t support us and the baby while being in college…We need mum and dad’s help…We could run away but real life doesn’t work like that mum and dad would hunt us down and then there would be an even bigger mess to deal with. If we say that Satoshi is the father of your baby then you break up it won’t be as bad…”

“Won’t be as bad?” Kazuko repeated her eyebrow lifted halfway up her forehead “I’m dating Jun when are we going to say I met Ohno-san?”

“Well obviously more than four months ago…” Ohno chuckled brightly, looking like this was all just a big joke that he was enjoying more than anything. 

“But won’t this just cause problems for you?” Kazuko asked him and Ohno shrugged shaking his head as he poked his tongue into his left cheek.

“I don’t mind...” He answered and Sho had to admit that he was lucky to have such good and loyal friends. Masuyo had surprised him and so was Ohno.

“Do you know…The whole story I mean…” She asked her face paling visibly when Ohno gave a short nod
“Sho-kun explained everything…”

“And you still want to help us?” Kazuko whispered and Sho gave her a small smile taking two steps towards her watching for any sign that she was going to have a bad reaction like she did earlier.
“I do…”

“Is everybody in this college mental?” She muttered under her breath and Sho held her tightly pressing a kiss to the top of her head hugging her tightly.

“I’ve just been very lucky with my choice of friends…”

Oh GOOODDD!!
It totally surprise me !! Oh-chan and Aiba-chan, I was not expecting that but I love it , I had always got a soft spot for this pairing OHBA !!

I can imagine them together the over exited and the extreamly calm, two opposite personality but complimenting each other!!

zuko and sho found a solution for now, wondering how would everything will work!!

Thanks for the update and don't push yourself so much, take a nap plus some medicine if you can it usually helps me (suffers of migranes), write whenever you can!!

Ohno seems that he doesn't matter to be Kazuko's son father and that his friend is going out and get pregnant his own sister.
I like Ohba!!!!! Sho didn't know or suspect that Ohno likes Masayo. ^^
But... What about Jun??? He will feel hurt and betrayed that his girlfriend will get a baby from another. Because i suspect that she didn't slep with him, right?!?
