Nino gently brought his hand up to slowly stroke Satoshi’s face. They had been watching the video for most of the morning. This first file had just been random snippets of his life with both his parents. It was nothing outstanding, just little clips, but he had never felt so connected with both of his parents. His mother had told him about his dad and he knew that he loved him but seeing it had been something all together different. Satoshi hadn’t moved as he watched the video, gently stroking his hand and wrist while he cried throughout. He hadn’t said anything, but his presence had been so comforting that he knew he wouldn’t have been able to get passed the first sentence without him.

“Thank-you” He breathed as the first file shut down and Satoshi gave him a slightly confused smile his head cocking ever so slightly to one side as he exclaimed;

“I didn’t do anything”

“You did, I wouldn’t have been able to watch this” Nino breathed gently his mouth twisting into a smile before he moved up and closed the distance between them. The kiss was sweet, lacking any real fire at first, but Nino somehow felt a rush of emotions from him. His arms wrapped around the older man’s neck, his fingers tangling in the soft downy hair as Satoshi’s arms circled his body and he brought him over to sit in his lap. They tasted each other for a while and then slowly they broke apart, so Nino could lay his head on his chest. “I’m sorry that it’s not being a happy Christmas”

“I beg to differ. It’s been more emotional than I anticipated but I won’t say I haven’t enjoyed it. I have loved getting to know your parents through these videos and learning all your embarrassing, but cute moments” Satoshi whispered almost into his hair and Nino laughed his cheeks burning at some of the things that his parents had included. He really hadn’t expected them to include his first time using the potty or when he had gotten into their cupboard and come out wearing his dad’s tie and his mother’s high heels and nothing else. “You were an adorable, kid, Kazunari”

“Or course, I was, I’m adorable now so it makes sense I was as a kid” Nino smirked lifting himself up and looking into the chubby face of the older man. Satoshi chuckled, rolling his eyes dramatically slowly his face twisting into a smirk of his own.

“Vein little tease, aren’t you?” He chuckled playfully his fingers gripping almost painfully at his hips and Nino wiggled against him laughing as Satoshi found his ticklish spot and attacked it mercilessly. Nino howled with laughter now wriggling around so much on his lover’s lap that he slipped to the floor with a bump. “Sorry…Are you okay?” Satoshi asked, and Nino nodded grabbing his hand and pulling him down to join him on the floor. He sat on his stomach and attacked at the man’s armpits, delighted that he was as ticklish. “Brat…I surrender”

“Nope! Not going to work!” Nino growled continuing to attack before yelping as Satoshi flipped them over and sat himself on his legs. It wasn’t a situation that Nino ever thought he would be in with his demon boss, but he couldn’t deny that his heart was fluttering around in his chest with excitement and something that he would probably say was close to love. “What do you think our baby will be like?”

“I haven’t thought about it, mostly I would like them to be healthy. I wouldn’t mind if they looked like you” Satoshi answered pushing up his t-shirt and jumper and running his fingers over his stomach. Nino watched him with a smile enjoying the sensations of the fingers moving over his stomach. “You?”

“I would like it if they were like you…At least in looks. Your personality mostly stinks” Nino chuckled jokingly. He hadn’t really thought about it, like Satoshi he mostly just wanted the baby to be healthy and he hoped that it would be as happy as he had been. “Though…The more I get to know you the more I like it…”

“I’m so glad” Satoshi chuckled his thumbs resting on either side of his belly button. His fingers were still moving, and Nino sighed happily closing his eyes and letting himself relax under the touches though he couldn’t help but remark.

“If you’re already obsessed with my stomach I’m worried about how you’ll be when it’s started to grow”

“I promise I’ll behave, Kazunari” Satoshi promised but Nino didn’t believe him, more so when Satoshi leaned down and kissed him just under his bellybutton. The action was so soft that Nino’s breath caught in his throat. His hands moved to hug the man’s head as he smiled with contentment. “You are so very beautiful, Kazunari”

“You make me feel beautiful” Nino muttered, his cheeks flushing. He knew that they were overly corny and fluffy, but he didn’t care. It was Christmas and they were just starting out on their relationship together they were allowed to be corny, at least just this once. Satoshi kissed him again, his mouth moving upwards slowly, thankfully he didn’t lift the shirt up anymore but did move so their faces were almost touching.

“You are beautiful, I knew it from when you first walked into my office”

“You didn’t show it. If I remember correctly you told me that I was an idiot” Nino chuckled. It wasn’t exactly the best impression that Nino could have of the man but if he were perfectly honest he must have been interested in Satoshi from that day or he wouldn’t have put up with that. “In fact, you seem to call me an idiot a lot”

“I’m sorry. You made me feel things that I have not experienced for a long time. Even now, being like this with you makes me terrified...”

“Why?”

“That I might lose you, that I will do something wrong and you will slip through my fingers like smoke” Satoshi’s voice was flat but his tone completely serious and gently Nino reached up and cupped the man’s cheeks.

“I don’t know what might happen in the future, Satoshi, but my family has always lived by ‘Just in case’. Just in case something happens, never regret a moment…” Nino breathed softly remembering his mum’s words clearly. ‘Always live in the now Kazu, never put something off, just in case you may not get another chance’. “Just in case something happens in the future, know that right at this minute, being here with you…It is the happiest I have ever been and remember that right now, I am falling in love with you…”

A/N: I hope that this is okay >.< There will be a time skip soon…After the doctors visit so we can move a little further in their relationship and the pregnancy xD

Good the puppies will be older and some in other homes.....causing puppy trouble no doubt. Lol! Nino will be changing some....he thinks too fat...Ohno thinks too beautiful? What of Ohnos ex? Will they get a clean break or will problems turn up? Can't wait to see what will happen! 😊💙💛
I marched during the March for our Lives day in my home town. There was about a hundred in our group. It was fun! Hope it shows those NRA bought politicians that their time is at an end!👍
